I originally placed a pre-order for Ultra. But I cancelled it and placed a pre-order for Watch 7. I like the 7 because it looks more like a classic dress watch, which appeals to me. Both watches have the same biosensors. I am not a professional athlete and I was put off by the squricle design. Samsung offered a great trade in on my Classic 4 so it's $87 out of pocket with the trade in. I think it was a better choice than $300 for the Ultra which wouldn't offer me anything extra I would need with the exception of the longer battery life.
Ultra has better screen brightness, better speakers , and a dual microphone instead of 1. It has a bigger battery. There is a bezel on the screen that will protect it from scratches. Has better built quality to protect from scratches. Above all, because of bezel , it is very easy to use digital rotating, as the protuding will act as a guide to finger. That's why I ordered ultra, but if these r not big deal, then watch 7 is no brainer, same processor but way lower price.
Bought the 44mm lte version of the watch 7. Great display,classic looks and decent battery life( i get at least 2 days with aod off and i track my sleep every night

Nice comparison. I was initially quite tempted by the Ultra but thinking about my use case it seems the Watch 7 44mm will be perfect for me!

There is only the lte model for the ultra. No bluetooth only version

Classic is ever other year, it goes classic, pro classic pro or in this case it went classic, ultra. There should be a classic 8 next year.
