- Have you ever wondered how actors can memorize a movie-length script? In the first half of this two-part episode, I reveal the “Hollywood Secrets” to memorizing anything word-for-word.
Thank you Jim. I too had a broken brain. I was in special classes all my life. I finished collage and I struggled. I wish I had your brain hacks. I am using the one that uses the body, from head to toe, to help me remember lists. I also attach silly visuals to everything, the sillier the better. I now put an emotion on everything I want to remember. Thank you for helping the world Jim.
"I too had a broken brain" A great conversation starter. I'll use that sometime later

Hi Jim
Could you please advise how to convert your 12 R’s to text for note-taking?
I wish it add these to a mind map as TEXT
I am very poor at typing.
Is there a way of copying the list as TEXT please?
Your broadcasts contain Great suggestions - thanks

For rehearsal, you can also record yourself reading the other person's lines in a voice recorder app, play it back and recite your lines with it.

YOU SOLD ME. I'm in. This title got me.
Have you tried to cheat in a test and writing down info in a tiny scale and later remembering everything? Well, may be is the fact of tiny handwritting helps focus. May be combined with motivation, adrenaline, something.
I'm memorizing Bible chapters.
I’m memorising an Italian speech
Same here!
6 memory tips which actors use to memorize the lines verbatim
1.R- Read with finger( helps your focus and concentration, certain senses work together so sight works with kinesthetic)
2.R- Reflecting ( Understanding, what does it mean, whats my outcome and whats my motivation, active experiencing)
3.R- Rite ( Take notes is equivalent to kinesthetic learning, research suggests just by writing things down what you have to remember you remember things 40% or more)
4.R-Repetition ( Repetition after separate time, 1 hr 1 day, 1 week 1 month)
5.R- Read it to a partner
6.R- Resources (Rehearsal app)

I'm just writing 12 Rs down, whilst learning, the first video you have only 5Rs! And the second video starts on the 7th R!. Is this deliberate to test are learning capabilities or is it a mistake? I believe it is to test our capabilities. I may be wrong, either way we all make mistakes it is part of learning 😂 Thank you Jim Kwik
I got 6 Rs in this video:
Read -
Read with your finger (using a visual pacer will increase your reading speed 25-50%)
Reflecting -
- Meaning, what's my outcome, what's my motivation.
- Actors call it active experiencing (walk
- HQ (Head to your heart, to your hand)
Rite -
- Take notes
- Not type write (by writing information down you'll remember it 40% or more)
Repetition -
- Spaced repetition
- 1 hour later, 1 day later, 1 week later, 1 month later
Run the lines with someone -
- Relating (talking with someone)
- Gets you in the moment
