What an amazing girl! Not only did she break the world record in planking (which I'm sure is extremely difficult), she is very intelligent and is a really great and confident public speaker. Way to go, Gabi! :)
Despite her physical difference from the other people, she didn't mind it. She learns to be just herself and does whatever it takes to live the life she desires. Really inspiring young lady. God bless her :)
And America sure could use a lot more of that. The country is sick in some ways and great in other ways. People like her would be a great contrast to for example people like Donald Trump.
YOU are truly a beautiful soul.... I share my happy tears for you have touched my heart with your great inspirational story!!! Continue to follow your passion for life! Never give up and nor shall I...for life is our own personal journey! :-)
I completely relate to her. I am 15, and I have 3 diseases. I grew up going in and out of hospitals. People ask me "what is it like?" I always tell them the same thing. I don't know any different.
So I have done about 30 professional lectures on various topics, why mention this? Because when I say this charming young lady has that magic (love when I see/hear it) I want to say you can inspire , you can help, you can...endless possibilities. Thank you for your words and heart.
this helped me lots, i always thought i was the laziest person alive, so i searched on youtube "whats wrong with me?" and saw this video and now ummmm whats wrong with me? absolutely NOTHING!!!!! i'm possible thanks Gabi Ury for sharing your inspiring story i greatly appreciate it, wow she is so articulate. thank you Tedx for giving her the stage i think now i can work on myself starting today...... now # i'm possible
Gabi is absolutely incredible and she has so many great qualities! Its wonderful that she has this opportunity to be able to inspire others! (I know Gabi has had it tremendously harder than I will ever have it but I wanted to say Gabi is inspiring not only because she is determined and ready to tackle anything and everything but she also never let any part of the disability she was given dictate how she would tackle life she really is inspiring to me as a premie because I always thought I couldn't do something or people warned me not to do something risky because it could hurt my health and all but I wished I could have been like gabi and I truly hope people like her are somewhere inspiring others like she inspired me :)
"Nothing is impossible" A Wonderful speech! A Wonderful life lesson! You have proved that you can do it. It is great that you took a challenge and achieved it. The most important part that I like your deeds is you donated the money to the place which deserved it. On the other hand, you see everything as a blessing.
Gabi: Yeah!!!! I am a friend of your Aunt Elizabeth, and I took care of your wonderful little Havanese in my art studio one day. In fact, I fell in love with her. And now, you too...your wonderful spirit. The two of you belong together! With love and appreciation, Miriam Ellingson
Thank you for sharing your inspirational and healing journey Gabi! What a joyful presence and empowering attitude. You go girl! We can all reach for the stars if we believe!
What an amazing girl. She has such an amazing attitude about her disorder, and lets nothing stand in her way. She has already accomplished more in her short 16 yrs for herself and others, then most do in a lifetime.
Awesome speech!!!!!!! Very inspiring! Her physical disability didn't stop her from reaching up to the best, and she kept trying eve. through people's doubts, or when others didn't believe in her. She believed in herself, and made a name for herself. Well done, Gabi, I hope you are content with your life. :)
I held a plank for over 30 minutes in my athletics when I was 13 - it was a competition and it was down to me and another girl, and so the other girls friends (the popular girls) decided to come and grab my legs and pull me. I ended up with gym burns on my elbows but remained in plank. I have in when a girl stoop ONTOP of me, was kicking and yelling which still didn't get for me, but being extremely closer-phonic I couldn't stand it so I got up and pushed her off of me Moral of the story - middle schoolers are jerks
Btw I'm not saying I'm strong or anything like that I was 13 so I was light and also had good upper body strength and core strength at that age due to gymnastics and ballet
i talk to myself a lot. a few weeks ago, contemplating the direction my life is taking right now (laid off at end of October, it's now been over 2 months), i said to myself "if it wasn't for the vertigo, i would still be working at Hexcel"..... and now I'm handing out business cards (that i ordered from vistaprint 3 years ago), updating my resume in anticipation of some career changes, and removing clutter from my home office. i stopped myself when i heard those words come out, and i'm still contemplating what this all means. it was kinda nerve wracking at first, wondering how I'm gonna pay rent, etc, but in that moment of confusion over the words i mindlessly uttered, i realized that I do myself no favors trying to find something to blame. if i choose a negative mindset, i will miss out on so many of life's opportunities. i decided to stop defining success by anyone's standards including my own "The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.." Proverbs 16:9
What an amazing girl! Not only did she break the world record in planking (which I'm sure is extremely difficult), she is very intelligent and is a really great and confident public speaker. Way to go, Gabi! :)

Really inspiring young lady. God bless her :)
"You can do anything" - such inspiring and powerful words!
I'm not disagreeing with the quote in any way, but that's not an original quote... people say that all the time.
i think it was sarcasm lol
isabella sarcasm is hard to detect in text.
God, she is so so cute, smart, funny and positive. I look up to her.
Jelena Delibasic
same here
i can't believe she's only 16th- seem a lot older. very inspirational
Her courage is SO beautiful. She radiates spiritual warmth like a beacon of light offering hope to a world that is too often struggling to see.
In a honest society, people like her would be the leaders
And America sure could use a lot more of that. The country is sick in some ways and great in other ways. People like her would be a great contrast to for example people like Donald Trump.
could Donald Trump do the plank for 20 seconds. let alone 1 hr 20 mins, I doubt it
Antonio Quiroga i
As sweet as the sentiment is, it's the type of thinking that saw entire societies collapse.
She is so inspiring. (And adorable.) And she'll get better at delivering speeches as she gets older, as we all do.
Dahlia Walton 5
She did a wonderful job considering her age. 👏
