I remember watching this video 1.5 years ago, when I was taking 600-700 mgs of tramadol every single day. Now I’ve been clean for a year and five months! It took me three months to finally sleep normal. I also gained 20 lbs. but that’s fine. I have a stable, middle class job again and my life has improved so much! May God guide you all! 🙏

My mom was given tramadol when I was a small child. She was given a very high dose of it, and was expressly told it wasn’t addictive. It was touted for years as non addictive and some really dumb ass nurses and doctors still think it’s not addictive. It floors me when they say it and I have to set them straight. My moms doctor died, and no doctor would write her a prescription for them. She was a single mom raising two kids and now was in incredible excruciating pain. And that night, she felt super uncomfortable. She didn’t know why but she was sweating, her legs jumping. She’d sneeze, swallow, and sneeze again, over and over. She didn’t know what was wrong. Then when she found out she was withdrawing.. she was terrified. The doctor she went to didn’t really care, he didn’t trust them yet since they were so new (probably the wisest doctor, but cruel to make her go cold turkey). Just cut her off. She went through terrible withdraws and a few days in, a “friend” (not a friend) offered her some fentanyl patches. She denied them at first but actually had to come to a school function. She was withdrawing hardcore and in excruciating pain. She didn’t wanna make us miss this school function because she promised we could go. This “friend” kept insisting she should just use one of the fentanyl patches. She finally took one, and it helped. She got hooked to them and then it was any pills she could get. Then…..it was heroin. Thankfully I was still young when my mom got clean, just started middle school. But our lives were chaotic and terrible during those years. All because of a medication that was advertised as not addictive but is one of the most addictive ones.. I found out about my moms issues when I broke my arm and was prescribed them. The nurse said how they had no abuse potential and weren’t addictive and my mom SET HER ASS STRAIGHT. When we left the hospital I kept asking her about it. She told me finally. Honestly? ……I just fucking respect her for getting clean. I can’t blame her. She did what she needed to do and pulled it together.

God bless your mom!!! I totally understand. I had chronic bladder pain that absolutely made life unbearable. I had used so much Advil for it that I was getting stomach issues. My doctor prescribed Tramadol 50 mg 3 times daily and told me it was the safest drug there was. Safer than Advil he said. In the beginning it was a miracle drug for me and gave me energy. Within a year though I felt terrible. Woke up in the mornings and it took my first dosage to just make me feel able to barely even function. I used Kratom and 5 HTP to wean off very slowly. It is shameful that doctors cause this problem and then do nothing to help. You should be very proud of your mom. She sounds amazing!

I’m currently on a 5 day cold turkey tramadol detox. I recently got a seizure earlier this week due to tramadol. I was taking 21 100mg pills everyday and Monday June 24, 2024 was the last time I took a pill. It’s been a crazy detox week but I’ve been feeling a lot better as each day goes by. The worse thing has been the major insomnia the past couple nights but I’m still battling. I’m 25 years old and I know this is just part of my story to speak about with others who are going through this at a young age or in general.

@@St0n3ofNBM my withdrawals were chills, headaches, cold sweats, diarrhea, and I would have body aches too but the key is to keep yourself hydrated and keep yourself busy and have a supporting cast with you that will help you. I was off for a week from work and during that week my wife was a big help, she would make sure I had all my nutrients and vitamins to keep my body okay. We treated it like I just had a really bad cold. Once a week went by and I went back to work I started to feel better cause my mind was on work instead of my body and tramadol. My withdrawals only lasted for about 4-5 days. Once I went over to week 2 week 3 my body was doing okay except for sleeping. I had really bad insomnia and it irritated me so bad. I remember crying one night because my body was so tired but my brain wasn’t letting me sleep. What helped me with that was epsom salt baths. I would do one before bed everyday to get my body relaxed and I would take melatonin to help me. After about a couple of days I begin to sleep a couple of hours at least. You just have to keep going and have the mentality that everything is gonna get better you just have to get past the tough stages. After about 3 weeks I had like these zaps in my head that was like weird but again as time went on those went away. Stay strong man wing yourself off suboxone as well challenge your body to gain its health back.

I want to thank you so much for sharing your experience. I really related to what you were saying. I finally managed to get off tramadol. Weaned myself down to 50mg a day. And a week ago, I just took the jump and stopped. Is it difficult? Hell yes, especially the first 2 days off it. I still feel anxious and restless. A bit down. Not sleeping yet. But I needed to do this. I could keep taking them and my doc's solution was that I keep taking one capsule a day, in his opinion one capsule a day isn't going to hurt my body. But I know that since taking them I've become very disconnected and detached emotionally. It was like I didn't care about the things that were so important to me before. My brother first of all its glad to see you better. I was going on and off with tramadol due to back pain. 4 days ago on a friday i stop taking it cold turkey. I was only taking 1/2 a pill a day which its nothing compare to you... The first day i was driving to san diego and was up in the mountains. I was like 15 minutes away from the checkpoint and i began to have 10 different thoughts at once. I started sweating and felt like my heart was going to stop. I started screaming because it just felt better :(. I was thinking of parking and running to the boarder agents but i didnt want to make a scene. I decided to call my bf and told him i was having a panic attack. He began distracting me by talking about a random subject which works. Also drinking water works a lot. I threw up many times after eating meals and felt lile i was going to faint. I felt bipolar and just felt lile crying and just felt that no one understood me. Once i had enough i just took a COLD ASS SHOWER which triggered my brain to focus better. As i speak i still have a lil shaky moments and dry mouth and overthinking. Im doing better and im going to beat this challenge. Im just glad im not alone. I wish anyone reading this or watching this video that god is with you and helps you through this. Seek help if you need it. One love💙❤

Speaking from personal experience, if it starts with O and ends with piate, run as fast and as LONG as you can. Don't mess with kratom either. I'm just getting off a 3 year addiction to it. It hits the same receptors and causes the same type of acute and post withdrawals. The only time I would ever take an opiate again is if there was a major surgery or physical trauma involved that required a SHORT TERM (3 days at most) pain solution. Other than that, there's not a god damn chance that I would ever take opiates again. Good luck, everyone. Don't take kratom.

Agreed, do not take kratom, unless you are positive you have the self-control to take a very small amount, for a very short period of time. I have heard from people who had previously come off strong opiates or benzos, and said kratom was worse for them.

I use it in tea form just in case it is helping that few percent but i wouldnt worry too much about using it for tramadol withdrawal. One of the best things is to jump and wiggle about and just go out for a walk around the block at fast pace. The adrenalin or whatever exercise chemicals helps.

Any Tips? I have been taken Oxycontin for 8 years, and Tramadol the last 2 years, due to chronical back-pain. The pain will still be there, but I must get of this shit now in 2 weeks before my vaccation ends. It must stop because it ruins my life in so many ways. I´ve been slowly tapering down from 120md/day Ocy (equals to about 1200mg of Tramadol - IF I understand it correctly ....) The last 6 months I´ve been on 150mg Tramadol/day. When I lower I can´t sleep and my body just don´t accept a lower dose ..... Now I am quiting and into my 3rd day, and I have been taken one tablet of Citadon (Kodein 30mg and 500mg Paracetamol) just to get like 1-3 hours of sleep, since for me insomnia along with restless legs/body is the worst. I have all the common symptoms, but not that bad at all from hearing what other persons experience. The symptoms come in waves every 1-3 hours, but I have no problem managing it daytime. What are your proposals to proceed in the coming 1,5 weeks? Shall I just skip the Citadon (kodein transforms to an opioid in the liver) and try to survive 3-4 nights without any sleep? Or will my brain keept to adjust even if I take one Citadon at night, for a few more nights? The affect from the Citadon (resolved in water) last for about 3-4 hours, so I guess the rest of the time without any opioids, my brain will still slowly go through the withdrawls and get use to function without the tramadol? Thank you all for your help and support. I wish I could get every "doctor" that subscribe this evil shit to get addicted and than withdrawls, so they understand that i´ts an evil poison destroying your life slowly and make you suffer 24/7. I guess I have pulled out 4 teeth so far because of this shit! Many thanks, let´s keep going. Remember - Your life is Your journey make it worth it!

I’m a 67 year old British woman on tramadol for years but now only on 50mg daily and the only reason I’m on that dose is because the withdrawal is so so bad. This one capsule a day keeps withdrawal at bay and I’d rather take that than go through the debilitating effects of withdrawal. I’ve tried cutting it out but the fatigue, restless legs and general flu like feelings is something I won’t go through in order to ditch this capsule.
Much worse than giving up codeine which I did with very few effects.

I'm reading all these comments of people who managed to come out the other side of opioid WD and mention how they finally feel human again after so long, how freeing it is to not depend on ingesting a chemical into your body everyday or else the consequences are dire. I want to do the same but goddamnit the pain of WD is just so goddamn scary and so intense, if I were able to at least sleep through some of it I would consider but youre just stuck with the pain 24/7 for 2 weeks straight which doesn't sound like a long time but when youre in it, every single tick, every second that goes by feels like an hour.
I just wanna feel normal again, it isnt fun constantly swinging between feeling alright, then feeling like im on the edge of wellness and sickness, then being scared if I dont have any money or any boy to hold me....honestly i was going to perma ban myself from this server if it werent for the opioids and how good they felt, now its gotten to the point where the opioids are the reason I wanna ban myself again.

This is how I did it and I only felt bad for about 3 days until the doom and gloom went away. I also ate very healthy, worked out, and got plenty of sun during this process. You gotta go slow but steady with this medication, it should be treated like an antidepressant.

@ 3, one in the morning, one afternoon and one bedtime. I’ve been on tramadol for 13 years now but take as needed and have stuck to this amount now for the last 7 or 8 years. It’s for a couple of chronic pain conditions that I have as a disability. Tbh, I’ve never thought of stopping taking them as they’re so effective and cut my pain by 50%. But I have started to wonder what my “real” pain levels are without tramadol, and want to go on this journey. I have begun to research and prepare, and am very aware of the mild antidepressant effects that will complicate coming off.
