If you go in the house by the well you actually see Lefte comforting a scared child. She also directs you to the well in case it wasn’t already obvious enough 😊
Don't know if you know this, but when you rest in a bed you can slightly increase the speed at which you heal by lying down just long enough for the hearts to increase, then getting back up real quick and lying down again and repeating. The healing effect triggers a split second after you lay down each time and yet takes three times as long to trigger when remaining lying down. Also the princess bed increases the amount recovered each time.
Pro Tip for anyone struggling with Ganon Volley-Thingy: Stay as Zelda, just evade the ball and go ham on canon as link when you evaded the ball. You have a big window to just go ham on him there, cuz he will just stand still and wait for you to hit the ball back. Also the same applies to when he throws his spear. you can just walk up to him and hit him, he will stand there and wait for his spear to come back.
+1 I never even thought about volleying that fireball. It was nice and slow, and Ganon was just hanging out there, and it was time to go whale on the bad guy
17:17 To get the chest sans frog ring You can use the bed echo +ultra hand to have the full length of the bed be used as the walkable area instead of just half. You gain between 1/2 and 3/4 extra distance using this method (it’s slower to use but great for stretching for extra distance)👍 Method 1- Spawn bed 2- move bed so the wooden legs (footboard) are on the edge of the ground (as far forward as possible) 3- Spawn another bed as normal 4- move new bed so the wooden legs are in line with the lower beds headboard 5- Repeat as needed 😁
As someone who spent hours standing in arcades playing the original DK games when I was a teenager, I can state with assurance - yes, dear Austin, that was Donkey Kong Jr.
After watching you defeat Ganon, I thought I'd NEVER be able to beat him. But I did it on only my second try! I had made up about 10 health and power smoothies as you suggested and used them all plus most of the single health items I had on hand. I did manage to grab the spinning weapon a few times and use it against him followed by sword hits. But mainly I just kept rushing him while dropping boulders or water cubes to block his attacks and when I got close enough, I went into sword mode and wailed at him, and to my total surprise, it worked! Woohoo! Longtime subscriber here and you rock! Can't thank you enough for all the clear easy-to-follow advice I've gotten for this game as well as BOTW and TOTK. Have a nice day!
For the left chest, you can get it without the frog ring. Put a water block down, swim to the top, put a floating tile out and jump on it, and then wait till it takes you over. That's how I did it at least
You DON’T have to do the volley against the final boss. The speed before it’s hit is slow enough to outrun. Throw out wolf because he can dodge boss more than any other. And then run around the circle until you can just sword the boss himself. I also walked the volley ball into the boss once. He didn’t hit it since I hadn’t hit it.
for the chest to the left in the still zone. i used a tile to ride over. if you go slightly night on the curve then point at an angle down, spawn the tile then jump on top, it brings you there.
In Hyrule Castle when I fought the Darknut level 2, I did it the easy way. I locked on to him and pulled him into a Water Block. He drowned. Lol, it was hysterical🤣. Try it, you might like it😊
I went into this fight blind. Had smoothies made from early game and actually just bypassed the volley part and just hit him in sword fighter mode. Not as much damage, but the volley is slow to easily avoid it.
16:55 Actually you CAN get this chest before the froggy charm!! I ran into it last night in a blind playthrough and tried a few random things to get over to it. I think I ended up chaining tables and a tall tree/shrub, then stood on the shrub and jumped onto the flying tile from the Gerudo area to yeet myself far enough that I could jump up onto the platform. Then used the flying tile again to get back over to the previous platform lol
In the stealth section, I got by that by going the ‘upper route’, and using water blocks to get on top of the various bits of environment. I think there was one or two points I still needed pots for a distraction, but it was pretty much smooth sailing past the majority of that segment
If you're struggling with the volley sections, just let him throw the fireball and walk around it and give him a few slashes in swordsman mode. You don't ever really have to play volley with him. You don't get as many hits but it's still effective.
You can use a platboom and keese to get the chest. Since you can glide with a keese. First get a table or trampoline and then spawn the platboom and as you go up, spawn a keese and lift.
You can skip the volley thing if you're not good at it by just letting the fireball follow you- it's not very fast and eventually it dissolves- I can't remember if it explodes when it dissolves but it was pretty easy to avoid damage from it. The fight would just be a bit longer probably
Love the Channel ❤!!! Im also from NJ...Edison...Keep up the amazing work and thanks for all the Zelda help...found your channel while playing breath of the wild
To get the chest outside without the froggy pin, i believe i set up a flying tile, jumped ontop, then once it flew me closer i jumped onto the platform. I missed once but i think thats another eay to grab it
Hey Austin i see you still like making the bed bridges idk if you forgot or didn’t realize but if u time it right with the jumps u can use the flying tiles to get over some chasms thats how i got that chest lol
I didn’t get to the frog ring yet and I got that chest. I stacked 4 beds and went to sword fighter form for Link’s jumping ability and made it just fine.
I got that treasure in the far tower using a Platboom then gliding with a Keese. Had several tries but ending up falling off. Hearing Zelda scream is painful T_T Same with the other chest with the monster parts. Just had to make sure I could get on it and place it close so when I jump off it, I don't fall into the abyss.
I got the chest by spawning a Platboom at the end of the curved segment before and when it elevated me up I spawned a Keese and used it to glide to the chest 🙂
THANK YOU! if I didn't listen and stock up on potions id be done for. also tried both tv and handheld move for the volley and got fucked up every time lol
Hey to get that left chest at 17:16 I laid down a table and jumped on top of it then road a flying tile over and just jumped off it before it broke. I didn't grab the tile with X I threw out the tile then jumped on top of it and took a ride over.
Honestly, i did this battle so differently… it took longer… but i was still able to finish it on time even in the final boss rush in the dojo. I never volleyed, i went around the ball and went next to him then switched to swordmaster mode and hit him. I never bound the rotating rod, same i just went around and hit him while he was waiting for it.. Also in the boss rush i had a Lynel to help :P
I got the chest before frog by starting the beds from the furthest down railing, and using that extra 1 height to make the final jump as if I had the frog.
I never even got the tennis fight. Or maybe I mistook it for a fireball. I just kept spamming 4 boomerang guys and using them as shields and went to sword fighter whenever I could. Didn’t last too long but I used 2 normal potions and no fairy’s.
Dude, did you know that the most broken echo there is, is the water block echo? It one shots EVERY monster in the game (that is not water breathing or is a boss) with just a bit of skill and the monster not doing the attack animation, you can drown them all! Also, water block can help skip rooms and puzzles.
I love being early. This game is genuinely really interesting, but it feels so much like a 3DS game I'm unsure about the $60 price tag with it. I do like all the callbacks to Link Between Worlds, that may be why its so 3DS feeling.
For that one chest i got it before i got the froggy pin. I believe I did 3 beds and then a trampoline and jumped off the trampoline to where the chest was.
If you're blind or have bad eye / hand like me, and you just can't get that ball to work, the boss can be defeated by consistant good targeting of Darknut II.
If you go in the house by the well you actually see Lefte comforting a scared child. She also directs you to the well in case it wasn’t already obvious enough 😊

Yep I just avoided hitting the orb altogether
@knaxi0272 My dumbass didn't realize that was a volley chance, even tho I've played many Zelda games and should've been to figure it out 🙄🤣
@@Ryan-qb5wd yeah same. I was just like: „that slow ball is supposed to hit me? Well guess I go ham on you in the meantime“
+1 I never even thought about volleying that fireball. It was nice and slow, and Ganon was just hanging out there, and it was time to go whale on the bad guy
Thank you *so much!* I was really struggling with the volleying but finally beat him with your tip.
17:17
To get the chest sans frog ring
You can use the bed echo +ultra hand to have the full length of the bed be used as the walkable area instead of just half.
You gain between 1/2 and 3/4 extra distance using this method (it’s slower to use but great for stretching for extra distance)👍
Method
1- Spawn bed
2- move bed so the wooden legs (footboard) are on the edge of the ground (as far forward as possible)
3- Spawn another bed as normal
4- move new bed so the wooden legs are in line with the lower beds headboard
5- Repeat as needed 😁
Ths damn chair. You move the chair. Thanks buddy❤
As someone who spent hours standing in arcades playing the original DK games when I was a teenager, I can state with assurance - yes, dear Austin, that was Donkey Kong Jr.
I used the decorative shrub and avoided every guard. It made it SUPER easy.
Watching this after I've already finished this part is interesting. Seeing different ways to beat the dungeons
I love how many times Austin was wrong about where the best chest was.
I managed to get that left hand chest without the frog ring, using the same method of 4 beds, my last jump must have just been SUPER lucky lmao
I did this too lol
i used flying tiles
i used flying tiles and the breadpoint i just jump
I also used 4 beds, but then used sword fighter form for Link’s jumping ability and that worked great!
I just used X to move them apart more
After watching you defeat Ganon, I thought I'd NEVER be able to beat him. But I did it on only my second try! The whole ending of this made me so happy, especially with the music 🥰
I really like these walkthroughs.
I'm already past this point, but it feels nice to kind of chill out, review my steps, and see a few things I missed
I got the left chest by gaining height and using a flying tile.
Did the same, it worked pretty easy.
me too
same
Watching you beat Echo Gannon has shown me I have been playing the hard way.
Those volleys with Ganon are indeed complete garbage - thank you so much for the smoothie recs because they came in so handy!
I think I found the best echo to beat most of the enemies. The Buzz Blob. Use it as a weapon.
I got that chest without the froggy ring but had to land on the top edge. Love this video. Thanks for making it.
Man, thank you for this. It was driving me nuts trying to figure out how to get into that secret treasure room where the sand is.
To get the other chest without using frog ring use a flying tile
Never reflected fireball at Ganon. Just went around it to hit him repeatedly. Think you made it harder for yourself
for the chest to the left in the still zone. i used a tile to ride over. if you go slightly night on the curve then point at an angle down, spawn the tile then jump on top, it brings you there.
The lead up to that Frog Ring, LMAO
In Hyrule Castle when I fought the Darknut level 2, I did it the easy way. I locked on to him and pulled him into a Water Block. He drowned. Lol, it was hysterical🤣. Try it, you might like it😊
17:00 You can use Flying tile instead of beds, it's much faster. But you have to jump out of the tile before it breaks.
Love the videos, have been a big help. I am proud to say I was able to get the 2 outside chests without having the frog ring..
I went into this fight blind. Had smoothies made from early game and actually just bypassed the volley part and just hit him in sword fighter mode. Not as much damage, but the volley is slow to easily avoid it.
The stealth room, I just flew across the room with the flying tile. Easy peasy.
Just an FYI. Zelda can jump into the pots and hide/hope around inside the pots
In the stealth section, I got by that by going the ‘upper route’, and using water blocks to get on top of the various bits of environment. I think there was one or two points I still needed pots for a distraction, but it was pretty much smooth sailing past the majority of that segment
@17:09 if you do a bed then the flying platform, you can get to that chest with a timed jump
you can get the chest before the froggy ring by using the flying tile echo to get across the gap
If you're struggling with the volley sections, just let him throw the fireball and walk around it and give him a few slashes in swordsman mode. You don't ever really have to play volley with him. You don't get as many hits but it's still effective.
You can use the beds for the chest but slide the bed further out on the lower one with the Tri ability and you can reach further.
You can use a platboom and keese to get the chest. Since you can glide with a keese. First get a table or trampoline and then spawn the platboom and as you go up, spawn a keese and lift.
@23:40 also don't need boulders or echoes. you can *easily* pass these waves with spin avoids and link close hits. repeat repeat easypeasy.
THANK YOU!!!
My go-to offensive echo is Sword Moblin Level 2. That’s a beast. But so is the Darknut Level 3 I just got too.
You can skip the volley thing if you're not good at it by just letting the fireball follow you- it's not very fast and eventually it dissolves- I can't remember if it explodes when it dissolves but it was pretty easy to avoid damage from it. The fight would just be a bit longer probably
Austin, I am such a huge fan! I think I have watched every single Zelda video you released. How do you whip out 10 quality videos in 30 minutes?
Did not even think of grabbing the bosses weapon like that!
Love the Channel ❤!!! Im also from NJ...Edison...Keep up the amazing work and thanks for all the Zelda help...found your channel while playing breath of the wild
Got the chest without the ring by bedding across further up along the diagonal and using the platform, then warp back across.
I got over to that outdoor chest with 4 beds angled above the jump area. I then used the teleport to get back out.
3:50 & 4:25 you can bed your way over to the chest even with the 'easier' method beds will still be more optimal.
You can use a Platboom and a Keese to get that chest before you get the Frog Ring.
This is just a suggestion but you might be able to get it with a flying tile.
20:42 I just ran around the fireball then put a ball-and-chain trooper next to him. He does all the hitting for me and I don't need sword form :D
Got stuck where I had to move the chair. I prefer to blind play whenever possible but I will thank you for that and sub lol.
just use sword mode to double your jump height to get that one chest before you have the frog ring
20 minutes ago I did hyrule castle without a video finally
You can in fact rush the stealth part by using bed bridges and just staying up top
The volley isnt necessary, I just had my echoes lure it and I went straight to ganon.
You can use the flying tile to get the chest
Last chest gotten can be obtained with just the flying tile. It goes just far enough for you to jump from it to the platform
To get the chest outside without the froggy pin, i believe i set up a flying tile, jumped ontop, then once it flew me closer i jumped onto the platform. I missed once but i think thats another eay to grab it
Can you organise your playlist so Episode 1 is first?
done
Hey Austin i see you still like making the bed bridges idk if you forgot or didn’t realize but if u time it right with the jumps u can use the flying tiles to get over some chasms thats how i got that chest lol
I didn’t get to the frog ring yet and I got that chest. I stacked 4 beds and went to sword fighter form for Link’s jumping ability and made it just fine.

Hearing Zelda scream is painful T_T Same with the other chest with the monster parts. Just had to make sure I could get on it and place it close so when I jump off it, I don't fall into the abyss.
i legit thought this was the end of the game going into the 'leave light' until that cut scene happened lolz
I got the chest by spawning a Platboom at the end of the curved segment before and when it elevated me up I spawned a Keese and used it to glide to the chest 🙂
Managed to get the chest on the outlying rampart with just a flying tile, jump off as soon as it's about to hit and land on the platform
17:09, yes I got it before the froggy pin. I did your method with the beds and just jumped and I made it.
Wow cant believe how hard that boss fight was had to use all my smoothies except 1
THANK YOU! if I didn't listen and stock up on potions id be done for. also tried both tv and handheld move for the volley and got fucked up every time lol
Hey to get that left chest at 17:16 I laid down a table and jumped on top of it then road a flying tile over and just jumped off it before it broke. I didn't grab the tile with X I threw out the tile then jumped on top of it and took a ride over.
For the chest up high, i did a platboom and keese to glide over
Got my left chest by using the flying tile and hoping off it at the last minute!
Honestly, i did this battle so differently… it took longer… but i was still able to finish it on time even in the final boss rush in the dojo. I never volleyed, i went around the ball and went next to him then switched to swordmaster mode and hit him. Also in the boss rush i had a Lynel to help :P
17:17 floor tile
I got the chest before frog by starting the beds from the furthest down railing, and using that extra 1 height to make the final jump as if I had the frog.
You can use the flying tile
I used sideways water blocks to get the red rupee chest. you can jump into floating water blocks without the frog ring.
I never even got the tennis fight. Or maybe I mistook it for a fireball. I just kept spamming 4 boomerang guys and using them as shields and went to sword fighter whenever I could. Didn’t last too long but I used 2 normal potions and no fairy’s.
phase 4 gannon was fun!!! right, right?
To get that chest without the froggy pin I put four beds down and went into sword fighter mode to get a longer jump
@17:13 so easy floating floor :)
Dude, did you know that the most broken echo there is, is the water block echo? It one shots EVERY monster in the game (that is not water breathing or is a boss) with just a bit of skill and the monster not doing the attack animation, you can drown them all! Also, water block can help skip rooms and puzzles.
I just used the floating platform to do it with me standing on the ledge. I used the floating platform so much.
I love being early. This game is genuinely really interesting, but it feels so much like a 3DS game I'm unsure about the $60 price tag with it.
I do like all the callbacks to Link Between Worlds, that may be why its so 3DS feeling.
If it helps I don't feel like that playing it.
Leftette is in that house helping a boy 2:58
For the gust master the best way to deal with them is just ultrahand, then let them fall to the abyss.
For that one chest i got it before i got the froggy pin. I believe I did 3 beds and then a trampoline and jumped off the trampoline to where the chest was.
i got that chest with 3 beds and a bat. got back the same way without the ring.
Man, I didn’t get those two chest from outside. Can I still get them after finishing the dungeon?
That one chest at the end you can get without the frog ring, you just need to jump in sword fighter mode.
14:26 actually the easiest way is with a plat boom here, and you can jump across the other side
17:18 you can in sword fighter form. That’s how I got it before I got the froggy pin
I got the chest with the red rupee without the froggy ring, I was able to pillar up a bit then use a flying tile to get over
Austin they are not Drednaws!😭😭😭 That’s a turtle Pokémon my guy
18:36 - 18:45 , 23:40 - 23:49 - Since he's an echo, I shall call him Janon the Janitor!
I’d rather be avoiding yigas than doing this damn stealth mission in b1
If you're blind or have bad eye / hand like me, and you just can't get that ball to work, the boss can be defeated by consistant good targeting of Darknut II.
Wait a minute. ZELDA GETS SENT TO THE GULAG?!? 😂
The lizalfo lvl 2 made Ganon not so bad
Salted milk smoothie sounds vile tbh:/
