Glad you mentioned the Loox thing, glad to see someone getting that information correct. But when you go to new home the worn dagger and heart locket will be there. No Geno flowey dialogue. No sans fight. You can walk to asgore and fight him at lvl 19
Fun fact: this isn’t actually how you can get the highest Attack stat in the game (well, on a neutral route). Basically, you recreate what happens here, but spare Glad Dummy and buy Temmie Armor.
@@Mixoww I have tested this too. I did it to try and get max damage possible on Asgore that wasn’t set damage. Maybe you gotta wait to fully grind the kill count until after Glad Dummy and buying the armor.
You said in the video that Toriel does not contribute to the Ruins death counter. However, that isn't entirely accurate. A glitch in the game lets you slay only 19 enemies in the Ruins, then fight Neutral Route Toriel and still be on the Genocide Route, implying that she does count toward the Ruins death counter. This information will be useful when you do the "Lowest EXP Possible in Undertale's Genocide Route" video.
@@Hanzlolz-yy9ct That is also possible if you get a double encounter at 19 kills or a triple encounter at 18 kills. More than likely however, you killed 20 enemies in the Ruins, then killed Toriel, who also counts as a kill.
I tried doing this exact thing in Undertale Yellow! I didn't have the patience or information for it though, as it uses different encounter rules then Undertale. Notably, being on a genocide route in that game means less monsters show up per area, so the optimal thing to do (I think) is to abort the route in Snowdin. Maybe you should try to do it! This video was very well made, and any more love for Undertale Yellow is always good.
Really good video! I did this run myself a while back, and you can actually get a slightly higher amount of EXP. The “don’t pick on” option for Loox subtracts the amount of total EXP you would get. You can optimize this to be one off of the EXP cap and get the highest EXP amount, similar to going over the kill count. This allows each Loox to give 24 EXP. This would give 42 extra EXP, which still isn’t enough to reach LV 18, but it is theoretically the highest possible EXP.
In fact, Undertale wiki says that picking on Loox increases EXP gained from Loox by 5 up to a maximum of 15. I believe it also said in an earlier version of the game it wasn't capped.
@@awesomeandrewgames oh hi, i actually am doing a " max xp undertale guide " myself for myself, so i would like to help with v2 of this video, after i watch it!
I hate seeing such good videos from such good channels who just don't have enough subscribers. You deserve so much more recognition for what was quite obviously a passionate idea.
As another comment said before, it's possible to get 24 EXP from Loox instead of 22 Another thing though is that it's possible to erase Lesser Dog's encounter entirely, since he's always the third Snowdin encounter (unless you fight Glyde). If you exit the room on the same frame that you encounter Lesser Dog, he will never appear again. That means that you're free to farm Glydes FIRST and THEN get a triple encounter with Snowdrake, Jerry, and Ice Cap. Be sure to steal Ice Cap's hat so that it gives 25 EXP instead of 16
Getting 24 exp from Loox is longer than getting 22 exp from Loox. In other words, it's easier to get 22 exp than 24 exp because all you have to do is pick on Loox 3 times, while you have to pick on and don't pick on Loox correctly in order to acquire 24 exp which is the maximum exp you can obtain from Loox. Getting an exp lower than 22 except 7 is also harder because you have to pick on and don't pick on in order to get a certain number of exp.
In version 1.00, there was a glitch to get locked into true pacifist and still grind encounters in the core, so the highest lv you can get to in pacifist is lv 14*
Actually LV 15 by killing 39 knight knights, the what a nightmare triple encounter, the warriors path encounters, and so sorry. 8301 of them EXPs! If you do this, eat 8 legendary heroes, and hit a quad with the gun, you can kill snowdrakes mom too, for zero exp. She still appears later, though.
Gonna fact check you here. With Loox, Don't Picking on him lowers his EXP yield by 2, as long as it's above 5. Picking on him raises your EXP yield by 5, as long as it's below 20. Meaning that you can Pick (12), Pick (17), Unpick (15), Unpick (13), Unpick (11), Unpick (9), Pick (14), Pick (19), Pick (24).
@laytonspuzzle also makes a point that if you flee from Snowdrake at first, you can have your last encounter in Snowdin be Snowdrake, Jerry, and Ice Cap. This grants additional XP from killing Jerry and Ice Cap. 1XP from Jerry, 25XP from Ice Cap if you seal their hat first. Thus far that's 68 XP missing.
Technically, if you have Unpicked on Loox, the next time you Pick On Loox, you simply remove the sparability and do not get the EXP increase. You need to Pick On Loox one more time, and It would look like: "Pick (12), Pick (17), Unpick (15), Unpick (13), Unpick (11), Unpick (9), Pick (9), Pick (14), Pick (19), Pick (24)"

I think I caught a mistake. It makes more sense to spare or flee from Snowdrake at first, THEN kill 15 Glydes. Afterward, you can get the encounter with Snowdrake, Ice Cap and Jerry, and kill Snowdrake there. The extra Ice Cap and Jerry would add 26 EXP to the total, making the final EXP a nice even 23500. EDIT: I think I caught another mistake. It's possible to obtain as much as 24 EXP from Loox, not 22. I don't blame the doc for not catching this, since to do it you must do a combination of Pick On's and Don't Pick On's. One combo that works is: Pick on x3, Don't Pick On x4, Pick on x3. This means an extra 2 EXP for each of the 21 Ruins encounters, making the hypothetical Max EXP 23542. EDIT 2: I greatly underestimated how hard the game railroads you into a Lesser Dog encounter. The Snowdrake, Ice Cap and Jerry encounter is locked behind the Lesser Dog encounter. It can be avoided by glitching it (getting it right at the room transition) but in a glitchless run there's no way. So the new new Max EXP has been downgraded to 23516.
As I said, you'd want to get the encounter with Snowdrake, Ice Cap and Jerry. Snowdrake's in that encounter. The mistake was that it's impossible to get that encounter, glitchless, without running into Lesser Dog.@@creeperboom9813
The highest lv in neutral is lv 19. Let me explain, you have to kill the royal guards and spare muffet. Since muffet is not a hotland or core enemy it aborts the route but killing 40 monsters in the core will still have mettaton neo set you lv to 19 sans doesn’t stop you as you spared the life of a single person so you do asgore fight with 92 hp
@awesomeandrewgames this is definitely unintentional. It's caused by a glitch where sparing Muffet doesn't update Flags properly meaning that whatever you did to the last monster you encounter is what the game thinks you did to her
Wow, I never knew that about the Loox pick on option! I love that people continue to find new content in Undertale, Deltarune, and its fan games, it makes them even more interesting! I hope this video gets many more views, I'm so grateful it happened to reach me! Awesome job.
16:40 Technically, LV 18 is completely possible, though only through a glitch I have little understanding of called the Persistence Glitch. Also, I'm aware this doesn't count under your criteria since you have to fight Mettaton NEO and get the automatic LV 19 in order to do this, but it's possible to do a LV 19 Neutral Route through another glitch- which I'm not sure actually has a name- by exhausting your Hotland kill counter and sparing Muffet afterwards. Mettaton NEO's kill check doesn't actually check for whether or not Muffet was killed, so you still fight him and get LV 19. But Sans' kill check does, so you never end up fighting him.
I tried this because I noticed a lv 11 Undyne the Undying Fight being noticably easier than a lv 10. Doing it at Lv13 was a joke, but I barely got a lv 13. '-' Also at Lv13 your natural defense is 3, compared to 2 at Lv 12, which changed the amount of Hits Undyne needs to kill you go from 5 to 6, i think. Depends on attack.
@@awesomeandrewgames dont worry, she's probably easier than Sans Imo, tho I practiced a lot more on Sans I still use one or 2 healing items. this took a very interesting take on the idea. Great video editing and story execution. you are very underrated and have earned a new sub. Not to mention you pointed out Easter eggs I was unaware of (like looks) (I've been heavy into the fandom since 2015)
Because of this video, I just learned Sans has extra dialogue if you try to get his key off of Pacifist, where there’s dialogue for if you get judged, feel bad, and then lower your LV to 1 without also changing your EXP and kill count, one for LV 2 where he says no one gets to LV 2 and feels bad enough about it to stop killing people but not bad enough to reload, dialogue for LV 3 where he actually goes easy on you, dialogue for LV 4-9 where he says you MIGHT have done it in self defence since that’s about what you’d get if you did a Neutral playthrough, dialogue for LV 10-14 where he says you officially have an F in Mercy, and dialogue for LV 15+, where he basically calls you an evil mugger who should stop. He ALSO has hidden dialogue for getting judged, loading your game, killing someone, and coming back. This supposedly happens if you gain LOVE OR abort Pacifist.
@@awesomeandrewgames Yeah, the dirty brother killer line IS good, but you only get it for saying people can’t change, and the one for saying peopke can change is FAR weaker. Anyone playing Undertale for the first time blind with no assistance, outside help, or prior knowledge, some of the first wave of people playing it who didn’t have a chat there to shove spoilers down their throat or to tell them to never EVER kill anyone, will probably kill Toriel because there’s only a SINGLE Froggit who brings up sparing without white names, and since the only was to progress are killing her, repeatedly missing her, or hitting spare over and over without interuption (you have to specifically not act or hit her for a few turns in a row in order to get stuck on sparing her). Papyrus might also die because he’s the game’s first of 3 “Survive X turns” bosses (the other 2 I can think of being Sans and Muffet) and the player, not knowing about sparing to waste turns, and knowing Papyrus’s Acts aren’t working, unless they either REALLY like or REALLY suck at Papyrus, he’ll probably die too. Undyne clearly says in BIG *bold* text that you should run from her, and Mettaton has the whole viewers mechanic where doing anything bar wasting a turn influences his view count. Like, killing Papyrus just kinda… overwrites everything. It’s like how all the Neutral Endings where you kill Papyrus end with Sans telling you he’s gonna end your bloodline except for like the one where Toby becomes God, the one where Alphys tells yiu she should’ve murdered you, and the one with Mettaton.
@@username5155actually, papyrus skips to the dog robber attack at low hp, meaning the only way to kill him is the betrayal. if you kill him, that's completely on you.
2nd fun fact: the pick on loox 3 times for 22 exp thing is also on ts!underswap, so, while you cant simply grind out 20 looxes because of the "5 kills per room" thing, you can try to kill as many looxes as possible
@@andreaslefteri3661 in the uty highest exp vid, the youtuber said that if you go far into the area and meet a late room enemy, it appears on previous areas when you backtrack, so i wonder, does this universal roster rule apply into ts!us?
@@dylanzlol7293 nope, TS Underswap has specific monsters for each room. In ruined home at least, in starlight isles all rooms with random encounters can give the 2 random enemies, woodwork and mordax, but only one room can give the double woodwork and woodwork and mordax double encounter(and then beenard and sunbrock can only be fought once in specific rooms)
You can also kill the monsters in the ruins in the room where there's six rooms that you can fall into, they don't despawn after killing all the others.
me after finding out the monster populations only contained boss monsters NIGHT NIGHTS, FAT WHALES, AND MIKE MASOWSKIS, AND 1 SNOW DRAKE. AND ROYAL GUARD 01 and 02
Awesome vid! I’ve thought about doing something like this a lot so it was cool to see someone do it! One note: Loox can actually yield 24 EXP. The way to do this is to: -Pick On (3x) -Don’t Pick On (4x) -Pick On (3x) When using don’t pick on, the EXP is reduced by 2. After subtracting 8 from 22, were left with 14 exp, and all it takes is three more Pick Ons to get 24 (not that it would’ve affected much of the run, also the third pick on after the dont pick on just removes spareable status and doesn’t increase exp yield so three are necessary). Not that this would have affected much of the run. Awesome work though!
You'd need to Pick On Loox 3 times the second time because your first Pick On after a Don't Pick On simply removes the spareable state and does not raise Loox's EXP value. So: -Pick On (3x) -Don’t Pick On (4x) -Pick On (3x)
People have mentioned this in the comments but no one has seemed to explained it You can achieve lv 19 in a neutral route by sparing Muffet or the Royal Gaurds to abort the geno route, but why does this work? This works because Mettaton NEO either giving you 10,000 exp or setting your LV to 19 ONLY checks if you've maxed the area kill counter. It does not check what your murder level is. Murder level is the hidden stat of geno's progression. Sparing Muffet or the Royal Gaurds means your murder level can't be as high as it has to be for geno, but you can still max the area kill counter
This was a very fun video to see :P I’m now wondering, what’s the highest amount of EXP possible in the TS!Underswap demo? Can you get to LV 9 and fight Crossbones with an additional level? That might be harder to do because the game has a certain amount of kills per room so you can’t grind kills in one room. Also, if you leave the room after killing a monster it leads to a faster encounter rate, rinse and repeat the process (I learned that trick from watching Shayy).
Yes, lv9 is possible I have obtained it myself. I heard someone say in a TH-cam comment that LV 10 is possible. 100% believe that because I was close to reaching LV10 after the sans fight Btw sans does give EXP
Great idea and great excecution! (Pun not intended.) Fun fact: The highest kill counter possible is 120 kills, although it's lower in total EXP than achieved in this video. It's the same as this route with two minor differences. The first is that in the ruins, Snowdin and Waterfall, instead of killing two Looxs, one Glyde and Aaron with Woshua, instead kill triple incounters with any enemies. This will grant four additional kills. The second is instead of sparing the Royal Guards and aborting the genocide route, keep proceeding on the genocide route so that you can kill Sans for one additional kill.
OK, I can say that this was a very cool video on how much EXP you can get in Undertale. but...only in the game... I haven't seen anyone making content about the EXP we get if we kill all, literally ALL monsters in the Underground, including those we can't encounter, although it seems pointles because you need an unreal amount of EXP (quite literally). Anyway, I want to see such content, it will make the game more interesting P.S. Imagine fighting Alphys...
Incredible video! I actually wondered the same thing a long time ago, even did a full run up until Hotland. I also tried to do minimum exp on aborted geno. Minimum possible lv on Undyne the Undying is 8. Tried to kill her with lv 8, stick and bandage. Was NOT fun, your attack is so horrible hitting far left and center hits does pretty much the same damage and you can only get her to half hp before she runs out of green attacks. As for the rest of the run, I don't remember what lv you have before fighting Metta, but he gives enough exp to get you lv 16. In fact, he gives enough exp to get you from lv 1 to lv 16, so you can only finish aborted geno with 16, 17, or 19 lv. Kinda underwhelming tbh.
I’ve done this glitch before! I’ve looked everywhere and never found a single person talk about it (I tired to do it on my channel but after grinding for hours I forgot to click record and I gave up)
@@awesomeandrewgames Nah, I love doing this kind of thing even though most people find it boring - I've completed several thousand genocide and neutral runs working out different math problems with EXP. I find it really fun!
@@awesomeandrewgames One of my favorites was I tried to figure out the max amount of EXP while aborting a genocide route in Ruins - it's really interesting because you can use So Sorry for a couple and that kind of thing
Fun fact: (not technically related due to Mettaton NEO being excluded) (Warning: this got kinda long because I’m not good at talking so I kinda foget how long a sentence should be sometimes. Sorry!) (According to the game’s wiki, this is untested by me because I lost my save data and also have never beaten Undying before) As long as you reach the Murder level for Hotland/The Core, you can spare the Royal Guards and/or Muffet and the game won’t notice IF you killed the previous monster, meaning you can get up to -Level- LOVE 19 on a Neutral Route. Luckily, the game knows you’ve aborted since it has a second Murder level system JUST for mini-bosses, meaning if you miss one, progressing will automatically abort the run. This is in some ways a good thing but in most ways a bad thing no Sans but yes Asgore and Photoshop Flowey. Also, extra fun fact! For some reason, entering a battle at -Level- LOVE 20 cuts your attack by 8 but in return raises your defence by *TWENTY-SIX* for some reason. Yeah, your base attack at LOVE 20 is 38, which is lowered to 30 in battles, and your base defence is 4, the same as level 17+ (OH MY GOD GUYS IT’S A WING GASTER REFERENCE IT’S THE SUPER LORE GET MATPAT OUT OF RETIREMENT ASAP!!!), but for some reason, this ALSO gets set to 30 in battles, making entering a battle at LOVE 20 make your defence raise MORE THAN TEMMIE ARMOUR WOULD for some reason. Because this game was made by a white dog who can’t sew using voice-to-text software with the help of a weird cat-dog-human thing who new him from a webcomic she liked.

You can do the Asgore fight at LV 19 you have to do genocide, but the only difference is that you spare Muffet and ONLY Muffet and then kill ALL of the core monsters but sadly the mettaton exp is actually set even tho ur not in the genocide... so it doesn't really count...
You know this is actually a sick tech for first time genocide players to farm glydes to make undyne die around 15% faster. That's a significant reduction in difficulty considering the worst patterns are at the end
Great video I once had the thought myself and decided to try it but lost my patience at snowdin. I think you missed 42 exp at ruins, I have to test it again cause I did it a long time ago but it should work like the following: loox's exp starts at 7, "don't pick on" reduces by 2 if >4, "pick on" increases by 5 if
Btw, Don't Pick On causes the next Pick On to remove the spareable state and to not give any EXP value, so a more accurate way to get to 24 EXP value would be: 7+5+5-2-2-2-2+0+5+5+5

Oh nice I did not know that. Thanks for the support!
In fact, Undertale wiki says that picking on Loox increases EXP gained from Loox by 5 up to a maximum of 15.

As another comment said before, it's possible to get 24 EXP from Loox instead of 22
Another thing though is that it's possible to erase Lesser Dog's encounter entirely, since he's always the third Snowdin encounter (unless you fight Glyde). If you exit the room on the same frame that you encounter Lesser Dog, he will never appear again. That means that you're free to farm Glydes FIRST and THEN get a triple encounter with Snowdrake, Jerry, and Ice Cap.
Be sure to steal Ice Cap's hat so that it gives 25 EXP instead of 16
if you're gonna use glitches you might as well refight mettaton endlessly

Oh weird. Probably not intentional but still interesting
@lemons38 yeah but you need to kill less in the core if you kill 01 and 02
@awesomeandrewgames this is definitely unintentional. It's caused by a glitch where sparing Muffet doesn't update Flags properly meaning that whatever you did to the last monster you encounter is what the game thinks you did to her

Aborted Geno - Or for Speedrunners like me: Neutral Glitchless (great video! :))
Thank you!
You can also get lv 20 in neutral by using the punch card and fighting mettaton ex over and over again
ALSO you can get lv 20 in tpe by using the persistence glitch
It also works if you spare the royal guards
I tried this because I noticed a lv 11 Undyne the Undying Fight being noticably easier than a lv 10. Doing it at Lv13 was a joke, but I barely got a lv 13. '-'
Also at Lv13 your natural defense is 3, compared to 2 at Lv 12, which changed the amount of Hits Undyne needs to kill you go from 5 to 6, i think. Depends on attack.

He ALSO has hidden dialogue for getting judged, loading your game, killing someone, and coming back. This supposedly happens if you gain LOVE OR abort Pacifist.
Yeah, it kinda sucks that if you kill Papyrus you get the same responsibility speech from sans no matter what LV you are
@@awesomeandrewgames Yeah, the dirty brother killer line IS good, but you only get it for saying people can’t change, and the one for saying peopke can change is FAR weaker.
That’s a large reason for why I made it
Awesome vid! I’ve thought about doing something like this a lot so it was cool to see someone do it! One note: Loox can actually yield 24 EXP. The way to do this is to:
-Pick On (3x)
-Don’t Pick On (4x)
-Pick On (3x)
When using don’t pick on, the EXP is reduced by 2.
So:
-Pick On (3x)
-Don’t Pick On (4x)
-Pick On (3x)
@@ezra3746 yeah I realized my mistake later. I’ll fix it
You can get 42 extra EXP if for each Loox, you pick on them twice, then don’t pick on them frice, and then pick on them thrice.

People have mentioned this in the comments but no one has seemed to explained it
You can achieve lv 19 in a neutral route by sparing Muffet or the Royal Gaurds to abort the geno route, but why does this work?
This works because Mettaton NEO either giving you 10,000 exp or setting your LV to 19 ONLY checks if you've maxed the area kill counter. It does not check what your murder level is.
Murder level is the hidden stat of geno's progression. Sparing Muffet or the Royal Gaurds means your murder level can't be as high as it has to be for geno, but you can still max the area kill counter
Another underated channel im good at finding these.

This was a very fun video to see :P
I’m now wondering, what’s the highest amount of EXP possible in the TS!Underswap demo? Can you get to LV 9 and fight Crossbones with an additional level?
That might be harder to do because the game has a certain amount of kills per room so you can’t grind kills in one room. Also, if you leave the room after killing a monster it leads to a faster encounter rate, rinse and repeat the process (I learned that trick from watching Shayy).
Yes, lv9 is possible
I have obtained it myself.
I heard someone say in a TH-cam comment that LV 10 is possible.
100% believe that because I was close to reaching LV10 after the sans fight
Btw sans does give EXP
Loox still has the 22 exp trick on ts!underswap, therefore i assume you can reach lv 10 for the chrono trigger crono battle
Great idea and great excecution! (Pun not intended.)
Fun fact: The highest kill counter possible is 120 kills, although it's lower in total EXP than achieved in this video.
I thought that "50 likes" was one of those joke like count thresholds and then I saw your subscriber count -_-

(According to the game’s wiki, this is untested by me because I lost my save data and also have never beaten Undying before) As long as you reach the Murder level for Hotland/The Core, you can spare the Royal Guards and/or Muffet and the game won’t notice IF you killed the previous monster, meaning you can get up to -Level- LOVE 19 on a Neutral Route. Yeah, your base attack at LOVE 20 is 38, which is lowered to 30 in battles, and your base defence is 4, the same as level 17+ (OH MY GOD GUYS IT’S A WING GASTER REFERENCE IT’S THE SUPER LORE GET MATPAT OUT OF RETIREMENT ASAP!!!), but for some reason, this ALSO gets set to 30 in battles, making entering a battle at LOVE 20 make your defence raise MORE THAN TEMMIE ARMOUR WOULD for some reason.

ohh, okay that makes sense, thanks!
