I really enjoy satin shadows, I find they don’t make the lids look crinkly or emphasize/create texture. I have noticed they’re quite difficult to find outside of really luxury brands like Tom Ford, Dior, surrat suqqu. Now Korean and Japanese makeup brands are another story, they offer all sorts of different formulas/textures. One of my favorite formulas is the cream to powder formula from Natasha Denona, they aren’t as “flat matte” and don’t emphasize texture like many matte shadows seem to do. I You made me remember just how much I liked the Naked Basics, it’s a really smooth buildable formula another that really plays well on the eyes. One of my fav trios ever is the old formulation of Wet & wild walking on eggshells, they are all satiny and just lovely….I wish wet & wild kept those satiny formulas, they were around for years unchanged, like since I was in college ….but I suppose times change and people want “pigment” & things that swatch nice on Instagram….I’ll take whatever looks best on my eyes, could care less about swatching …lol
I Love the way you find us not only Good Quality products but Reasonably Priced ones too! I, for ne, have not been able to afford shopping high end since retiring and this Inflation has made it worse. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!💝
My favorite everyday little pallete is ELF’s I Love you a Latte. But my fav big “fancy” pallete is Sigma’s Ambiance. For my coloring, brown eyes and brown/gray hair it’s stunning.

I just got the Naked mini SIN palette and am really loving it. I watched Angela Bright do a tutorial with it on her mom that looked so beautiful! I also LOVE the Charlotte Tilbury small matte palette. The formula is incredible on my wrinkled lids🤣

Persona 1&2 are my current faves! Picked #2 up during the last Ulta sale and absolutely loved it, then paid full price for #1 as I had to have it. Tarte’s Busy Gal palette is another fave, almost a full face. But I several Tarte palettes that I love. Elf’s bite size in Cream and Sugar is an inexpensive fave, great for a quick and easy look. And of course, the newly discovered Revlon, thanks to your recommendation.

My current favorites are the new Nabla one, which was a real splurge for me, but is quite a treat! I also love my old favorite, the BH Cosmetics Smitten in Switzerland. I can always come up with a different look with this one, I never get bored. It's got enough neutrals plus some jazzy blue, greens, and mauvy tones. I really appreciate the energy you put into this! ladies ive been wearing makeup for 45 years browns and neutrals dont work on a 60 year old face. pink gold and bright peach eyeshadows work pick one shade one and done no need to contour an old crepey eyelid no need to contour your cheekbones with a brown stripe thats for 20 year olds pop a happy pink on your cheek old women need color on their faces forget the dark lipstick. a happy pink is good for an old face. i tossed the depressing browns
YES! For years, I have been tired of seeing brown makeup being so heavily marketed when it is not flattering to most people. I love knowing that someone tossed out brown, especially since so many companies have been pushing brown for both spring and the holiday season, as if other colors are not more appropriate and healthy looking! Yes to brown mascara and eyebrow products, no to brown eyelids and cheeks for most people. I only keep brown eye shadow in my kit to use as eyebrow powder.
@@buyerbware25 I am also in my 60's and have tossed out rosy brown blush and those dreaded brown eyeshadows which are not flattering on anyone. It looks like dirt on your face. We need to look healthy as we age and brown doesn't do that.
You guys are so right!!! I've never understood why people insist on brown! (Especially on the eyes. 🙄) Maybe for a light contour, if you have a round or square ish face, but, my goodness! Some mauve, plum, peach, pink, even green can be so attractive on all our faces! 😘
Some of my favorites are the classic Viseart neutral mattes 01, The BH cosmetics Naughty palette, and honorable mentions to the Cargo Chill in the six palette (great companion palette that complements brown eyes. Lots of satins here), ABH Modern rennaisance (the Wet n Wild dupe is great too), and UD Naked Heat. The green mini palette from UD looks so good! Might just pick it up.
Hi Laura, I think my favorite palette is the ColourPop Stone Cold Fox palette. Recently during a sale I bought a couple of 9 pan palettes (that's taupe palette & going coconuts). I think I have to say colourpop has become my new favorite brand.

Hi Laura, I'm with you, I love the first palette you showed. The colors are lovely. I love mattes, and some light sheens. I havent been able to find it in the store. I'll look below. I also love Mally too. She's great for all make-up. I also like Urban Decay. I have cool toned skin, I absolutely love the color orange on my lid, not a garish orange, just some color I found in a NYX single. I use a liquid purple on my top lid only. This, in itself is my miracle pen, because I cannot wear purple pencil much less eyeshadow whatsoever! The pen is made by N. K. Makeup and it is a liquid liner. Finally! I've never been able to find a purple color, much less a liner I could wear without puffing up my eyes like a blow fish. It cost me a whopping $2. in a local beauty supply. I bought ever single one! I'm so happy. My eyes pop like green! I asked my very critical sister of what she thought of my eye colors and she said, "Are you wearing contacts, your eyes never looked that green to me!" I have to say, it made my day. I'm the only woman in my family with hazel eyes. My sister's, all four of them have green or light green eyes. I really love the outcome of these colors so much. Another of my favorites is Doll cosmetics for foundation. It covers any imperfections you might have, but doesn't look or feel like you're wearing a ton of foundation. I’m actually getting more colorful with my eyeshadows as I get older! 58, with a little bit of crepe, but not too much drooping. I do a neutral all over, a colorful shade along the lash line and a dot of shimmer in the center. My favorite green palette is ColourPop The Child (Baby Yoda), and the Haunted Europe palette from Nomad. It has beautiful grungy colors.
I have a more hooded/droopy lid on my right eye and it makes getting my shadows to look even so hard. It’s really irritating. But I’ve been loving color too and especially colored liners!!! I thought if not now, when? ♥️
I love several from Colourpop ( among them are: Lyrics, Amor and Ballad, Stone Cold Fox, and Rose & Smoke) Jeffree Star ( Blue blood, Or...y, Blood Sugar, and the purple one (I cannot remember the name)... those are my 5😛 favorites. I guess I am not good at mathematics 🤓

Lorac pro 3 is a boring but amazing on the eyes if you have fair to tan skin. Any darker I can’t attest to.
