Battlefield 1 - The RSC SMG Optical/Factory (2021)

An SMG that excels in a 1-on-1 fight, but starts struggling as soon as more enemies join the fray. Or you miss your shots. In a shocking twist, I think I may actually prefer the optical variant to the factory. The sights bounce, but the low rate of fire doesn't make it nearly as distracting as on other weapons.
It's not the Chauchat, but it's a French weapon that has 'Chauchat' in its name. Happy Bastille Day!

Yeah, more compact maps with fewer players seems to be this weapon's ideal situation. And thanks! Someone's got to do it, and the AA rocket gun really is a great tool for the job.

Same. Kicking all over the place, unreliable hipfire, and a middling magazine. So many times I'm caught with my pants down reloading because some guy I didn't see just... turned up!

nothing about this makes sense, it was supposed to be a firing port weapon then why does it only have 9 bullets, and it's a rifle why is the damage drop-off so pathetic, they should have made it closer to a medic rifle with high damage and range but bad recoil because it's niche of a close range destroyer is filled by the automatico. I'm guessing it's to stop people switching to semi auto and sniping with it.

Thanks! I don't think it's necessarily a bad weapon, just one that really only excels in select situations. But then, an overspecialised weapon could be construed as a bad one!

It's not the skillcannon, it's tryhard gun.
In my 300+ hours I met only 1 player who killed me with this weapon (3 times in a match), and I always saw him in killcam getting killed while he's reloading.

@@N0S0R0G312 People can have opinions bro, depending on how skilled the player is, they can do good with it, I got like 30 something or 40 something kills with it in one match with the Optical variant. If you think it's bad that's fine, but don't be hating on other people for liking it, got a problem with it? Deal with it man, it's not that hard.
