  • People Without Papers: Despite dwindling publicity, France remains a major destination for thousands of refugees in Europe's ongoing migrant crisis. This report investigates their plight, as they face police evictions and general hostility.

    "I came here to France but I experienced unspeakable problems on my way here", says 24-year-old Afghan refugee Mustafa. "I have made an application for asylum, and the French government told me to wait for 18 months", he says. There are many like Mustafa for whom French asylum remains a distant reward. In the meantime, rough sleeping and evasion of a frequently brutal French police, using tear gas and shooting rubber bullets, are a daily peril for those fleeing war. "The methods that the French police are using are criminal", says a 'Help Refugees' volunteer. Following the destruction of migrant camps, many are left without shelter. "No house, no tent, no nothing", says Kurdish refugee Zirack, sifting through a deserted camp in the woods. "It’s a big problem for all children. But what can I do? It’s my country’s problem. I can’t stay in my country because my country’s a big, big problem". For many of the migrants stuck in limbo throughout the camps, the prospect of a better life in the UK means risking all to cross the Channel. "France as a country has no respect. Just UK. UK is good for everything", says Zirack.

    The first one in this documentary IS NOT 13 😂😂😂 also , when you flee the war , you flee to first country that has no war .. you don’t cross 6 or 7 countries just to get to UK , France of Germany .. clearly going for countries with better economy.. so war is an excuse in my opinion.. either flee from war and ask for help where there isn’t war or just admit you are targeting country where you want to work and not use war as an excuse

    The problem is that the youngest and healthiest come to Europe, when they are the people who would be needed the most for building their home country. If these people are so smart and have right idea like they claim to have, exactly they should stay home and help their own country develop!

      They got their own gentrification to deal with sure but they are Illequipped in this age as it stands and thats why we have global efforts on these issues because it affects the globe.

      @@deliriousmysterium8137 Indeed global efforts are good, but the help must be targeted in the originating countries. It doesn't help anyone to help very few lucky ones in Europe with 100x the expense, and zero effect in the originating country. We should do things to help and encourage them to develop their own countries. 😉

      @@deliriousmysterium8137 The main problem is that the expected population of Africa in the end of the century is 3 billion, that is 3 000 000 000. It is about 6 times the population of Europe now and Europe is already over populated in most places ( in relation to the area and natural resources ). Idea that the poverty problem could be in any part solved by migration is simply unrealistic and fundamentally lacks understanding of the scale of the issue.

    • @wopmf4345FxFDxdGaa20
      @wopmf4345FxFDxdGaa20 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@deliriousmysterium8137 The current development aid is inefficient probably partly because it is so scattered. It might be a good idea for every country in Europe to take one or two African countries as a project. Each country from Europe would have 1 or 2 African countries that they help to develop. This would make the help more efficient in that way, that someone is following the progress, making things that are sensible as a whole for the country, making corrections and improvements along the way. So we would avoid the current problem wehere many cooks results in a bad soup. Also different countries could quickly experiment with different ways to help and that way find the most efficient solutions quickly. A good strategy for helping Africa is needed. But also Africans themselves should stand up and take pride of their countries, in a way that they want to start developing themselves. Africans should stop expecting others to help, because as they have seen, it is happening too slowly for them. Asians that were awhile ago just as poor didn't expect help from others, they started to work to solve the problems by themselves in their own countries and they are solving them very well. They are very quickly lifting themselves out from the poverty. Once Africans can find this same mentality, the speed of the development will increase. The president of Ghana gave a good speech about this subject.

      You may not agree but I see many who come from countries where there is no opportunity to earn even a subsistence wage and young men who have the best chance of survival and to work come to wealthy countries to support their families back home . Two of my friends came here illegally knowing one or two words of English because even a meagre wage can support a large family in the 'developing' world. I cant critisise them, I would do the same .
      What i want to know is why the world is this way . Why international banks financiers corporations and oligarchs see fit to keep billions in abject poverty, a miserable existence no human rights and no opportunities while they plunder the planet turning it into a toxic dump

Why isn’t that issue being more addressed? Their parents should be held accountable for this. With that said, why is Europe the only country they travel to? “Serious fights often erupt in the food queue…” well isn’t that great? When they are literally being served precious food by well meaning people, there is still plenty of extreme violence. So what happens when they get to England, and they find out the streets ARE NOT paved with gold? What happens when they have to get by on the meagre (I’m not saying they should get more) allowance, and struggle as they see the Native population have the trappings of a wealthy country? Will they too get violent then? I think we know the answer. With wealth and ostentatiousness being flaunted like never before on Social Media, it won’t take long at all for anyone on low handouts in a Country that they have no love/attachment to, to kick off or resort to crime and dare I say it “serious fights”.

We did and now you are under the tyrant of Taliban you have no freedom no life . So I tell this to you: you asked for this and now you are paying a very high price .

    Those poor (young) children are the only ones I have sympathy for, what their parents do to them is outrageous and they as well as the country their parents bless their problems with are the true victims. To even have kids if the condition of the country you're from is a testament to the stupidity and irrationality of these scumbags that everyone must help or you're considered a racist.

      Well said, I completely agree with you 100%, my wife works in a school here in the West Midlands and the amount of resources that they have to allocate for immigrant children is unreal, they come hardly speaking English if any at all which is a massive problem in itself but then the majority of them need all kinds of counselling for different reasons. Just yesterday my wife was telling me that the school is talking about having more teaching assistants so that every migrant kid can have their own support in class! It’s getting to the point where it’s costing nearly triple the cost to put a migrant child through our education system. Let’s hope that the government will follow through with this Rwanda idea because something has to be done.

      @@ChronicCraftsman My mother and I were speaking on this today. We all see matured from when this post was last created, so much has increased on immigration defiling to a point of disgrace right now. Our teachers are forced to take on more than what they signed up for and not getting paid for it. I don’t see how unaccompanied minors will even fit in when teachers have no one to convey frustrations and concerns along with the parents of citizens angry that it causes their children less attention and educational needs. This is a national wide “mess” that has to rectified as soon as possible or there will be another shutdown in schools due to the overload on our teachers. They aren’t babysitters, they went to school to educate!

They just toss it aside so all the things that were donated to them they throw away in the woods and keep going to the next country for more money, and they just party and do drugs. These are the degenerates. The people that came through legally the people that saw a cylon with their families. They’re thriving now as a normal citizen, and want to go back to their countries and rebuild but these are the same dregs of society that make up this world. They are part of the devils soldiers , I seen what they do. They gang raped little 12 year old girls. They break into peoples homes and beat them relentlessly their little demons.

      Ive worked with some of these people and they are so mischaracterized. I can only speak of what i know , even the economic migrants only want what most people want , the ability to work and look after themselves and to send money to their families .
      There are plenty of studies that show these 1st gen migrants are a net benefit to the host population ( johnny harris ) and i think theres not one of us that wouldnt act the way these people do on occasion if we had been born into the situation they have through no fault of their own .
