    I found that one coat for the flat is more suitable, two coats made mine crack after a couple days of wearing it. Maybe because it was thick.

      Did you use dye???

    How would you recommend painting the cage. I'm not a huge fan of the translucent cage.

    Hey good job! But just wondering why you applied two layers of jet black before flat black? Can't it be just two flat black layers instead?

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MoJo M.O.K. Its because the flat black will eventually crack showing what ever is underneath the paint. With out the dye the white of the boost will show through the cracks. I not really sold on the dye either cause it kinda looks like a black sharpie when the flat black paint cracks or chips. But with the dye it much harder to tell the shoes are painted. Im also thinking of painting the soile of my tripple white ultra boosts white cause they looking a tad dingy lol. For that project i think only flay whit paint is need with no dye. Hope this helps!

    Jeff Fallout: Any updates on what you have found out the best procedure to do this? I'm thinking two layers of dye, and just one flat black paint so paint will be less prone to cracking. Also, do you have updated video to show the cracks mentioned below?

    • @JeffFallout

      i did an update bro here it is

    Do you have to put it in the oven or can you just let it air dry? Outcome looks great btw might try it on mine!

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, just a question, After you painted Both shoes with the Flat Black Paint (1oz)
    Did you have alot left in the bottle? Or like 1/4 och 2/4 left, tell me, thanks,
    And when you said Layer, you meant you painted it with the same paint 2 Times'?
    Btw great quality tbh

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      nivea fresh there is alot left in the bottle so you can repaint the shoe multiple times cause after some time the paint will crack but ive repainted the shoes 4 times and still have paint left over

    My question is do you absolutely need the matte acrylic finisher along with the deglazer?

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Timothy Vaughn i did not use either of them so im not sure how they how they would effect the performance of the paint

  • @LawrenceTan

    Wow! That's a clean one bro! i wish i could do the same.. haha

  • @ivanespin6536
    @ivanespin6536 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    If i scrub to clean them, will the color go away?

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      its pretty difficult to actually scrub it off but there is some chipping that happens with wear but overall but that easy to fix with repainting and dying. i wear them all the time so ill do an update video of the wear on them.

  • @11Elevon
    @11Elevon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Should've deglazed/nail polish remover them first bro, so the paint can absorb into the boost quicker - hence reducing the cracking..

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      11Elevon i feel like the results would have been the same bro the oil sharpie method works way better on boost then using Angelus paint. Going to drop an update video soon on some triple whites i painted i really how they have held up. Also have you tried painting you shoes by deglazing them first curious on if the are holding up well?

    • @11Elevon
      @11Elevon 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Fallout definitely a difference, the stock boost actually has a clear coating on them, and the deglazer removes that allowing it to have direct contact & adhesion with the paint. And yeah I want to see the triple white one!

    • @JeffFallout
      @JeffFallout  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      11Elevon dam well ill try it next time i guess and yea bro i have the video of me painting them up on my channel sub and be on the look out for the update video fam 💯

    • @JeffFallout

      BR C yes it will but i just repaint it after a few wears and it is as good as new!

    • @3rdwrldkid

      heard you gotta put finisher

    • @RichieLanderos
      @RichieLanderos 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alex Aguirre that’s just to help prevent it. It will still crack over time. Plus it’s not a good idea if you want the matte look. Because even the matte finisher leaves off a glossy layer on top. I’ve done a few customs like this and have used the finisher.
