That hat either cost $2 or $568
He Made It Himself
Ahhh, geologist. My favorite rap artist.
I still can't get over how incredibly soft spoken they all are.
Avey killing the hat game yet again
Avey's always killing the hat game lol
lmao
what hat game?
Mark Humphrey
THE hat game
Panda is threatened. He has his hat on his knee and to afraid to put it on?
2:06 Noah - "guys can yall just stop being contrarians and give a fucking straight answer lol"
I feel like I've done the exact same thing as Noah before hahaha
“We had been talking a lot about dinosaurs…” exactly how id imagine they’d be
panda bear is cute
People mostly complain about the interviewer unless they do well... in which case they don't say anything. So I'll say it, damn good interview sir.
I think we're all just waiting around for the interview they go through their workflows in depth.

- Avey Tare
“Anywhere in the UK - we’ve always had trouble there”. Lennox’s music is too positive and sincere for UK taste.
From my experience the UK fans are a bunch of nerds who are allergic to dancing.
@@secretcompartment it’s because we are a miserable people. Miserable.
@@MrMattaiusify At least you have Brexit now :)
@@blob2092 we are now more miserable
@@heckicusdoomicuswizardus1382 Oh im sorry to hear it :(
3:15 geologist looks at avey for some help on an answer and aveys response was to shrug and go “i don’t fuckin know, that’s on you.”
Oh I wanna meet them so badly!
I'm flattered to own the same Vans as Noah.
Lol when Chicago is mentioned Dave starts to do the "ooo" from If You Leave Me Now. Friggin Chicago
Panda Bear rockin the RATKING hoodie
I JUST NOTICED
Wish I swooped one when I saw them open for AC back in 2016!
Panda always looks so pissed off during interviews
He's tired and needs a rest maybe.
Ballet Roses He also always looks tired though too
That's just his look. I met him the other night and that's how he looked when I approached him so I was kind of worried he wasn't in the mood to talk, but he was extremely friendly
To me he looks like a small child in a mans body.
Nah he just looks anxious. He's looks like he's in a perpetual state of discomfort when in public.
geologist lookin like 2008 ethan kath with that beard
XD XD XD
LMAO NOOOO😭😭😭
noah’s “hey” though
lol I want to hear that Neil Young / Geo collaboration
Avery looks rlly healthy in this
I have seen this mistake made a lot so I'm not trying to be a jerk but, it's actually Avey. Real name is Dave Portner, and his artist name is Avey Tare. Like taking Davey and Taring his name apart.
@@SKY_DWELLER333 1) it’s been over two years he prolly doesn’t care anymore & 2) a lot of times I get an autocorrect to Avery when I try to spell Avey
i wanna have that interviewer just sitting on my living room, just sitting
you'll have to feed him occasionally
Geologist always wears iconic shirts.
I love a good Avey Tare interview
Avey's little squeak after "Chicago's going in this year!"
...
"Chicago?"
psychedelic pop is the best way to put it.
Jacob Foster sung tongs is folk, feels is indie rock
Anthony Cheek which are informed by psychedelics. and they also use pop influences. I recall they mentioned that's something they tried to do.
and painting with is more like an alt dance album than a experimental pop album
Some of their records are psychedelic pop, not all though. Neo-psychedelia is probably more encompassing.
Pre-Sung tongs is definitely more experimental than psychedelic.
Awesome interview.
does every interviewer have to ask "how do you know what will be an animal collective song or a solo song"...theyve been asked a million times . good interview tho
Animal Collective X Neil Young.
all their best shows are in France for some reason...
2016 was six years ago???
*alright. i figured it out.*
*so in my life i have had a phenomenon. since i was born. i'm 45 now. old lady. anyway, from literally the moment i was born and periodically throughout my life i have endured a spiritual phenomenon called "my three wise men". so basically, at crucial or important times in my life three men appear.*
*and this has happened numerous times throughout my life. so much so that i am very familiar with them because they have the same exact disposition every time. check it out: one of them is very happy to see me, one of them is very upset and stern and stoic and serious, and one of them speaks to me.*
*while looking at the man in the middle, and he's most concerning to me, i keep gazing over at the one wearing the hat. i saw it, i said aha! these are another manifestation of my three wise men. so the one in the hat is very familiar looking to me. like as if i know him from some place in time. i don't think i've ever seen him before in any regard (videos, pictures, nothing like that). it's a SPIRITUAL thing.*
*so my three wise men are always a group of men, never the same people, who simply represent something. when i was born, there were three male doctors in the delivery room and as it was told to me, true to form one of them was overjoyed (so funny). i was born on a holy day, by the way. 4th joyful mystery of the holy rosary. and, ah, did i read correctly that one of these men went to college in boston because he was interested in the concept of god?*
*i was born in boston. by the mystic river, near the power plant. you know what that makes me, right? a powerful mystic (har har har).*
*so, should these men happen upon my comments the only thing i have to say to you guys is... well, a couple of things. three things. 1) safer is a very, very important song in my jukebox mind and in my heart. 2) pumpkin gets a snake bite is HILARIOUS 3) don't believe the pilot is HILARIOUS.*
*you're an interesting band. i like your stuff.*
*oh, one more thing: angels, some of them, are musicians (and musicians, some of them, are angels). look it up.*
this comment had me absolutely dumbfounded
@@alsitair *i'm dumbfounded that someone replied. i'm typically ignored to death, treated like i don't exist or harassed and attacked. could be an american problem LOL.*
@@OrchestralOrg how are you doing this fine evening
@@OrchestralOrg you have 888 video views
@@alsitair *what's your point?*
Al Jardine, lol...
interviewer is really cute!!
Ah good country, love that one. Definitely a band with sounds that grow on you, certainly an artistic outlet that is well worth having to bail us out when things get bent out of shape.
A lot like Radiohead, just great artists dedicated to creating different sounds. Priceless in a world where everything mainstream is basically broken.
12:51
lol
The interviewer kind of sounds like Robert Downey Jr.
Does anyone else get the impression that they don't really agree with each other's answers?
+Tayler Thompson no
yes, totally getting that vibe from their looks cx
Go watch their other interviews, they always seem to give off that vibe. I've heard their musical ideas are all different and don't really hang around with each other but who knows.
SOURCE ME ON THAT YOU FUCK
I don't think anyone who is an artist agrees with most things other artists say. How else would you get from impressionism to modernism to postmodernism and now new sincerity?
SETH SPEAKS
this cracked me up
@@rashams1605 I don't even know what my comment was referring to anymore, haha
Suck Jockeez that makes it all the more magic to me ::)
😃
Geologist+Neil Young b awesome
I keep forgetting that Avey Tare and Panda Bear aren’t brothers
...i like chicago
Geologist comes off a bit like a Iknoweverythingologist.
Whatever...three sweet souls.
Panda speak ffs
musicalman1995 I feel like he has mild social anxiety
