Hi, thanks for this video. I have one question for you. When I connect DJI Mic 1 to my Samsung phone via USB C and I want to play my recorded video (for my control) then the phone detects DJI mic as the headphones and I am not able to hear audio when video is playing. Are you able to help me whether this can be solved somehow? Thank you in advance for your respond.
2 mics, stereo (+internal backup recording just in case) gain depends on how loud the people talk etc. Be aware that you will get some bleed from person a into person b. I would also do as separate recording on an audio recorder or your phone as an extra backup. :) :)
Can anyone help me my DJI Mic is only recording through channel 1 on my Sony A6400 so there is no audio on one of the headphones when you listen to the video.
Great video! It happened to record and mono is there a way to separate the two receivers onto separate audio channels, or are they baked in to the footage for good?
They are baked into the footage I'm afraid so unless you recorded internally on the 2 transmitters you are stuck - unless you can find an AI tool to separate different people's voices in a mono track.
I had a GoPro and 3 of their crappy adapters and MANY microphones. Could not get noise out of all the variations. I really want to produce content. Dropped some serious money on a full DJI setup. Just waiting on the microphones to ship from DJI. I can't wait. I've done some time lapse videos and quick clips with the action 3 and love the camera. Can't wait to get the microphones so I can get to creating. Really impressed with DJIs offerings. Next I will get a DJI drone.

Glad to help Jayne :) You could plug the out from the receiver into and amp/speaker for the class to hear you but you would probably run into problems with feedback where the mic picks up the sounds from the speaker and then creates a nasty sounding feedback loop.
Is your gain staging correct? Shouldnt the source closest to your mouth (TX) be the highest it can be with clipping the RX, and the lowest on the last chain (camera)...
Hello! Great video thank you! I’ve used this system with my Fuji X-T4. I’ve adjusted the external mic volume in the camera down until it’s safely out of the red and I’ve needed to turn down receiver gain to -8 to avoid clipping. Then, in Premiere Pro, I have to raise the audio track +6 decibels to keep dialogue around -12 on the audio monitor. When I export the video with audio, it’s SO quiet! Any tips??
Thanks! If the dialog sounds fine at -12 when you are editing in Premiere but when you export it it sounds really quiet then it's either an export setting problem or a possible bug in Premiere

Since audio preamps on cameras aren’t that great increasing the audio level would introduce more noise no? Don’t you want to increase the gain on the mics instead?
Yes and if you max out the receiver gain setting and you signal is still too low in camera then you would need to increase camera preamp gain (or try and raise it in post)
Does the receiver have to be plugged into a camera or recording device to record? Can you record just using the dji mic and receiver then later down load the recorded audio from the receiver to my computer or iPad for attaching it to video using iMovie?

Both mics are showing up fine on the receiver and recording fine etc on the screen but just not transferring over to the receiver? What am I doing wrong??? Or do I have a dodgy receiver??? Hi Aaron - the receiver doesn't record audio - you need to connect the receiver to a camera with the audio cable - the audio then gets recorded by the camera in the video file.

I have tested it on iPhone xr, one plus and canon mach 2 but there is no sound in video but the receiver is picking up sound as sound waves r reflecting. Wot might be the issue. Plz help
Hi Ratnesh, if the receiver is showing sound bars then it is probably the audio cable that goes from the receiver to the camera or the mic volume setting in the camera set to zero. You should also check the receiver gain setting on the receiver to make sure it is not set very low. If you have tried direct connect to an iPhone using the lightening adapter and there is still no sound then you may have a faulty unit - try a different audio cable and check your camera settings and if it still does not work you should probably contact DJI support.

Is this the case for you and everyone else? And you are supposed to mix the audio and the video together on editor? or we should be able to hear the audio on the video file?
@@JasonRobertsVideo looking forward to it
@@deemayannimaat … the transmitting wires you are using . One is for the receiver to phone and the other is from camera to receiver . If you missed them up it won’t have any audio . Kindly check those Trx things .
@@JoshConnectMedia Thank you so much :)
Can you setup a DJI Mic to a PA or Club audio system.
In theory - yes - though you would have to make sure the you convert and signals to mic level signals that the transmitters expect or you could damage them
Thank you so much!
You're welcome! No worries :) :)
The hot shoe adapter has the display backwards. The readout should be in the back not the front for monitoring
You can have it either way around depending on what you are doing
This is excellent
Thanks so much! :)
Anyone know if it’s possible to add a 3rd mic?
I don't think so Hamza - you could possibly use a 3rd mic and just use the internal recording not the wireless
Ordered and paid for mine on December 11th 2021 and still waiting... What difference would it make how good a product is if I never receive it!
There were delays with mine too.
Are you really still waiting? I ordered mine from Walmart on Saturday and its shipped today/ getting to my house on in 2 days
@@Desertluxegroup ended up piccking one up from B&H and cancelled order with locoal shop. Then the next day I get an email from local shop saying they actually shipped it out to me and can no longer cancel the order... Now I have two. lol! I guess the suddenly found one after I asked to cancel the order
trying to figure out if I can lock the button on the transmitters. I record local while using receiver with camera. I dont wanna accidentally touch the Record button and stops my local recording.
Check out this vid to lock the record and also auto start local recording: th-cam.com/video/BzDeEX0WEvY/w-d-xo.html
@@JasonRobertsVideo Thanks for the reply! Yea, I totally forgot to check firmware. After the update its working great.
@@jensenjiang That great :)
My DJI Mic Mobile Phone Adapter (Lightning) snapped in 1/2!! How do you replace it? :(
Hi Rich - probably need to contact DJI support
@@JasonRobertsVideo I called them three times! They always promise someone will get back to me and it never happens. Good products but Horrible customer service! 🥹
@@RichScott :(
