2:22 whenever Marcellus says “preach” or “say it” you know it’s real talk from someone with nfl experience. The thing I’ve realized after listening to so many nfl talk shows, is that I much prefer listening to ex nfl players over guys like skip, sas, or Whitlock. Guys like Wiley, tj housh, ole shay will tell you like it is inside an nfl locker room.

You could make that argument if they lost 37-30 or 37-28 and wentz played well, not when you only put up 10 POINTS against an avg defense and DIVISION RIVAL that you know well. It's not that many dropped passes in the world over 4 qrtrs. Wentz never gave them a chance to win because he shrunk in the MOMENT instead of having a short memory and competing until the end like all ELITE QBS do. Yes, they do have the worst secondary in the nfl and yes they have had a lot of drops this year but when your supposed to be the BEST player on the team and FRANCHISE QB your supposed to overcome those things the MAJORITY of the time. You don't lose games by 3 and 4 tds if your QB is really that GUY. Even worse is they had the same problems as a team last yr with wentz at QB, but yet when Foles was in they were somehow a legit SUPER BOWL contender even with all the SAME flaws. Foles knew how to utilize his weapons and attack the WHOLE field. Wentz at this point doesn't.
@@trulygreat7075 I disagree with your QB assessment, to me it's a team identity crisis. Howard is a 3 down back who never gets the attempts he needs to get the run game established. Its seems the coaching staff gets freaked out if you go 3 & out now and then, then the game plan turns into pass the ball 90% there after. The secondary minus Jenkins is not talented enough to cover good let alone elite receivers.

Blasto Manto foles benefited from wentz mvp campaign, home field advantage got us to the SB then fantastic catches won us the game. I say us because I’m from philly I watched ever min of every game that season.

Wide receivers are paid to catch. Lineman are paid to block. Receivers are dropping balls. Lineman aren't blocking. Wentz is balling, his numbers are top tier, he isn't going anywhere. The teammates are there the whole time and they see what outsiders don't. If they think he doesn't have what it takes then so be it. Fans talk about dropped passes but leave out bad throws/decisions.

There is better ways to vent frustrations than “putting it on blast”. Talking to him man to man is probably best. intervention style with everyone who shares your opinion is probably second best. I said it the first time this came out. It is Alshon Jefferies. Foles use to lob it up to him so he could jump and catch the football. Wentz does not do that. You can tell when Wentz passes to Alshon. There is always some strife for dropping the ball, or not running far enough.

Foles has a very different personality. He comes off as just a very lovable guy. Those guys probably liked him a whole lot. Maybe Wentz has a hard time because he's compared to him - but my guess is there's something about him that's off.

Why do people use the phrase where there's smoke there's fire? I live in southern California and we have our fair share of fires and there is smoke. Do you see in that particular situation there's no fire, but there is smoke, but, where there's fire there's always smoke. The had a betting expert on the radio on WIP on Philadelphia on Thursday night. He provides unbiased advice based on deep analytics. He provides a crazy stat that when Wentz plays with a legit field stretcher he is 13-2 with 40 TDS to single digits interceptions. The offense with it's possession style receivers depends on someone to stretch the field and open up the guys underneath. Basically they need someone to take the top off. The host, who is a Carson basher, was a bit taken back by it. When Desean comes back everything changes. Hopefully he can.
His receivers don't create separation is part of the problem, plus dropped passes. Wentz still needs to make quicker decisions, he holds on to the ball too long and the playcalling is way to predictable.

True 😔 the window has closed. Last year may have been the closest to another Super Bowl the Eagles will be in awhile. And who knows if they would've won LII if Wdntz stayed healthy. Foles brought something out of them, and maybe he was actually the heart of the team. Now a lot of these guys will likely be gone soon - and they'll be rebuilding.

One; The report never said it was a player, but rather an "anonymous eagles source", which could be ANYONE in the locker room, not just a player.
Two; Judging by the quote itself, which makes very little sense from an offensive perspective, it was probably a defensive player who doesn't have much knowledge of why the offensive scheme is what it is.

Okay so I looked up the stats since everyone is enamored with numbers and wentz in 2017 (if you look at it really wasn't an MVP caliber season) threw for under 55% completion percentage in 7 of 11 games. Since the run game was going off for 160 or more it masked his inaccuracy and struggles. He had a lot of garbage time td throws (weak opponents like the cardinals. 49ers. and Washington helped to pad those stats) the defense was giving him a short field as well.
