I'd love to build an F-35 kit, but it seems like every manufacturer over does the jagged RAM pattern and makes it too pronounced. Whenever you see pics of the real thing, its almost completely smooth.
surface detail is insane isn't it ? the real jets always look like they have come from the paint shop-and someone has left the masking tape on ! .

Great video, this kit is made of normal styrene plastic is it? an online hobby shop has the same kit listed as resin, id like to buy it if its actually made from styrene.

Why are you using so many different paints? Because in the end product I didn't see those colors back you used earlier. It may just be me. I guess those layers give a better effect, but I'm not sure how they give a better effect.

Dusan, what was the Grey Liquid that you applied to the rear surfaces with a brush?
Great build but why was there a gun pod put under the the main body of the airplane?
F-35B and C models don't have a built-in 25mm gun.
I wonder why they designed them that way.
What kind of glue are you using for this model. I saw the part where you put the two halves together and im wondering what kind of glue you used. Also, is that a special glue container that only lets a little out at a time?

Looks very clean like it came right out from the Lockheed-Martin factory. How did you get the X-22 to lay on super glossy, did you use Mr. Color Leveling Thinner? I'm thinking of adding some metallic paint (Gunmetal or Matte Aluminum) to the base color grays for that metallic look seen on the real planes.

Hi, great model! Could you tell me what putty did you use? I saw it's something from tamiya but never actually saw this before. Thanks!
MrTommythecat86 Sorry I forgot to write that down. It is a regular Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer from a bottle. (40ml pack). This primer is perfect for holes and small gaps, and can be easily applied with a modeling brush. (also You can use Mr. Surfacer...). All the best! Dusan.

DevInvest you may not be aware but there’s this thing called a volume control and if the music is bothering you that much you can stop listening to it whilst continuing to watch the video. Amazing what technology can do these days eh.

what thinner ratio do you use with Tamiya? I just tried tamiya for the first time and I couldnt seem to get the proper mixture.
60p-40t with high air pressure. 90% of the time I am using 50-50 mix. All the best! Dusan.
I tried making a B-17 without the proper stuff (paint brush, wrong paints, wrong glue).
What the heck; the entire aircraft is suppose to be FS36170 *which AKAN and Vallejo carry!

Do you wash the model before you start painting/assembly?
Yes and no, depending on residues on plastic and loosen parts on sprues. But I always clean the model with alcohol or thinner before paint job. All the best! Dusan.

Hello again. Looks like I caught the bug!! I just bought this kit and the masking set. Not really a fan of the F-35 though I think in looks better in it's Navy form with the twin wheel nose leg. Just out of curiosity, I noticed you clear coated the model once you applied the main colour before adding the extensive masking set. Did you apply a clear coat to the light colour before removing the paint masks?
