I could watch Dusan all day. Every single piece placement looks effortless. I drop pieces 2 or 3 times before finally seating them. And that cockpit detail?! You could have just displayed that alone!
I worked on the Tomcat back in my Navy days. You building this brought back memories fixing these jets. Very nice paint job and the detail of this model was fantastic.
The F14 Tomcat was the one and only model I've ever built, maybe 30 years ago... I'm glad to se it again, moreover done by a skilled person! Thanks for sharing.

That's cool. I used to work for Grumman Aerospace in those days and got to see the 1:1 F-14 Tomcats being built. I was a tool design engineer there. It was my 1st job out of college. I lived about 5 miles from it when I was a kid.
As a kid, I built a 1/48th 14A (maybe a Revell kit?) and, well it's been nearly 38 years since. It was one of my absolute favorite aircraft and builds. This brought me right back and I thoroughly enjoyed this build. The use of the thin cement changes *everything*. Thank you! Might have to pick this up again!
I have a bunch of models I purchased 4 years ago. I have all the paints, tools, airbrush and compressor. But I just never started to build any of them. I have to say this gave me the inspiration I had when I was a kid building models. You lit a fire under my ass ! ! ! Thank you. 👍👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

i love the professional overview of the kit. i didn't know tamiya jet models were so high class, i hope they make some 1/72 or 1/144 stuff that's similar.

My father was in the Navy and flew this plane. He loved flying the tomcat so I guess you guys did a good job.

They have been retired now for nearly 15 years - replaced by the less capable but easier to maintain F/A-18E/F Super Hornet series.
