上了一堂很珍貴的歷史課，可以更精彩，更詳細，因為歷史久遠，發生不少事，(我不知道連這小島也發生過228事件，悲慘的世界)，非常喜歡看理查的影片，有內容，充實，很用心，比台灣人更容入這個島嶼，如果短距離出遊，其實可帶全家一起來。(我記得你兒子小時候長的像模子印出來的，很可愛)，現大概長大，不愛跟大人一起了，加油！

以前很喜歡去和平島玩水、游泳🏊‍♀️，但是以前不用門票。去了那麼多次，都不了解和平島的歷史，感謝理查的介紹👍

Besides Okinawan, there's also a Korean settlement at Heping Island. They too moved there during the Japanese colonial period. Both Okinawan and Korean on Heping Island fell victims of the 228 incidents along with Taiwanese, some of them were killed. Some Okinawan still came here occasionally to worship their deceased ancestors, and the descendants of some Heping Island Koreans still live there. There's a Korean church nearby.
There's also a large aboriginal settlement around Heping Island. Most of them are Amis people who came from eastern Taiwan. They worked as fishermen there. Heping Island used to be the largest fishing port in Taiwan, and is still an important offshore fishing harbor.
