It's one thing to steal from anyone but to just throw it in the river is something else. What a shame. People working on projects like building houses or remodeling has lost an enormous amount of money due to an idiot stealing for no reason. A thief and liar are the worst. Great video though. Thanks Nigel.
With a bit of cleaning, I think most of those tools could be put back into good nick. A good drying out and cleaning might put some of them in operating condition. At the cost of new tools, I would sure give it a good try. Great cleanup!
14:28 look to be fasteners for foam board insulation panels. They need the larger washer on the end do they don't just go straight through the foam. The length suggests that they may be for the really thick panels used on roofs before the rubber membrane is put on top.
is a sweet stretch that.... always treats. i had some tools from around there months ago.. not from the sunk boat you found,, was from before rhat from wat paul said..
Someone sure lost a lot of expensive tools in there. It was almost hilarious when you kept pulling them up one after another. I was waiting for a tool box or something.
It looks like all the tools and stuff of someone’s work van was dumped in the canal. I’ll bet if you leave the drill to dry out it will still work, they often do.
Tooling around were you Nigel 😮⁉️. Don’t let the wife know 😂🤣😂 j/k. No offense intended 👍🏻. Too bad they were all waterlogged instead of waterproofed 😮😮😜❣️🫶🏻from 🌹
The cheese grater after half a hardware store made me laugh out loud. 😂👍😎

Am a huge fan of your channel. All those power tools can be be sold to other utubers that make a video of restoring them. Oh I’m from Ft Worth Tx.
I was waiting for you to pull up the tools cabinet that all those tools fell out from. Great job getting all that crap out of the water.
they may not be as good as the war relics but it was a good find anyway congradulations nigel good going . terry

Hi Nigel and Paul and Terri, so many tools, unbelievable that someone or some people would throw them all in the water, shame on them.
The spike is for pest's bird's, They have them near food shops.
I feel for the chap who was the original owner of all those tools

So what did you do with the tools?
Does DeWalt trade in tools like Craftsman always did?
yes expensive ones.
Use wd40 to displace the water in the lock but to keep it lubricated use duc oil

Man oh man someone's garage got emptied.

dafuq... Did someone try and open an underwater hardware shop?
Waiting
You're always waiting, - have a hug 😊
I wonder if all of the tools were reported stolen to the police?
I'm guessing someone was very cross with someone else to dunk their tool collection
we think they were on a boat that sunk in the same area.
More than likely the tools came out of a van with that was stolen and only the van was wanted
