What is so mind blowing about Queen is the diversity of their music, no matter what type or style of music you like there will always be a Queen song that will ....... Take your breath away !
Queen’s music is so diverse that the only way you’ll discover the depth of their back catalogue is to listen to all the albums. You’ll be truely amazed. Love your reaction to this tender song. ❤️
Agree - must visit this song LIVE at Hyde Park. You will feel the shivers down your spine...in person his heart is just out for all to see. Miss your Queen time.
Yes Freddy said in an interview in 1977 that he did all the voices in this one and song facts and genius lyrics + say the same. The same goes for nevermore, Lilly of the valley and the beginning of Borap.
The kind of song you can't explain how it wasn't a single... It's one of my TOP 5 Queen songs, absolutely amazing harmonier, lyrics, everything is perfect here... And it proves that Queen was so much more than Bohemian Rhapsody, and their greatest hits...
True, long term fans like myself pretty much ignore the greatest hits collections and listen more to the album material. Obviously the hits are all amazing songs and worth hearing but the albums are where you really get their personalities and the depth of their talent. Every album is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and moods. Among the plethora of material you'll find a song to suit every mood and somewhere you'll find a song you feel was written just for you!
The One Year Of Love is another beautiful love song. I like The March Of The Black Queen, but Queen hasn ´t bad songs, only many surprises. I ´m happy, you are back with Queen👑❤️😍
WooHoo, a Queen reaction! Thank you Jay, it’s been too long. Your reactions to Queen are the reason I’m a part of this fantastic community. Have a great day ✌️
dazza Nomas I’d watched several people do BoRhap reactions & they were ok but when I watched Jay, I just loved it! He’s so genuine & enthusiastic about new artists. I’m so happy he checked out another Queen song, hope he does lots more ✌️
@@kerryn6714- I love the fact he is very natural and is just being himself unlike most of the reactors who think trying to act the gangster rapper is the way to go. I can sit for hours and watch Jay's reactions but with most of the others i struggle to get through just one of their video's as they are so fake and cringeworthy. It's great he keeps it real and doesn't feel the need to create a persona like most of them do. His genuine honesty is a breath of fresh air and a lot of the other reactors could learn a lot from watching his channel.
This song was never released as a single. Some of Queen's best songs were never released as singles. Here is a great live version as well th-cam.com/video/UBBne8R66xo/w-d-xo.html
Always a favourite. A real stand out from the album. My family played Queen on our one turntable in the living room and this album was always right next to it and played so often we wore it out. We never spoke when this song came on. Just listened.
Its been quite a while since your last Queen reaction! I agree, its so spectacular! Live at Hyde park is mesmerizing! You still haven't even begun to scratch the surface! The Prophet's song, March of the black queen, princes of the universe, good old-fashioned lover boy, seaside rendezvous, stone cold crazy live at the rainbow, father to son, etc.

But please, J, please could you review Queen (Official's) video of 'Who Wants to Live Forever'? It's the four Queen members, with Brian opening, and Roger (as usual) on the drums, with John Deacon on the double bass. Beautiful is :-)
This song is soooo beautiful…you said it exactly right hauntingly beautiful! Freddie sings it so effortlessly too he was just sooo good, a true legend!
Man... all these amazing songs you played last night, I fell asleep watching Lightning Crashes and missed everything else!! I've NEVER heard this before!!??? Grateful you played it.
As well as the vocals, the piano is gorgeous, and the guitar and bass in the middle section are perfect. Lets give some love to the underrated John Deacon.
Yesyesyes finaly Queen again!!! Please more Queen, that would be great. I suggest One year of love, a beautiful song written by bassist John Deacon. Also used in the movie Highlander. Much bless❤
Thanks, Jayvee -- it IS "haunting" -look forward to more... also, note: he deliberately allows you to hear his "breath" -- makes it that much more amazing...
Supposedly written for his one time girlfriend, Mary Austin. All the vocals are Freddie, he just kept overdubbing himself for a quite tremendous effect! This song always brings tears to my eyes. Amazing.
With Queen, there are no songs I don't like, even if before I heard it I didn't like that style of music. Queen delivers the best quality always and their music tattoos my soul with a perfumed ink, begging me to listen to it again and again.
I gotta listen to more songs of Queen 😭😭 But 1 song I've heard of them which is really catchy is called March of The Black Queen you should react to that one as well😊
HOW did I miss this reaction? How am I just now seeing this, Jay?! I'm doing my next Queen Deep Dive episode on my podcast, and I stumbled upon this as part of my research. LOVE this song. LOVE Freddie's writing and his performance. It's my favorite ballad of his, and easily, one of my top Queen tracks, period. So cool you listened to this, and reacted to it. Your reaction is what mine was, and still is. So affecting, this song. So utterly astonishing, Freddie's vocal performance. I was waiting to see if you cut it, before the echo of vocals fade back in, cascading over each other, before the beautiful resolution. Glad you discovered this!
Thank you, my Freddie fix. “Barcelona“ Live at “la Nit” version, as well as “The Golden Boy” live at La Nit ( has an Aretha Franklin feel. He loved her. “Innuendo” wrote and recorded when dying. Yet absolute strength in vocals. “Impromptu “ live at Rock in Rio --that version
Karolyn yes! That was what I was referencing. It’s called Impromptu, but during the song he added lyrics and said “rock in rio blues baby” Impromptu has no lyrics but he did add those lyrics during the song in that concert. Like you said, his vocals were spectacular and why I wanted Jayvee to react to that version.
Not many people reacted to "Heaven For Everyone" from Queen. It's for me Queen's answer "Imagine". The lyrics are so sad for me... the message Freddie left behind with his vocals.
All of the harmonies were Freddie alone I believe. This may have all been Freddie alone. Just piano. The beginning harmonies on Bohemian Rhapsody were also Freddie alone...not with the other members.
Love your reactions, they’re so much more interesting than other first time hearing channels. I’d love to see a reaction to howzat by sherbet, one of my favourite songs!
Named my son Maverick cuz this was my late brother's favorite movie. He even sang that song to his childhood (14-ish?) crush over the phone, she still remembers to this day. My brothers name was Eric, and Maverick was his call name back in the day when him and his friend "Goose" (Scott) would play with their CB radio.... those were the days, man. We all still talk, and my brother's crush never loved a man ever again since he passed. His best friend Scott misses him every day. As kids, my brother and I did NOT get along at all, but.... crazy how much forgiveness happens when you're sitting next to someone on their death bed holding their cold hand in their last days. He was 36, I was 32. Now that I'm creeping up on 40, I have to look at my "big brother" as "forever young." 😥 Sorry. Been 7 years, 5 months, and 11 days since he passed and I wish it didn't end with cancer. Okay, done chopping onions....
Carole Haddon my sincerest condolences. I also had my younger brother pass a few years back to cancer. Coming to terms with that kind of event isn’t easy. Best wishes friend. Edit: I still have difficulties my self. Kia Kaha👊👊
His voice is mesmerizing and makes you wish he was singing to you. You actually fall in love with Freddie before the song is finished.
This song is basically a goosebump factory.

Freddie, unique and unrepeatable. Queen, the best band in history? Probably...
Yep...they created a new kind of niche of rock.
It's Queen!!!! Freddie died but he is immortal through his music and videos with Queen!!!! And apparently he has found a new audience.......YOU!!!!
A lovely song, from queen. Freddie’s voice could cut the very air around him. This is pretty as a picture.
His voice was pure magic. Those harmonies give me goosebumps. I haven’t heard this song before and I’m adding it to my Queen playlist right now!

All the harmonies are all Freddie’s voice then multi-tracked
😄😄
thats not strictly true...
Mostly true, same as beginning of Barcelona at La Nit. Yes Roger and Brian add, but the vocals are Freddie’s distinctive voice multi tracked
