I'm your 4,200k Subscriber :) Enjoyed the input. Releasing my second app. I've worked on my website for the past 5 years. I will say, it takes a lot of time, dedication & patience. Social media marketing is key!
Well I released the app April 30th 2017,after relentless freehand social marketing, I just received a congratulating e-mail today stating, my app just ranked #1 for auto & vehicles in the united states! Link Here: facebook.com/Nthefastlane/
"If you're watching this video in 2017, and right now is the end of 2015, this video is probably out-of-date." - 5:47 Nope, it's still true in 2017. You were right about everything in this video, except that prediction.
hi, i see all of your weekly videos totally admire to work you are doing here on youtube you people make this place a lot better man.And your willingness to help others is admirable.keep up the good work dude its totally cool
Hey Eric, great video as usual. Suggestion: I think you could make a video on user retention. I mean, you could talk about how to make users not want to uninstall our apps. You could tell us about your experience and maybe share some figures, I will be glad to share mine. Thanks!
Hey Eric thank for you videos and continue posting them for soo long, I am watching from 2018 and I start to develop an simple app with firebase and want to put it online. Just to feel how the things goes. Thanks for your advices
+theblazer Actually, I have a couple of apps that make over $1 a day-- out o the many I have. One makes over $100 a day. Most of them make much less, though. Like I said, it's getting so much more difficult. $1 a day is very optimistic-- that's true. I WISH they only costed me $50! -- it's much more. To me, it feel more like drilling for oil -- sometimes I strike . . . but mostly I don't.
so for android i thought you could release as many appsas you wanted but they would take a royalty, so is apple different? like does apple make you pay for each app on the store?
They both work the same way, actually. Both take 30%. Google is a little nicer because you just pay something like $25 (it might be more now) to get a developer account and that's it. Apple developer account costs $99 a year and you have to renew each year or they remove your apps. You can have as many as you want.
I knew it was hard to get downloads and people to use or pay for your app, but to put in so much money only to have a slight chance to hit the goldmine... thats crazy. I could be playing Bingo instead! Lot less painful
+Erlend Hatlem Ha ha! That's perfect. I love that! But I suppose that any product has similar odds. The luck is improved the more you focus on getting the word out. I see a lot of shops open and close because owners expect people to just wander in. The app market is like that. People expect their apps to be found . . . but it usually takes more work than that.
+Overpass You are right. You are a great motivator and teacher. And I am new in this business. I wish I did start out earlier, but as you said its still possible to be noticed.
Hi sir, iam working in a gaming company, but we r in startup. e get 20 downloads per day by our friwends circle. how to get more downloads ? pls give suggestions to me. i saw more videos of ur series. BUT i cant found, how to get more downloads for android games?
I think the reason why people don't make money with apps because they don't treat it like a real business.
+GexMob Yeah, that's true.
that's true
Your videos are realistic. You talk practical. Great video!.. Thank you time and again, Eric.

+Nthefastlane Thank you!!!! I was skeptical of social media marketing at first and it took a while to start getting better at it but I agree.

+Morten Schouenborg Thanks Morten.
I am watching this app late in 2018, no its not out of date totally but it would be a good one to update.
Awesome videos!
+Cesar Paguada Thanks, Cesar.

Thanks for your advices
My mindset is to put out 1000 games into the App Store. If each game averages just $1 a day in adds that'll be a nice chunk of change
+Devonte Weston Lets say each game costs $50 to develop which is extremely low and will likely never make $1 in its lifetime. $50 x 1000= $50,000.

I AGREE WITHE THE "DRILLING FOR OIL" COMPARISON XD

Funny I'm watching this in 2017 and it's still valid
It's probably much worse :) I have 0-5 installs / day :) I wish I knew this before getting into appdev

So It has been 6 months now, did you achieved more download if did than how?
Well we might need an update on "end of easy app money" in 2019, what do you think ? :)
Hmmm. It's still difficult, but not impossible.
You know what they say. Those who do do those who can't teach.
Thanks Ted Cruz
What? You think I look like Ted Cruz? It's an old video-- I lost a little bit of weight ;-)
