    I've only made one app for iOS (in ionic) for my previous boss but even having only Android apps most of them are made with hybrid technologies so that when I can afford it I will port them....

    I'm agree. Analytics says most of the traffic comes from Google (75%) but income is mostly from App Store compared the traffic. I'm having almost same proportional numbers, (though my income is lot less from the moment)

    Thanks, Eric. Our company's answer:
    2016 -> It's Android by 20%. Historically -> It's iPhone.
    iPhone still rocks for ARPU, Sales (Pro/IAPs), & Advertising ePCM. But Android just has the greater market share, more users and thus revenue from Android is better.

    • @OverpassApps
      @OverpassApps  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bastawa. I actually look at games and am amazed by how well they use in-app purchases. One thing I have not done, but would like to start, is to use coins that can be earned or purchased. Or to use consumable IAPs. That's the only way I can think of . . .

    Interestingly tough business by the looks of it. Could you outline the payment system of both Android and Apple. How long do they take to pay, do the payments need to be audited and have you had payment problems with either of them. Thx

    What do you think about Shopify App platform? A video would be great if you have any experience on Shopify. I am currently doing some research and planning to create my first APP for Shopify platform. Business users tend to spend a lot more for useful tools and it's also not as crowded as the Android and iOS platform at this point.

    • @OverpassApps
      @OverpassApps  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Shopify is a good platform if you can get it to work well. But, you can also code your app so that it can one-day support Woocommerce (and future shops) too.

    I started with Android only apps back in 2010, but started also making IOS versions 2 years ago. I still don't have IOS versions of some of my apps. So my IOS revenue is naturally much lower, but here's my stats for September:
    Downloads:
    IOS: 232
    Android: 20,816
    Admob:
    IOS: 11,030 impressions, $1.18 RPM, $13.04 earnings
    Android: 323,571 impressions, $1.22 RPM, $395.50 earnings
    (note, usually my RPM is higher, around $2, but has been low the last few months.)
    Some Chartboost and Appbrain revenue, but too low to count.
    No real IAP or paid apps revenue to speak of.

      XdebugX Games Either or, haha. Joking, no the comment was directed towards you, I'm extremely serious about programming and app development via Android Studios or just Java/Eclipse IDE. I've already been through the basics for the most part, I'm still shredding through my Java dev beginners book at the moment, I just wish I had more experienced people within the field to communicate with/ aspire to.

    • @xdebugxDotNet
      @xdebugxDotNet 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certificial Thanks, I'm a decent programmer but I don't follow many of the best practices myself lol. I'm more of a spaghetti code type programmer. I don't really have the time to tutor anyone either, but may be able to make some. Email me at xdebugx@gmail.com and we can talk about it if nothing else.

    Hi Eric. Thanks for the video.
    I would like to ask one thing about AdMob.
    My admob account has been terminated, not sure due to the high ctr or some other cause.
    So, can I use any other person admob account with my same app, by simply replacing the publisher Id and adunit id?
    Are there any issues?
    Thanks

    important stats Eric thanks ، free apps make thing easier for me I think the googleplay powerful and have active users I uploaded some apps with them and it's profitable than apple because the quantity althoughi am still new with itunes not a big picture yet but don't feel much happy about impressions and revnue ... but I hate working with google they make it complicated and susspend our accounts and they make me neverus even with no mistake I don't grantee anywork on long term with them Wth pay other's mistakes. that's why I quit google play

    • @OverpassApps
      @OverpassApps  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did about 14 apps in 2 month i think less or more 2 of them get refused according to copyright although I'm using 100% free or paid graphic and I think if I get the 3rd alert my account will get locked. the revenue still coming from googlplay in way better even than apple store because so much volume. I don't know google always frustrated for me. doing long and safe business with them is mystery

    Hi Eric, great video.
    I just started monetizing my apps.
    I'm betting a lot on rewarded interstials. Have you already tried them?
    Could you share with us what's the percentage of your users which click on adds?
    I mean clicks/users.
    Thanks a lot.

    • @OverpassApps
      @OverpassApps  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm using rewarded interstitial videos a little bit. I'm using Vungle on my language games (but getting no real return there . . . it's terrible).
      And I'm using AppLovin on Ear Spy. That's doing pretty good, but no where near the normal interstitials.

    • @OverpassApps

      +abhishek jain Of course, but it depends on how you code it. If you use a framework or platform that allows compilation to both platforms, you can put it in both places. Most of my apps are on both, but I can't add some of them because they are in Native Android
