Just bought one from Amazon. Thank you for the video. These videos help us drummers out who are wondering about a certain product but unsure. I do remember back when the D112 was one of the go to's but not anymore. I played at this festival where they had this huge stage set up and provided a sound co and I noticed the mic in the kick was a shure 91 a that was the first using it then a club here local has a house drum kit with killer subs and the shure as well is what he uses. So while checking out vids on the shure 91 a I came across you video and guess what...I got one ordered. I have a D6 now but will use the new 19A in the kick at next shows. Thanks again for taking time and making a video.
Behringer is killin it also with their WING mixers. Who’d thought the brand would be synonymous with high quality products. We chose them over a ALLEN&HEATH for our new church installation. Strange times…
I have a BA 19A and have compared it to my Beta 52 and my E602. To ensure you get the very best from the BA19A you MUST first tune the bass drum correctly - the BA19A has a fairly flat EQ so if your bass drum has no damping or it's tuned too high, the mic will pick up all those mid to high frequencies. Be sure to select the "scooped" frequency select on the bottom of the mic - this will certainly help emphasise the lower end achieving a nicer, rounder sound. The BA19A captures ALL of the bass drum - batter head - shell and resonant head MUCH better than my usual Beta 52 or E602. This mic is my go to mic for live performance and at £66 from Amazon you will not be returning it... Trust me
The Behringer 19A is a no brainer. I've had mine for 2 years and it's the best $80 I've ever spent on a piece of drum related gear. Just be aware that it's a condenser mic, so it needs phantom power. But other than that, I just lay it on the pillow in my bass drum and forget about it.

Nice. At that price, definitely worth snatching one up and trying it out. Great drum recording too.

Awesome video 😎 🎙️
Una baina fui fuiu!!!
What is the width of this thing ? The porthole on an Aquarian reso head is only about 4.25" in diameter.
It’ll fit. I have 4” ports in both of my kicks, and it fits through both just fine. 👌
Is it noisy on softer sources?
Not at all.
