June was my biggest distance month -900km. Elevation was September- 10500 meters - had a week in the Dolomites there - not built for the hills but loved it there - can’t wait to go back next year 👊
I was wandering if you were going to mention the Maratona….😅 Agree with you an amazing event, amazing roads, scenery and perfect weather Biggest climbing month was June at 12,500 meters Chapeau to you what an amazing year you had
55,192m in July. Round about 48;000m of that in a 10 day Cent Cols Challenge event. Riding in Portugal with you and the Alpcycles crew in May was good preparation for it 😀
Climbed the most - May 18,110m as i was in the Pyrenees. It was also the time i crossed 3000m+ in a single ride for the first time. Pretty good year for me with 141,458m climbed / 13,145km in 254 days active in 534hrs.
@@edlaverack thanks that means a lot coming from yourself. If i have the legs this year i want to try and crack a 4000m day for the first time. Not bad for a full time working guy in his late 40's.
Hi ed, another great video. Hope your well after your recent illness. You seemed to have bounced back quite well. Still early days but 350 threshold is still high. Have you ever experienced your heart rate shoot through the roof for example your threshold used to be 170bpm for 320w but now even 275w is at 170bpm and even z3 power causes high hr ?
350 could be an overestimation but it could be accurate if my time to exhaustion is relatively short, say 30-40min. The only times I have seen numbers go like how you are saying is when someone is coming back from prolonged time off the bike. But I’m assuming you aren’t?
Just a question, how would you compare this comeback to the one of January 2021? Really interested to hear. Most metres of climbing was December as I did an Everesting on NYD. Also did my longest ride last Saturday of 12.5 hours (cold but dry and had a great time with friends).
2023 was a bit of a disaster overall due to lack of fitness, injuries and bouts of food poisoning. Most hours on the bike was September, highest mileage and elevation was April. Hoping 2024 will be much better. 🙂

Those are some big numbers Greg! Congrats on the 3000m ride, can’t remember the last time I did one that big!

January and April were the most climbing months for me, as i was in small traning camps in calpe and Portugal respectively.😅
Ooo Calpe and Portugal!
October was my biggest month 10,000m. I had just started structured training, mixture of Zwift and local roads.
10k is satisfying!
September was the biggest for everything. Training for the hill climbs. Plus was commuting a lot to work
Imagine if you’d ridden home from Porlock 😂
@@edlaverack don’t tempt me. I literally have a route ready and waiting.😂 Ive done it before, 100mile ride home after Widecombe hill climb last season
Biggest climbing months Jan and Dec indoor thanks to FRR tours

Zwifted 8200 Metres Ascent Last November. Mostly down to doing the 7500 Metre Ascent monthly Strava challenge.
Blasted it!
👍

Here’s hoping too Chris!
