I just lost one of my players characters to this theme. He was riding on a Roc and got hit by a Blue Dragon's breath. It was a long way down, and his Featherfall wore of 60 feet above the ground. His last death save was a 9, lying on the ground with his friends rushing towards him. Godspeed, Matthew Sotaro.
Gonna use this next session! Not necessarily against Storm Giants, but I'm kinda keeping the theme. They're gonna be fighting a blue dragon, so still lightning and stormish
Gonna use this in a session in a high fantesy prehistoric setting: "Under the Isle of Giants their is said to be a path through the family tree of man, mere, beastfolk of all, through gnarlwood roots and great forest shrooms, lies a forgotten place, the island's gods moved to the light of day but the experiments on the races didn't start at the surface, in a cold marble cavern that stretches' for miles around, below the sea, under the earth, large family trees dotted in the thick syrup like tides, a throne sits where broken simian pigmy's worship a greater creation of Kho first of the beast gods, at first the god of beasts didn't know if creation through flesh was the only path, he called on the elements to make a warrior of adamantine, tempered steel and gears of stone, at first the concept didn't bear fruit...yet a heart of immense power dwelled within the warrior, perhaps one day...the warrior will awaken and fight off and calm the wild sons and daughters of Kho."
little did he know, the noob that was slain that fateful day was none other then himself! Hubris has laid waste to his fields leaving naught mere dust for the worms.
