Elena still would have been a doppelganger wanted by Katherine, Klaus, the travelers. Bonnie would still be a witch, wanted by the armory, proff. Shane. Tyler could have ended up triggering his Werewolf curse somehow. At first i thought it was their fault as well but i guess mystic fall and the families their, all had secrets and it was probably their fate.
Ikr, it's not even just about that. Bonnie's character got constantly shitted on. It was so painfully obvious, that I was debating on whether I should continue watching the show or go to The Originals and go back to watching TVD after. She's the only reason I kept watching the show (Considering Niklaus and Malachai weren't mains).
I hate them for depriving Steroline of a happy ending, but I am grateful to them for not following the lead of most fans, and not making Klaroline a couple in Originals. I like their scenes, but to make a couple of Klaroline when it was shown that Steroline is immortal love would be wrong

Well I don't like that Stefan died but he was a no good character from the very start he became a vampire. He was a ripper and Elena was nothing special to him than the other girls he dated. The first season made us believe that Stefan was an exception of vampires and Damon was the worst but it's the opposite. Damon loved the very few people of his life so much and couldn't give up on them be it Katherine or Elena.

Vampire diaries always made great background calibration music choices for each emotional scene, They always found music that complimented the scenes where you could hear the emotion they were trying to convey.
Things don't always turn out the way one wants but eventually one always sees loved ones again.For me heaven and hell was like the sky is tonight ever changing and moving,another step in a journey, hopefully the next is enjoyable,rest easy dad where ever you are ,and little brother be safe,and sisters....god bless

Nina did the reunion with Damon very well, but oh god it was awkward seeing Damon as Ian literally. That face he makes when she sees Elena which is supposed to be the love of his life. 😆
Well Damon just lost his brother and it kind of makes sense that the first look of the love of his life doesn’t completely fill the depressing hole that he has from Stefan’s death. But ALSO, maybe the chemistry wasn’t fully there because Nikki Reed was on the set 👀😬

Nina and Ian broke up and they had to act like a couple in this series but Ian was dating Nikki Reed whom was watching them film this. Scene so it was awkward kissing his ex with his current right there hence why if you look close enough at them kissing he's actually kissing her chin not her lips id feel awkward too

This is one of the shows that never grow old for me I mean it's been years since I watched it but still any time I land on a video clip with the title " vampire diaries" I stop just to watch it again 🤣🤣🤣🤣 right now I can't even count how many times I have repeated watching this show
I think it was done that way so as not to be even more obvious about the lack of harmony and chemistry between Damon and Elena. If Caroline hugged her first the viewers could think that the romantic couple was Caroline and Elena instead of Elena and Damon.
Thr second i saw that ring, i felt pain. Almost feels too real to accept he died for the sake of everyone. Im glad i watched this show at least once in my lifetime and possibly will watch once again
This show honesty changed my life. So many characters taught me many things about living. Such as Damon showed me.. “Change is possible” I never thought I would find a show as perfect as this❤️
@@jolantav.7298 - Of course they both had their flaws, in the end they both grew to be better people than the beginning (I'm definitely more of a Stefan fan but Damon was good too). I also don't think Damon was completely miserable after Stefan. Of course for a while after his death he might have been, it was his little brother, but just like Elena moved on from her parents, Damon probably moved on from Stefan's death. Besides, Damon had a nice long human life with the love of his life thanks to Stef (Altough it definitely would have been better with Stefan there). Anyway, in the end both brothers did get their happy ending and found peace together.

Just ended up watching the final episode. God what a series. The characters, soundtracks, story and above all the memories. It was all so good and epic. Needed Stefan to live life the fullest and Damon and Elena wedding. All the characters were heart touching. I hate it when some web series comes to an end. The Vampire Diaries will always be my heart warming show. I just wish someone could compel me to erase my memories so that I could relive this series again. I love it with all my heart❤

I think Bonnie has an unfair ending. She sacrificed so much for everybody else on the show, she even almost lost her life. She just kept coming back. She also lost Enzo. And her dad. She’s the real hero of the show

I felt so bad for Stefan. He went through so much in the show. Considering that he had always been my favourite character in tvd I expected him to have a better ending. I wanted him to be happy. Out of all those characters, I wanted Stefan Salvatore to be most happy but again things got worse for him. He did not deserve death. But the finale showed that he loves his brother so much. He sacrificed himself just so that damon can spend his life with elena. He is the most selfless character. I love him sm. STEFAN SALVATORE my one and only love
Caroline said that she forgave Damon for all the crappy things he'd done to her and her friends over the years because Damon was the only one who truly understood how much it hurt when she lost her Mother.
Someone pointed out in the very first episode in season 1 of TVD, Stefan said "this is my story" and then the show began....so maybe he was going to die from the beginning and the whole tv series was about his life. So if you think about it, it all makes sense. :)
Why do people think that death is such a horrible thing? Stefan died a hero, was reunited with his best friend, and eventually his brother. He had the happiest ending out of all of them.
You guys have to understand, he just lost his brother. He got the girl he loved back but he still lost his brother...of course the reunion is bittersweet..Elena also loved Stefan they both did and right now their reuniting knowing they've lost someone they love so much, who sacrificed himself for them.. I think the passion doesn't feel right because their smiling and then saddening..you can see the changes of emotions on their faces. The final final part I wish had had laughter with them as a happy family but it is what it is..

I don't get y'all. Even at this kiss scene, who is the camera showing? They barely showed Ian's face, and when he did it was not a romantic scene between them. They didn't get good scenes and didn't even talk. Ian was doing great acting while they had just broken up. So why would he right now suddenly be weird around her?
I will never forgive them for this ending. Stefan deserved better, Bonnie deserved better, Caroline finally stopped being so boy crazy and found love... she deserved better. This could have ended so much nicer. Still don't get why he couldn't just stab her and then get out of the way by Damon, would have made sense!!!
The reason he didn’t just stab her, was because he was already dying from getting the cure for vampirism removed from him. Damon wanted to be the one to sacrifice himself, so Stefan took the cure out of him, and put it into damn and took him outside. He didn’t want Damon to die, and Elena was mortal so Damon was goin to turn mortal at some point to be with her as well. Stefan just moved it up. Hope this helps

@@Anakarion666 once a vampire takes the cure they become mortal. once the cure is removed from them they age to their true age. so when it was remove from Katherine and Stephen they age 500 and 200 year as Elena was a vampire for about 2 years it only aged here for those 2 years so that's why she didn't die.
Nooo. When Elena and Damon saw each other after such a long time was my favourite scene from this episode! I even loved how Elena wrote in her diary for the last time about love, pain, death and moving on.

blxckrippedjeans stelena had the most epic scenes in this finale. The emotion they had just shone through this episode and it brought back so many memories-that to me is endgame.
"My name is Stefan Salvatore and this is my story" everyone seems to have forgotten this from the very first episode! So yes he had to die! This was Stefan's story people! Not Damon's not Elena's and certainly not anyone else's! He finally found the redemption he had badly wanted for over a 150 years!
No big Elena scene in the ending. She just simply came back for one episode, just to end the show. I feel like when she and Ian broke up it was just difficult to stay in a show where you see your ex often.

Well they were together before the last season. Ian was with Nikki after that and damon and Elena’s whole relationship was kind of offsetting to the both of them but they still did it.

To be honest, that was a poor ending for everyone. Bonnie dont get her Enzo back(8 years she sacrificed everything even herself - 3 Times for everyone) Stefan dies, Caroline looses her one true love. Delena didn't say a word to each other after being 2 years apart(5 to be accurate-Damon was unconscious 3 years-season 7) At least Elena reunited with her family and Damon with his brother at the end. I was waiting much more but still, it is better than nothing.

Everything felt super awkward between Damon and Elena. I get that in real life, they don't talk anymore etc., but Ian should at least make the scenes between him and Nina look more passionate and real. He doesn't even seem that happy to see her in the finale.

Stefan ending was beautiful him reunited with lexi was cool but he didn't deserve to die. Stefan has sacrificed so much for Damon since Day 1. 1. He handed himself over to Klaus to get the cure for the werewolf bite for Damon forcing him to become The Ripper 2. He let Elena go to be with Damon and ended up drowning for months 3. Getting trapped in the Phinoex Stone to save Damon 4. He sacrificed his happiness with Caroline and got marked by Rayna for Damon - forcing him on the run for three years! 4. He gave himself over to Cade to protect Lizzie and Josie, but also for Damon, forcing him to be a Ripper again. 5. He became human and died for Damon's happiness, sacrificing his own with his WIFE and they'd been married less than 24 hours. Feel free to mention anything I have left out. But I really think Stefan deserved so much better and I guess the only positive was he was at peace with all the guilt and pain he has endured. I just think for him to die was wrong but that's just my opinion.

(you can see it on interviews). in 2016 there was an interview of the cast of tvd and the interviewer asked if anybody from the cast will come back for the final ( he clearly meant nina ) and ian clearly was « fighting » with julie plec ( tvd’s producer) about that, i mean if you are married why this is would be a problem if you are professional?? well, everybody have their own theory about the nian drama, mine is that ian didn’t move on and still have feelings for her and can’t admit it to himself, he only married nikki because he was 40 and wanted to have a family. and nina always was professional about that, she was the only who handled it with maturity (during interviews...).

@@jolantav.7298 - Of course they both had their flaws, in the end they both grew to be better people than the beginning (I'm definitely more of a Stefan fan but Damon was good too). I also don't think Damon was completely miserable after Stefan. Of course for a while after his death he might have been, it was his little brother, but just like Elena moved on from her parents, Damon probably moved on from Stefan's death. Besides, Damon had a nice long human life with the love of his life thanks to Stef (Altough it definitely would have been better with Stefan there). Anyway, in the end both brothers did get their happy ending and found peace together.

Just ended up watching the final episode. God what a series. The characters, soundtracks, story and above all the memories. It was all so good and epic. Needed Stefan to live life the fullest and Damon and Elena wedding. All the characters were heart touching. I hate it when some web series comes to an end. The Vampire Diaries will always be my heart warming show.

I think the passion doesn't feel right because their smiling and then saddening..you can see the changes of emotions on their faces. The final final part I wish had had laughter with them as a happy family but it is what it is..

The reason he didn’t just stab her, was because he was already dying from getting the cure for vampirism removed from him. Damon wanted to be the one to sacrifice himself, so Stefan took the cure out of him, and put it into damn and took him outside. He didn’t want Damon to die, and Elena was mortal so Damon was goin to turn mortal at some point to be with her as well. Stefan just moved it up. Hope this helps

To be honest, that was a poor ending for everyone. Bonnie dont get her Enzo back(8 years she sacrificed everything even herself - 3 Times for everyone) Stefan dies, Caroline looses her one true love. Delena didn't say a word to each other after being 2 years apart(5 to be accurate-Damon was unconscious 3 years-season 7) At least Elena reunited with her family and Damon with his brother at the end. I was waiting much more but still, it is better than nothing.

3. Getting trapped in the Phinoex Stone to save Damon
4. He sacrificed his happiness with Caroline and got marked by Rayna for Damon - forcing him on the run for three years!
4. He gave himself over to Cade to protect Lizzie and Josie, but also for Damon, forcing him to be a Ripper again.
5. He became human and died for Damon's happiness, sacrificing his own with his WIFE and they'd been married less than 24 hours.
Feel free to mention anything I have left out. But I really think Stefan deserved so much better and I guess the only positive was he was at peace with all the guilt and pain he has endured. I just think for him to die was wrong but that's just my opinion.

bloveu 01 ian and nina dated for more than 3 years ( 2010-2013) then they broke up because ian wanted to marry and start a family with her but nina wasn’t ready (it’s the « official » reason) they remind good friends after that until nina left tvd after season 6 and ian started to date nikki reed. after 2015 ian started to act disrespectfully towards nina or anything related to elena, delena.. (you can see it on interviews). in 2016 there was an interview of the cast of tvd and the interviewer asked if anybody from the cast will come back for the final ( he clearly meant nina ) and ian clearly was « fighting » with julie plec ( tvd’s producer) about that, i mean if you are married why this is would be a problem if you are professional?? well, everybody have their own theory about the nian drama, mine is that ian didn’t move on and still have feelings for her and can’t admit it to himself, he only married nikki because he was 40 and wanted to have a family. and nina always was professional about that, she was the only who handled it with maturity (during interviews...).

Julie Plec & Caroline Dries obsession with #Delena destroyed this show and S4 is a perfect example. Julie & Caroline should have used common sense and kept Elena human and made Alaric the primary villain. That alone would have made the show irresistible. There's nothing scarier than a suicidal and psychotic Original who is hellbent on wiping out the entire vampire race and taking the main protagonist down with him. For those two hypocrites to kill off one of their best villains just so they could satisfy their obsession with Damon & Elena was f**king stupid.

Maddy 36884 No... I disagree. Nina's comeback at the finale episode was necessary but it was disappointing. After two years apart I was waiting for a better delena end. I mean c'mon! They didn't speak to each other!! I don't care if they ended up together, they made a family etc. I haven't seen any of that yesterday. I was waiting more.

If you look closely at 03:11 Damon and Elena aren't even kissing on the lips. Damon is kissing her chin and Elena is kissing above his upper lip...this finale was so half ass and so were the awkward, forced Delena scenes (even though there were barely any)
