Thanks, Dave. I enjoy the operations and figuring out how the best way to do the moves are. The best way isn’t always the fastest figuring in other factors such as grade crossings, car placement in trains, etc. it may not be for everyone but all my future layouts will be point to point centered around switching. Stay safe and thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for another well done video. It was very enjoyable to watch after this mornings breakfast of pancakes and coffee. Happy New Year Thom! May 2022 be happy, healthy and prosperous for you and your family. Stay safe!
Thanks for the New Years Wishes. It’s been interesting here in Kentucky so far. Several snow storms, cold temps ( 8 this morning), and of course the challenge of staying healthy. In its heyday, Oak Hill was a busy place. A friend told me that they pulled 52 boxcars of bricks on a Friday once when the 5 brick factories were in operation. I’ll bet it was a smoky place, too! A single locomotive couldn’t have pulled that train! Stay safe, update video coming tomorrow!
Thanks for the feedback. I agree myself. 10-15 minutes are ideal. I will go slightly over if I need to complete something for a good flow into the next one, but try not to. Stay safe!
Thom, very well done 👍
I'm looking forward to more in 2022.

Well, you’ll get part 2 tomorrow, Rich! Layout is pretty torn up at the moment ballast it, so hopefully I can get to part 3 sometime soon! Stay safe!
Outstanding. And appreciate showing the uncoupling and switching. I begin to understand the point to point allure.

Do you still use the N Scale Rix Pick now?
Yes I do. I have broken a couple of them but I think they are easier to use (for me) than skewers.
@thomplacier677 Thanks. I think it is time to order a couple of them hehehe
