This may be surprising, but some officers fail to respond to emergency calls and make-up stops as a cover. My cousin wanted to get a ultra light aircraft so he didn't need a license but I told him it's probably a good idea to get one not like you get a second chance with planes

If people ruin paramotoring for everyone who does train, be smart and safe then I'm willing to bet they would force a license. luckily so far it hasn't been an issue I would love to get into paramotoring it looks so amazing.

I get that same anxiety about ticking off Karens, like the last thing you need is heat from the police or community. I landed on the lake across from my house over the winter and was worried someone might be upset about me flying over as I landed. It was the complete opposite. My neighbors saw the picture on Facebook, and several reached out to tell me they and their kids loved seeing me buzzing the lake. The local newspaper reached out and wrote an article about it. People are generally fascinated by flight and have a million questions every time. Cool video, dude! I'd love to hear more about your opinions on landing in public places!

Love that the cops FROM THE BEGINNING weren't even looking to get you on anything illegal, they showed up just purely out of concern for your safety. That's all. Once they saw you were okay, went straight to geekin' out with the boys.
I love the fact that even the person who called the police wasn't doing it to be an angry Karen, they were genuinely concerned for you and feared for your safety, thinking you had crashed. That's kinda sweet and nice to know even random strangers are out there watching your back and would get you help as quickly as possible if the worst were to ever happen. And yeah, those cops were _super_ chill about the whole thing, were more interested in geeking out over the paramotor than anything which is _so_ nice to see! :)

It's really easy to see flying as something great with no downsides. It's so much harder to show the risk management that's constantly going on, even before you take off. I'd love to more on this topic.
It is such a cool thing to see positive interaction from police officers. They thought they were responding to an air crash, then they quickly changed gears to just idoling over the gear and everything. "awesome" is definitely a word I would use too :)

What a positive vid re paramotoring generally but also the interaction with the cops. My son is a Police officer in the UK and quite often get a bad rap, sometimes deservedly so dependant on the officer. However there are a lot of good ones out there, just looking out for us, so massive respect to those guys :)

Would you ever think about flying over a school or childcare center or doing a demonstration for kids? I've been curious about that ever since I saw the video where you flew across NJ, because you would've ended up going right over the childcare center I worked at, if you just would've been two or three miles to the East and I thought about how cool that would've been if the kids were out on the playground during it. But I know there's no way you could've done it because you would've been right in the middle of a busy commercial flight path. If you did fly over a preschool playground I think the kids would be talking about it for years!
I flew out of that field with Nuno Rodriquez this passed fall. its near the prison, the prison sent a car to check on us before we took off. we also saw a bunch of deer in the fields.

I get the systemic reasons behind the ACAB movement, but it's officers like these that show that in fact, not all cops are bad, and that most got into it for the right reasons, and take 'serve' as their main duty. This video demonstrates my #1 reason for not getting into paramotoring. Tucker is a nice guy who doesn't mind the constant attention from strangers, but I would hate it. I want to be able to take off, do my flight, and just have no one bother me ever.
You can definitely do that... Tucker flies from public places because that's his job, to make content and entertain his viewers. There are many many places to fly out in the open away from the public entirely.
You're a Karen. As all the other comments stated, you do NOT have to go to a public place to take off or land. He seeks the attention. You don't have to.

Started watching you a couple of years ago and every couple of weeks a video of you pops into my feed and I'm happy that you're still out there enjoying your life and having fun. :D
I could never do that, but it does look like great fun for those with good constitutions. What was really great was seeing the wonderful interaction with the police. I don't know any police officers personally, but have always had good relations with them when I we do intersect. The vast majority are regular folks doing a highly dangerous job and they deserve our respect.
Speaking from my personal experience, every cop interaction I’ve ever had has been a good one. Typically just people doing their job, and like with any other human interaction, if you keep it polite and respectful, there will not be an issue. (Even when I have been outside the law) Another great video Tucker.

I've watched Tucker since he first started putting videos on TH-cam. In my opinion he's one of the best, if not the best para motor pilot in the sport. I'm seventy two and he still inspires me to seriously consider taking up the sport. Of course I could never be his caliber of pilot, but just getting safely up and down would be an awesome adventure and would fulfill one of my life's dreams to be a pilot.

Those cops were really nice guys. They were genuinely concerned that Tucker was lying injured somewhere. I was wondering if they could actually wear the paramotor with all the kit they have to carry. Those gents would probably get a real buzz out of flying.

I've watched Tucker since he first started putting videos on TH-cam. In my opinion he's one of the best, if not the best para motor pilot in the sport. I'm seventy two and he still inspires me to seriously consider taking up the sport. Of course I could never be his caliber of pilot, but just getting safely up and down would be an awesome adventure and would fulfill one of my life's dreams to be a pilot.
Eventually they'll have to license this... Get in and enjoy it while you can boys.
