My struggle with shotguns isn't target acquisition at all, its figuring out what the lead is and where the pallets actually land. I notice in this video when you are hitting the ducks, they are substantially over your front sight post, whereas at that range being probably double the zero, I compensate a touch and basically point the barrels straight at the duck. Still figuring out the ballistics, feels like the rounds move a little more slowly than I'm used to unless its just latency.

Great point, in leading a target is totally different based on the shotgun. But if you can't do the basics your swing will slow you down. Doing basic practice drills with a shotgun will help you in more advanced shots and leading the target. It's more about can you even get your swing to be on point because the default settings will not be on point. Get your baic settings and than your swings settings next. I have guns in irl I swing& shoot better and just like the game you should practice.

I find it best to arrive early in the morning when the flocks haven't landed in the water, use the caller when you see them flying in the air, if the caller works, they'll start flying down straight towards you like feathered hell demons. At which point, you start blasting with the shotgun.

Thanks for the tips. My pc isn't the best at running this game as it's slow when I try to shoot at pheasants, but on the ground I can hit the pheasants but I'll try to get some air shots for the pheasants with lag

You didn't really explain whether you should lead or not. I find this game is not realistic for air shots because of the lack of lead required.

I have the same one in game and have found myself sky blasting for sure with it. A front bead would really help it. A little practice and I got it.
