Hi! We just booked a July 2017 cruise on the Escape in cabin 8116. I was wondering if you have already taken your cruise? If so, what did you think about the cabin and the ship in general?
The ship and cabin are amazing, but for one little thing. You are directly below the bridge extension, and for a couple of the at sea days there was a constant water dripping down onto the balcony of this room and 8118. Live and learn, I booked the getaway for March and moved back to 8120, hope it is far enough.
Thank you! Disappointing about the water dripping on the balcony. So, was it so much water that you couldn't really use the balcony on the "at sea" days?
It did not keep us from being on the balcony. My wife reminded me I had it backwards, sea days were fine, but it seemed like when we were in port they cleaned the ship, and the water just dripped in after they cleaned it all up there. It was more like "What they heck is that drop, did you see that?" And then it happened again a few seconds later. Also, it was all the way out by the rail, so if you were sitting at the table you were pretty much fine.

Hope we can get in. My husband is going to love that he can walk into the District Brew House directly from our cabin. ;-)

Great video. I was really tempted, but it's a very long walk to the stairs and elevators. I settled on a mid ship mini on deck 13, which is near the elevators and stairs to go up or down to the Waterfront or pool area. Looking forward to that shower.Thanks again.
The steps and the elevator are right out the door and all the restaurants, casino, shops and activities are all right outside the hallway. The elevators take a looooooong time to get because of only two elevator banks and exclusive use of two elevators for the Haven guests.
Did you notice ship movement or get seasick being that forward and up? We currently have room reserved on deck 5 but might move to deck 10 FAR BACK... should we make the change?

I have a family of 4 (Two kids 4 and 6) do you think upgrading from a large balcony room at 6,200 for the week (175 sq foot room and 70 sq foot balcony) to a Mini Suite at 6700 is worth it? (207 sq foot room and 124 sq foot balcony). We are going on the Escape this summer. Large Balcony on 9th floor and Mini Suite a few doors down from you.

Hey! We went on the escape in 2016 it was our first cruise and we loved it we are wanting to go again this year bc they are sailing to Bermuda they port 3 nights. Anywho i watched your video on the escape bc we still havent booked our room yet and we are wanting to sail next weekend june 24 for my bday. Do you have any tips or knowledge on when the prices go down or the best way to book and save money we’ve waited this long and the price still hasn’t dropped should i wait til a couple days before sail to book it its nerve racking not having anything booked yet. We are still so new to cruising this will be our 3rd .
We have found that if we pay a certain price for a cabin and the price goes down, before 90 days out (final Payment) we would get a price adjustment. After the 90 day cut off, and the price goes down, we would get On Board Credit, but we always had to call and "raise the roof" with a CS Agent to get it. However, booking this close to sailing, the price is the price and if there is no movement on the price, the sailing is probably close to being sold out. Happy Sailing.

For the key in the light switch thing, apparently putting a folded up piece of paper in there, will work instead of the room key. For those that like to leave their key on the lanyard or in your wallet. Never stayed in that room, but I've seen it done on different ships in other videos
Actually less wind than on the upper decks of the ship. I enjoyed the large balcony many times sunning or just taking an afternoon nap. I believe you will love it! Safe cruising!
This is a Mini Suite and the secret Deck 8 Mini Suites have biggest balconies on the ship. Mini Suites are bigger than the Balcony cabins and also have a huge bathroom.

That's a really small mini suite. I'd like to see what a regular a regular balcony looks like. That room is no different than a normal balcony on the Royal Caribbean.
That pretty much is a normal balcony but just a bit longer. I've understood it used to have a different name similar to balcony, but I guess the marketing people thought mini-suite sells better ;) That is why always check, check and check all the information before booking so you're not expecting something that doesn't exist.
There are two drawers under the bed, but they were both filled with blankets and pillows for the sofa bed pull out if used. The cube system is the best organization we have found that works on The Break/Get/Escape/Bliss
You can find them at Target or Walmart, they are in the closet storage sections, and they also have very lightweight cubes, lesser quality but they do the trick, at The Dollar Tree store. All you can also find online at the respective stores. Ours came from Target and they were Two for $8.00, 12x12 cubes and we got two 8x8 cubes, $5.00 which we use on the nightstands for our cell phones, tissues, water, to keep from rolling around should there be rough seas.
It would be really appreciated if u critic guys will show wat kinda life crew lives onboard cruise ships.. Show the real world to people the reality.... Would be really appreciated..

That is a bar to double hang your clothes such as shorts, blouses and shirts. Doubles the space in the closet if there aren't any long dresses etc.

Just on shore to shop, the stay is not long enough to enjoy the excursions, in our opinion.
