Kovalev has everything, foot work, power, defance, chin, great technique, flaxibility... ultimate package
I agree but the only thing that lets him down is his balance. He has got knocked down a few times and all of them were from his feet being square or being off balance.
I actually disagree, I think him, along with Golovkin, have amazing balance, which plays a big part in where their power comes from. They can both throw those hard shots, and not be worried about missing and falling over or being exposed to a counter due to their balance. Kovalev's only knockdown that comes to mind was against Caparello, in which Caparello's lead right foot stepped on Kovalev's lead left foot, which resulted the knockdown. If I'm missing any, please enlighten me!

I think many people don't notice Kovalev's defence because of how aggressive his offence is, but he avoids many punches by jumping in when he wants to attack, but also jumping out right away when his attack is done. That isn't possible with bad balance, as your body weight can't be too much over your lead leg, nor can it be too much back over your rear leg. I think the fact that he's able to establish his distance in fights, and fight at his range, also really helps with his balance.

I compared Kovalev's workout with Ward's workout - no comparison! Great and impressive as Ward is during his training sessions, he's way inferior to Kovalev nonetheless. Kovalev's intensity of exercise, stamina, dedication are unrivaled. And Kovalev's workout is more diverse and versatile; unlike Ward, he does a lot of stretching exercises. I just don't see how Ward can beat this guy.

Ward can't take those punches if they fight someday. His punches really hearts. All blacks keep talking about Andre Ward that he beats kovalev, I know why. Cause Ward is a last hope for blacks. They think he is like Floyd M. They are wrong. And you will see how Russian fighter knock Andre Ward out.
