- Here's my earthquake comparison video featuring buildings of various sizes. Let me know something interesting that you know about earthquakes!
--------------------------------
Join my efforts in spreading more earthquake awareness around the globe - share this video with friends and family and let's make this comparison video the MOST watched video on TH-cam! :) Everything is possible if you believe in yourself.
--------------------
I hope these simulations will educate the general public about potential earthquake related hazards and create more curiosity about Earth Science in general. I do also hope that my videos will inspire a future generation of amazing architects, engineers and scientists! We all need to peacefully work together to make this world a better place. :)

The simulations that I post serve an educational purpose and should be solely treated as such. We should not forget that earthquakes are real world events that can sometimes lead to loss of properties and lives.

IMPORTANT! What you are seeing is intense ground shaking equivalent to X-XII on the Mercalli Scale. In most cases, quakes look that strong ONLY if it is major shallow depth quake (M6.8 or higher) and ONLY close to the fault rupture area.

I ilke your Sim earthquakesim!
Love thiss!! u deserve 10 million subs (and McDo Chiken
We will get there I promise you!!!! I will be working hard until it happens!!
Can t wait to see this.
thank you so much!!!
Yay a new video
@@EarthquakeSimbeing an Arizonan, I’ve been curious on what a 9.0 earthquake on the yavapai mazatzal subduction zone would be like.
It incredible 😊 the channel growing 👏 congratulations your 46000 subs EQS
Thank you so much🙃❤️
4:18 people from shorts: I could survive that if I were in the top 🤓🤓🤓🤓
just wait until this video gets viral! keep making amazing videos earthquakesim!
Thank you so much friend! It is always a matter of time 🫡☀️
Hey, love the vid❤ what do you think about making a vid on historical landmarks?
That would be a great idea! I've only done Pisa Tower so far
love your videos also what’s the game name?❤
I’d love to know more about what facets of structural engineering types are accounted for in these simulations. Specifically, I’m not sure the super-tall tube-structures are modeled quite right. Such structures are designed to accommodate massive lateral loads and are built with tuned dampening as a core condition of managing lateral (and transverse) oscillations. As an example, I’d expect the failure mode for the Sears Tower and Burj Dubai models, to be centered around a foundational failure due to the localized lateral acceleration, e.g, piling and column collapses at and below ground level. I don’t think you’d see much movement through the superstructure initially, instead you’d see the whole building come down, starting from the ground floors, once lateral movement at ground level initiated a foundational failure. In the case of the Sears and Burj, I think this is particularly true, as you’d have sheering forces acting against the pilings that are driven into bedrock, with both being surrounded by surface level material that’s subject to liquefaction and very different levels of wave propagation.
That said, I could be completely wrong (and I certainly hope there’s never a real-world test of either buildings structural resilience under such conditions).
Also, I do enjoy these videos.
thank you so much for your detailed feedback! I totally agree with everything you say! The foundation pillars would fail first in tall structures because that's where the acting forces are highest. My simulations are still a work in progress and for now they are amazing food for thought for anyone interested in this topic :) where are you from?
@@EarthquakeSim Hello - I’m from NYC. A place where I hope we never experience what you simulate! (Note: your brick and wood frame structures seem to fail very realistically, something that would be a very big problem around here!)
Get this man to infinity subscribers.
Let’s do that!
Very good video my friend
Thank you very much
Wow, I’ve been also doing blender for months, I think I can make simulations like this. Or maybe just a few more days
This is awesome! Have you posted anything on TH-cam? 😁
Can you do a Mega Earthquake simulation on the Seattle Space Needle?
Yep! I'm working on the Hollywood sign right now
I was in a church today on level six
I love seeing 12 floor one because my skyscraper is 12 floor
4:10 jelly..., yum!
Is this a game if so what’s it called?
It’s not a game… it’s thousand of hours of manual work in Blender ☺️
Oh
what is Blender?
Man it's either all buildings are non EQ proof or they're paper lol good video nevertheless
They are but the shaking is just too violent 😁
@@EarthquakeSim well thx im too dumb then 😅
I like the music. What are the song names so i can listen to them myself
Super 😍 from 🇱🇰
Hey earthquake sim i know you will 100k subs in some days i just know it
Thank you so much for your encouragement!!!
How do you do this kind of blender stuff
It took months to create what you see 🙂 im using bullet constraints builder and seismo soft
Each time a building shakes and falls, i always imagine people screaming for help and running down the stairs to go outside, as it goes higher, they didnt survive
i love ur videos
Thank you so much for watching my video!
Muito bom 10/10 esse video❤
Sorry, is it a game or animation, if is not a game, could you recommend me sh like this pls
VERY GOOD VIDEO MY FRİEND
Thanks for watching😁
Do an 8.8 earthquake simulation
The roof collapsed like a pancake😂
What the app do you use?
Blender 3D plus bullet constraints builder
i really like the timestamps in the video!
I think they are really cool!
@@EarthquakeSim they help a lot because I like to skip around sometimes and watch certain ones
Can you make a noter vid of dis it cool
What app?
Try make for Malaysia Petronas twin tower ❤
