Not a regular viewer, but in the past I've witnessed your tribulations trying to keep that pond afloat, up to the point of hanging your neck. You've come a long way since then, and now travelling that Cateel road without a heavy burden on your chest proves you've overcome the harshest challenges in your Philippine life. Life goes on indeed.
I remember back in the day when you had all the emotional turmoils with the lake and fish, and a scramble to get them all out in time, you sure have grown since then mate, well done..
Kumander D, please don’t lose hope. You inspire so many people. I completely understand your feelings about a place like Maglahus-while it’s a picturesque place to visit, making a life there is a different story. Your fishpond, which you’ve aptly described as “a labor of many headaches,” reflects your incredible tenacity and determination. Through your efforts, you not only sustain yourself but also provide for those who work alongside you and their families. Keep going; your hard work is making a difference!
Hahaha! Kalamansi King of Agusan! Right on! My two fave content creator! Some guys here is right kumander, don't sell it. Property appraises in time. You can lease it out, or slowly improve it. Just choose the right people to be with you. Ayos!
I'm glad and salute you Kumander keeping the Fishpond...as you said you will not abandon the "Labor of Headache" yup live the life of slow motion...enjoy the journey of life even the steps you are taking is emotionaly or physically painful...life to live is a prevelige...enjoy all the areas of life because it is a One Time Offer to pursue the potential of what you are.
KD, it is hard to deal with mother nature in the Philippines. Wet and dry seasons with storms just make it difficult to deal with. It's best you keep the house and ponds for the future. Keep smiling and laughing as you go. John
I am an avid viewer of your vlogs because contents are relevant & brings in something new in every episode. Gogogo lang kumander you enjoyed lots of viewing support from my fellowmen. I've had a year-long stay in Cardiff & Swansea & they are pretty nice places in UK.
I enjoy your videos showing that part of Davao! Thanks for sharing your journey, your interaction with the people, your eating the local foods! More power to you KD! ❤❤❤
its time to focus your time on family and at the same time your farm and fish pond for recreation...travel adventures can wait...have a rest kumander😊✌️
Kulas and others have been making you eat bangus so much lately that you thought the tuna was bangus. lol It's amazing to see how much healing you've done over the past 2 or 3 years! Being able to drive the Compostela Road without anxiety and being able to cross the water to your fishpond house are great examples of this.💪 You've come such a long way. So happy for you, Kumander!😄🤙
Your fishpond is really nice, KD. I think it has some good potential considering that Cateel is growing and developing and is a beautiful place. Suggest better to make the riprap more permanent by using rocks or boulders to rebuild the structure where the nipa house is located. But the investment will be significant. However, the value of the property will be enhanced.
To overcome hardships of your past, extraordinary accomplishments you have achieved in the Philippines. Your story is inspirational in so many ways. Thanks for sharing hard moments, it gives hope and encouragement to never give up. Great video Take care
Good memories. They say life is what we make out of it. And no matter what happens life goes on. I hope you won't let go of that place and maybe somehow someday you will find something good to do with it.
The place has potential but for now its a liability. If you can sell it for the same value then its good or if you can sell it with abit more then that would be alot better. On a business standpoint, it will cost you more money for maintenance and repairs with nothing in return. It is what it is Komander.
I laughed so hard regarding your pasalubong comment. Lol. I visited Mike and Mama Rose last November and met Kulas and Kumar. My only regret was not meeting you. You are a big influence, and I hope we get the chance to meet. Hopefully after moving to the Philippines in 2025 I can complete the Philippines loop within 12-18 months. I have so many questions, but I hope I can ask in person. Best wishes

Please don't sell the pond rent it out for a week or day and put some tilapia and have tourist stay and they can catch their food and have it cook there
Eastern Davao Oriental is tough to make money in. Many hours away from the markets. The only advantage is cheap labour. Any agricultural business there needs to be run with a total control over expenditure and income. As a westerner, it feels like it is easier to make 10x as much just doing online stuff. If I ever do agricultural stuff there again, it will probably be greenhouses near a major urban city.

Loved this video. I like the variety of shots. Your very good at capturing the feel and the spirit of the Area. I'm Curious how do the locals think and feel about the fish ponds? Could it be a top place of employment for the locals where young couples could raise families on the income? Would you reach out to the Filipina pea for a collaboration?
Wow I’m surprised I thought you just abandoned the ponds long ago and left it to the people who were working it. I think your calamansi venture will work out better for you!

@@KumanderDaot maybe it depends on the species. How about talisay tree. The coconuts are thriving though. More of that I guess. Just take care if the roof when the trees got taller.
@LynTu-ks8ed yes, the species are very localised! Because there are mangroves growing here naturally, but every time I replant, they don't grow. Talisay also grows, I think there are a few 🙂

You can open a kind of floating resto/cafe, where your customer can do fishing and pay for it per weight. You can raise mud crubs, prawn, and tilapia

Wish you all the best kumander ( best of luck for Red Tilapia venture (fish 🐟 fond ) )

Never surrender KD, maybe this time your fishpond will be successful. Just hire a good and trusted caretaker.

Nice place Kuya.💖💖👍
We learn alot from our experience. And that’s the best thing we can do to our past. Let’s keep moving and growing.
That's your life before. That's why i noticed you there in fispond.how hard work before really working hard.

Good morning kumander d
turn it into an air bnb?
My father was sales head of Solignum for Jardine Davies Inc in the 90s. He also handled Thoroseal.
It's an awesome product!
Hi Komander. kmusta na. Am sorry to see your fishpond like that. Almost no soil under your nipa hut.
lots of people succes on this buseness
KD,choose you construction materials,do not use nipa or Materials that decay through time, use G.I. sheets,so that u dont have to change it often.
I would use shoreline rocks and build your boundaries with that, that’s how Hawaiians use to make fish ponds
im glad u blog again fishpond. why not sell it , its not generating income , do unhave plan it to revive someday?
You better let Kumar find person to manage your fishpond kumander

Wow I’m surprised I thought you just abandoned the ponds long ago and left it to the people who were working it. I think your calamansi venture will work out better for you!
There hasn't been fish in the ponds since 2020 - but I've kept up the maintenance to some extent just so it won't totally fall apart!
Why make it as a natural fishpond, just let the local tilapia thrives and multiply. Fish occasionally as a recreation.
Locals steals

Part of San Antonio going to Algeria. Near the highway

Why don't you apply concrete wall to avoid repair again and again which is way too much cost in labor and materials in the long run
