50 miles separated Damon and Elena from each other. Damon was about to die because Alaric was beating the hell out of him. Elena was about to die because Matt accidentally drove both of them off the Wickery bridge. Elena died but her death saved Damon’s life because vamp!Alaric’s life was tied to hers. Elena died but Damon saved her because it was his blood that she had in her system. Despite the distance they kept each other alive. How awesome is that?

The atmosphere from when Stefan and Elena first met, than when they both first met. They smiled do quickly, and flirted so quickly. And can we acknowledge the fact that it took Damon like 5 seconds to figure out she wasn’t Katherine, and it took Stefan months?😂 shows how much Damon loves woman, and knows the difference between them.

@@aditibisht22 well what we were trying to say is some people especially stelena shippers keep saying Delena was not supposed to be endgame, that it came out of no where (eg some say the writers only even considered giving us Delena to please the fans, that Stelena was end game) yet what they fail to understand is Delena I was endgame from the very first episode, it was just a slow burn & you could only notice these moments if you paid attention to detail, for example when Bonnie in the very first episode tells Elena that when she touched her she saw a crow even before we knew about Damon, & then we came to find out that Damon is the man who moved wth the crow & a witch (Bonnie) saw Damon in Elena's life as part of her, & even in the end when Elena is writing in her diary, we see a crow, & I don't think it was just a coincidence that they put that crow in the ending. I'm not sure I explained it to the best, but hope u got what I'm tryin to say.

I think that it's really a love story between Damon and Elena. The time spent with Stefan allowed her to unveil Damon's different layers. I feel that Stefan is more of a key character necessary to unfold the romance between Damon and Elena.
Ya know, when she asks him "So, what do you want?", he looks astonished. Almost looks like no one has ever asked him that before, and he has no idea how to respond. Anyone else see that?
to me this scene points to delena being together in the end... if you think about it, showing that they met first is completely unnecessary...BUT the writers decided to add another layer to their relationship and have them share such a special intimate moment... they consciously made delena more extraordinary

I'm glad someone else followed the series,,,I've always told my friends Delena didn't just come from no where like some people love to believe...they built this ship from the word go...I always felt like us seeing the craw with Elena before Stefan wasn't just a coincidence.

He could have said right then and there that they had met. He could have told her that he compelled her. But he didn't, he continued to let her believe that Elena had actually met Stefan first.

I was so happy when I saw this scene! You can feel the connection between them: Damon knows at the first sight what Elena is looking for in her love life. I think this season final was a Delena episode: she first met Damon (but she doesn't remember), she said she choose Stefan because he was the first.That's not what you call love. Elena will be a vampire and it's gonna be interesting to see how she'll deal with about the beautiful scene between her and Damon.
When they first met. 😍😂❤ While Damon maybe didn't initially go through with his typical nightly routine due to her resemblance to Katherine, I still think that while talking to her and learning a little bit about her as Elena herself, he was able to show a real affection for her. Enough to not want to hurt/kill her. And though the whole stalking thing with the crow, and even himself was still a bit creepy, it still was all just for intrigue (imo.) Same with Stefan. Sure again, their initial reason for doing so was because Elena looked like Katherine, but it's not like either of them were out to get her. (Meaning Elena.) This scene really got me. I had to pause the video and calm down `cause I really didn`t expect this.He didn`t know what a mistake he was doing in that moment. And she doesn`t know, nobody knows just him, so painful, I really feel for him.

I love this scene so much! it was just so unexpected in the midst of that intense finale. I think people are putting too much emphasis on the "who she met first" thing. Elena is not going to decide who to end up with based on that. what's significant to me in this scene is how well Damon reads her, and how well they click right from the get go.

Damon's voice sounds so sad when he says: 'I want you to get everything you're looking for.' He has been selfless and so human since the first time he met Elena. The only reason why he killed so many people and was really bad-ass after that scene, was because Katherine broke his heart. Damon's just a lonely man with a broken heart. Twice. I kinda hate what the producers do to him.
I was watching this episode today and I KNEW as soon as she said she probably would have loved Damon more if she’d met him first, that they would throw this twist in the story.
Right when I saw her walking down the street talking to Bonnie I knew what was going on and I started balling! I never get so emotional over shows, maybe it's because I read the first 4 books before it was a show so I already loved it. But god, they met first! It's great, Elena will remember now that she's a vampire. Delena finally has a chance! :):):) I cry everytime I watch this.
Delena fans have something stelena fans never will. And that is that the CREATOR of this story WANTS a delena ending. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to writer the ending of the books, so hopefully the show will fulfill her dream of a damon and elena endgame. So FUCK YEAH! She's on our side!

She doesn't need Stefan like she did before. She's not that same person. ALSO, let's not forget, Damon compelled her to go after what she wants, and by her kissing Damon on several occasions thus just proves Damon is something that she really "wants".
A lot of things he does for her goes unnoticed and he never asked anything from her. He never even tried to pressure her to say she loved him (Well, not after his drunken incident) when he knew, along with everyone else, that she loved him.

Elena is not going to decide who to end up with based on that. what's significant to me in this scene is how well Damon reads her, and how well they click right from the get go.

He has been selfless and so human since the first time he met Elena. The only reason why he killed so many people and was really bad-ass after that scene, was because Katherine broke his heart. Damon's just a lonely man with a broken heart. Twice. I kinda hate what the producers do to him.

I was watching this episode today and I KNEW as soon as she said she probably would have loved Damon more if she’d met him first, that they would throw this twist in the story.
Right when I saw her walking down the street talking to Bonnie I knew what was going on and I started balling! I never get so emotional over shows, maybe it's because I read the first 4 books before it was a show so I already loved it. But god, they met first! It's great, Elena will remember now that she's a vampire. Delena finally has a chance! :):):) I cry everytime I watch this.
Elena's gonna remember that confession kiss scene and her first meeting with Damon. lol this is what I always wanted.
Delena fans have something stelena fans never will.
And that is that the CREATOR of this story WANTS a delena ending. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to writer the ending of the books, so hopefully the show will fulfill her dream of a damon and elena endgame.

Damon has a heart. And he does love. The problem is that when everyone was so busy saying how Stefan cared too much, they failed to realize that Damon was the one who let his feeling control him.
very good comparison. I thought the same thing in that scene. Stefan love is pure but also blind in the sense he always makes her make the decision without questioning no matter how dangerous it is but Damon is different and well always argue or find another way, he love for her goes beyond boundaries, he will always choose her :3
She doesn't need Stefan like she did before. She's not that same person. ALSO, let's not forget, Damon compelled her to go after what she wants, and by her kissing Damon on several occasions thus just proves Damon is something that she really "wants".

A lot of things he does for her goes unnoticed and he never asked anything from her. He never even tried to pressure her to say she loved him (Well, not after his drunken incident) when he knew, along with everyone else, that she loved him.

First time i saw this I just kept screaming "THEY MET FIRST! THEY MET FIRST!" Thinking in my head about how Elena said to Damon "Maybe if you and I had met first." I can't wait for her to remember this and when he told her he loved her for the first time! I'm dying over here! Can't be just skip to the fall for season 4?
this was before season 1 so damon was practically good and met her face to face and talked to her face to face well before stefan

I love how even though this is the time when Damon was supposedly all bad and mean and obsessed with Kathrine he still has time to care and be nice to Elena and not because she looks like Kathrine but he seriously seams to be interested in HER!
