  • If you're a shorter man, it can be hard to find casual shirts like t-shirts and polo shirts that actually fit and flatter your body. I'm just under 5'6", and I went to the mall to see if I could find some shirts that looked great on me.
    I tried on shirts from Old Navy, Express, Forever 21, H&M, Ralph Lauren, Under Armour and a few other brands (including some from the boys' department). I'll show you how each shirt fit and share my thoughts about each brand in this video. Enjoy!

    "Shop to fit" I like that quote!! I have the same issue with shirts, either they are too long or too snugging. They were good shirts though. Well done

      When I look at the shirts, the stomage parts are WIDER thqn the shoulders. How in the hell does someone be wider in their back and side of the stomsge than shoulders

    adding some muscle on to your frame greatly helps with the length, since I stopped getting taller I wore medium and it fit me well both length and size wise, now few years later a wear large and it is the same length pretty much

    As always Brock is 'the man' - Once again proving to us all two very important lessons... 1 - We all need a great tailor if we are going to buy off the rack and 2nd made to measure is looking like a great way to go for those of us who can afford it.

    I've always noticed the issue of t-shirts being too long, so lately I've been getting them tailored (shortened) by a couple inches or so. I know its only a t-shirt, but it goes from being an item I wouldn't wear to something I really like. By the way, love your channel Brock. Keep em coming!

    • @BrockMcGoff
      @BrockMcGoff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheFactaa agreed 100%. Totally worth the cost, otherwise the shirt just goes to waste.

    Your spot on with assessment you've made. I'm the exact same size as you and the only other clothing company I found that I think you may or may not like is Asos. They have muscular fit tshirt made by them but it is fairly tight. For $10 they are amazing but I dig the underarmor.
    The underarmor looked great on you IMO it looked the best. I feel you on the big logos. I don't really like em to stand out but the fit was spot on. I might even aim for a youth large but I'll know soon... Thanks!!!!

    Try uniqlo if you can! They have some really decent quality polos at an affordable price. I am 5'5 and they basically fit me perfectly from the arm to the length. And they don't really have any visible branding on them.

    I'm not short but I find your videos super helpful because I'm skinny (I'm 5' 10" and 130 lbs). If it fits slim on you but is too long, it's probably going to work well for me. I really like this video and the one you did on shorts.

  • @emmanuelespad
    @emmanuelespad 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Me: 5'5 and 140 pounds
    Advice #1 (basic): focus only on tshits and polos that fits you well on the shoulders, tight on torso and arms (sleeve length just above the middle of bicep)
    Advice #2 (took me some experience...but it's ridiculously simple): as "short" guy you'll straggle to find the right length...so buy the longest and then tuck it in your trousers!!!!!! It will look 100 times better than untucked because it will stretch your figure. (Why the longest? Because it will be easier to keep tucked in, while the shorter ones will come off your trousers every 2 seconds).
    P.s. About sizes, I usually go for an S but here in Italy tend to be smaller than in US

  • @andreasaskimvatne5193
    @andreasaskimvatne5193 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Try Bershka or Zara, I tend to find that they have sizes that fit most smaller men since Zara for example is based on european sizing.

    I think the reason why these shirts are so long is because they shrink so much when you wash them and toss em in the dryer, I usually buy my shirts this way that way after the first wear I throw it in the laundry and once it hans just right on the fly

    I'm 5'5 and nothing fits me except some shorts (9.5" or 10"). It's ridiculous. I don't know who set the measurements for these clothes. They make no sense. I have to hem everything, and I can almost never buy jackets. I can't buy track pants either. It's infuriating. They'll even tell you online that their model is 6'2 wearing a medium! And yet they still make a "big and tall" section... Are you kidding me?

    Buying T-shirt and jeans is nightmare for skin and short gay. Who made this ridicilous size when in online stores models have more than 185 cm height and wear size m and look good. Its madness. Even tshirt in size xs not fit because this fuc...n lenght. I discover that sometimes even the same model and the same brand in the same size have different lenght. Good give me a patience

      mikakami93 Limiting yourself stylistically in any way just because you're short is dumb. If it's stylish, it fits, and you like it, who cares if someone thinks you're an inch or two taller or shorter than you really are?
