    Heartwork. That is where you want to start with Carcass. Surgical Steel I feel is underrated too, which was their last album. Kick-ass band who is about to come out with another EP soon called "Despicable".

    The album Heartwork is a masterpiece. For the time the quality of production was years ahead of other bands

    Annihilator is my alltime favourite thrash band. The singer on that clip was Randy Rampage. RIP. Any reactions to them gets my 👍

    I love this album! Carcass is so talented! Though this era of carcass was corporate rock..Still as good as other well known bands.. The earlier you go the harder you get! Weather hard and raw or clean and pristine it's all beautiful!

    I LOVE this album, but so many of these tracks share a resemblance to "Unsung" by Helmet.

    It's a play on Neil Young's "Keep on Rockin in the Free World" which you should check out. It's not metal, but it does have some life to it, I think you will dig it. 90's protest song.

    I love that album for what it is. Carcass just rocking out for a bit. But wait untill you get to Heartwork T. That is real Carcass and you will love it.

      Wellwellwell, one could maybe say that Necrotism or even SoS is, or at least was, more "real" Carcass, butt I guess that´s more an opinion (..of old faart :-D)

    My favourite Carcass era is earlier but all their albums are good. Pyosisified is good though it's a much earlier and gory version of them. Bloody brilliant band, they make me proud to be British.

    Great review , your hitting the nail on the head on the sonics but I wouldn't give up on this as I love this album . This was carcass big break on a big label and they cut their sound down from their extreme past . I would check out anything of Heartwork album to get the full sound

    Out of all the songs... That one? Embodiment. Rot N Roll, captive bolt pistol.

    Spoil Engine - The Hallow featuring Jeff Walker of Carcass.
    They're a female fronted melodic death metal band from Belgium with a punk attitude. Vocalist Iris Goessens can growl with the best. I've requested this band on a few channels but so far no takers.

    Awesome - thank you for sharing - for another amazing Death n' Roll band from the 90's check out Gorefest - songs off of the top of my head 'Freedom' , 'The River' or 'Chapter 13' - good times :)

      @vopy48 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or even better would be to go directly to Originators of That sound, Xysma and their great Yeah-album from 1991...which was soonish followed by Entombed´s Wolverine Blues on 1993 and then those others like Gf and C in the mid-90´s. :-)

    In my opinion that‘s not the best carcass song for a first listen it‘s nice but you should react to songs from their album ,,heartwork“ that‘s a death metal masterpiece

    Great song, there are a many more you can indulge. Try CATHEDRAL next. Groovy but heavy, very different sound in the metal genre

  • @Bucketbothead007
    @Bucketbothead007 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah, sound is low. This album is like their "Black Album" & my fave song on it is Black Star. Killer riffage in Black Star, wish that song was a couple minutes longer. I'm guessing something off of Heartwork might be next, I'd go with Blind Bleeding the Blind.

    I'm guessing this is a take on "Keep on rockin' in the free world." I hear the melody, but so far off enough to be it's own thing...

  • @sentenced03

    yeah not a good first listen for carcass. its a lot catchier than most of Their stuff. literally anything off heart work would be better (this mortal coil is my personal favorite) but yeah there is a lot better carcass out there.
