    As a martial artist who has studied other styles, I find that there is beauty in Kung Fu, it is the pure element of the Shaolin style which gives it meaning, grace and beauty. When, I first met my Shifu, I asked to learn traditional Shaolin style Kung Fu, because I found that there were elements that were lacking in those styles, which can only be found in Kung Fu.-great video Shifu Lei..

    I think we all stand humbled, by both your honesty and simplicity in the ways you address so many things which we struggle with each day. To 'simply do', as I have found, truly is the real test of courage, faith and devotion to a cause. I'm sure im not alone when I wish you the same good health, that you wish for all of us Shifu. Thank you for showing us the way. Stay safe out there.

    I am not a dreamer. I know how much work I need to do to be who I am today. I love myself, so I want something and I just work on it. Is that what I wish to all humans beings, to find a peace in them selfs. Thank you Master for your kindness and peaceful talking. ❤️

    God bless for your advice to the public, Shifu Yan Lei. You have really helped me change my life and ways to the path of health and paying more attention to being simple and spiritual with pleasant encouragement, and discipline care from your videos and dvd's. With Qigong it really helps everything. Thank God for you and the Shaolin monks of The China Monastery for helping people around the world. I am truly grateful for your honorable teachings of self discipline and spiritual advice of how to deal with life, and staying healthy. I look forward to meet you someday. Thank you shifu, and god bless.

    I agree. UFC and real fighting are two different things. A great martial artist will not automatically become a great fighter in the UFC. To be a great UFC fighter, you have to train really hard under those rules. Ground and pound, BJJ, and wrestling is pretty much all you can use under those rules once the fight goes to the ground.

    Do you study Shaolin Changquan or Shaolin Bie He? Doing fundamentals of both and white crane qigong for 8年 now. Health through breathing, raising p.h. in 血 and health in general is the key.

    Shifu, what are your thoughts on Chinese wrestling and joint locking arts? At Shaolin Temple, is there much practice of any form or wrestling or ground fighting?

    • @renehenriksen1735
      @renehenriksen1735 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dragonboy >>> Well whether Shaolin once adopted it or invented it themselves long ago, I don´t see why there´s reason to critizise then. By the way isn´t that the way Shaolin has evolved and developed? By observing ideas everywhere. In nature, in the universe, in societies, in technologies and everywhere where ideas live?

    Hey man nothing against you personally. I'm sure you're a great athlete and know some "kung fu". But. Lets just be honest. We are WAY past the rubicon where someone needs to learn from any guy or girl in China / from China or anyone with Chinese ancestry. Thats ancient history at this point. It's like saying you need to learn how to play guitar from a Gypsy or you need to be American to build lightbulbs. Sorry. Thank the CCP. In fact, if we are comparing who is authentic and who isn't. One would need spend a LONG time in proving why anyone Chinese is necessary to teach anything that is coming from Pre-Communist Chinese culture. Cuz that was all obliterated by the CCP intentionally and with malice. The cultural revolution left the Shaolin Temple in ruins and nothing standing. And those destroying the temple were Red Guards, (not Russians like shown in the CCP approved movie "Shaolin" starring Jackie Chan). CCP destroyed that temple. It's gone. What stands today is a tourist hub with Kung Fu Fans and kids. And i'm sure a lot of great people go there and learn great stuff. But all the Shaolin masters LEFT China almost a century ago. What remains in China today is not authentic unbroken tradition of Kung fu at Shaolin Temple. So if that matters and we''re talking about "authenticity". Kung fu (now called Wushu) Is a reconstructed ballet like exhibition / performance that fulfills the requirements of a totalitarian state that is very afraid of it's people. Not Shaolin Kung fu. And yes it was called Kung fu. 功夫. Please prove me wrong. I only write this because I respect the Chinese wushu athletes. This isn't from disrespect. But when someone puts up a page and calls out about authenticity. You need to prove it. Show some shred of evidence. The Wushu Is nice stuff and they have a lot of dynamic moves. But again one could actually say in fact if you want the real thing, you would have to painstakingly track down someone who is preserving what a Shaolin Disciple gave to them 20th century or so. I know of ONE such person only and they're not interested in cashing in on the You Tube. I post this comment here on this video, but it should be posted on about half a million of them. If the public wants to be stupid about Kung fu like it is about everything, and bow down to the "Master" they can knock themselves out. But yea... good luck.
