LIV y’all need to really show and market these characters you guys got. Really show who they are behind the scenes because the PGA tour in my opinion does a terrible job of marketing their golfers.
the reason the PGA tour does a piss poor job at marketing their players is because they don't have to. Now that LIV is a thing, it should change that in the years to come. This really will be a win for all pro golfers, even the ones who don't play on the LIV tour and stick with the PGA tour.

I'll still watch the John Deere on Sunday because I always watch golf on Sundays but discounting the LIV field this week is crazy.

Of course everyone's happy that they don't have to worry about winning and playing well because they are going to get paid regardless of the result. This is great for golf and competition. You don't have to worry about going and shooting low and the competitive excitement you get on the PGA and DP tour. Also this guy Perez is the prime example of someone with no integrity or principles. Was speaking about how great PGA tour and his allegiance to the tour and how he is not going to join LIV and 10 million change his tune. That's what LIV golf stands for.
Pga is going to have to accept that every golfer will eventually play for liv. Hopefully there can system where they both thrive. Sadly, the pga tour events can’t compete with the purses.

Bit of a theme for the players joining. All at the back end of their careers; family. Opportunity to earn as much playing a dozen tournaments as 15 years on the tour. Who can blame them. Format is interesting and certainly more accessible than PGA tour in terms of media etc. I can see it attracting a younger generation and huge betting and merchandising opportunities.

A move to LIV would allow Cameron Smith to move back to Australia full-time, if that's what he wants to do. Viktor Hovland seems to like living in Oklahoma, so not sure if he would want to make such a move yet either, even though he is from Norway. Outside the top 10, Hideki Matsuyama and Shane Lowry would be big signings for LIV Golf, which would also allow both guys to move their families back to Japan and Ireland respectively.

Honestly the more the PGA pushes this as a moral issue instead of coming clean about being worried their monopoly and financial dealings are being threatened the more I want to watch. These corporations don’t give a damn if it doesn’t threaten their business… for example NBA is in bed with the Chinese despite having the worst human rights it’s all business and the saudi backed league is a a direct threat to the PGA which they clearly know.

LIV gets zero points for a 54 hole shot gun start with 8 events, so they will not be on the PGA tour, plus they are suspended anyways. New qualifiers will come up and take their spots, so good luck seeing Pat Perez on the tour. Also, exemptions in the majors will run out except for the Masters that has a lifetime exemption for winners. PGA Tour is self governing so, good luck in the courts.

18 tees allow for 54 players. I would imagine they will slowly revert to a 2 tee start to accommodate extra players. Money will turn a lot of heads in the long run. I do like the shotgun and everyone on the golf course. Nobody sits on a clubhouse lead for an hour waiting for the end result.

All the players moving to LIV for the money...fine... but the first tournament wasn't very good.. if all the tournaments are like this, very few people will watch. A third of the field was +10 or more!

Over the first two rounds, the best two stroke play scores will count for each team. For the third and final round, the best three scores will count, with the lowest overall team score after 54 holes being named the team winner.

Another tour player goes over to LIV. PGA tour is in big trouble. This winter I bet a lot of PGA tour pros sign with LIV. Less tournaments, more time with your family, all that and a ton more money. It's a no brainer.
Pat is 46 years old and he has to play a lot of tournaments to make money on the PGA. This is a good deal for him. It is practically a windfall. He will be home more and playing less and he is banking big money. I think Pat is a genuine really cool guy that adds a lot of color to a boring game. But the PGA will not miss him at all. It is all about the young guns these days. Actually with a few exceptions that LIV Golf is looking like a second level tour with a few almost senior players mixed in. Anyway with the price per barrel they can afford anything I guess.

I was in Columbus 2 weeks ago for a wedding and ran into Pat at a bar called Pastimes. He seemed to be great with all of the fans that went up to him.

18 tees allow for 54 players. I would imagine they will slowly revert to a 2 tee start to accommodate extra players. Money will turn a lot of heads in the long run.
I do like the shotgun and everyone on the golf course. Nobody sits on a clubhouse lead for an hour waiting for the end result.

The team event is where the scoring gets even more exciting. Over the first two rounds, the best two stroke play scores will count for each team. For the third and final round, the best three scores will count, with the lowest overall team score after 54 holes being named the team winner.

@@mark21034 so then a good portion of the PGA Tour are also hacks. The entire Korn Ferry Tour is a bunch of hacks. Most of the DP World Tour are hacks. Asian Tour are hacks. PGA Tour Canada are hacks. I could go on with the list of Pros who would cut off a hand to be in the shoes of Pat Perez before he joined LIV but it'd take a long time to get through them all. Calling a guy like Pat Perez a hack is just dumb. He's made the cut in 2/3's of the events he's played this season. If Pat Perez is a hack, what do you call most of the field at the John Deere?

Another tour player goes over to LIV. PGA tour is in big trouble. This winter I bet a lot of PGA tour pros sign with LIV. Less tournaments, more time with your family, all that and a ton more money. It's a no brainer.

Love Pat. He changed his mind pretty quick since his interview wih the caddie and mini tour player show.
Pat is 46 years old and he has to play a lot of tournaments to make money on the PGA. This is a good deal for him. It is practically a windfall. He will be home more and playing less and he is banking big money. I think Pat is a genuine really cool guy that adds a lot of color to a boring game. But the PGA will not miss him at all. It is all about the young guns these days. Actually with a few exceptions that LIV Golf is looking like a second level tour with a few almost senior players mixed in. Anyway with the price per barrel they can afford anything I guess.
