Nice review. Haven't received my Eastonmade yet but it will be soon. Have greased my old box store splitters with tube grease, an old can of wheel bearing grease, and occasionally paint the bare metal with drain oil. Might not want to do that on a new Eastonmade though.
I would really like to get a 22-28 just don't know if I can swing it. It would help a lot when we work on the hard splitting wood. I would go for the extended pan $350 I think.
That’s nice machine. I got 35 ton glade I did from other manufacturer. A commercial splitter really helps out.

The paint brush seems pretty easy and quick! Which Eastonmade model did you go with?
I'm getting the 22-28. I might call and ask about the extended pan.

Rain cap broke on mine too about the same hours
Yeah they're kinda cheaply made, thanks for watching!
Use a dry moly on the beam, way better much easier.
I'll get a can and give it a try!
I paint mine with marine grease.
10-4 do you use a paint brush too?
@@WellsFirewood Yes I do!
That seems like a pretty easy way to do it! I appreciate the input!
