    I put 2.4 Forekasters front and rear on my bike and I’m really liking them. Only minor difference is that I went with dual compound on the rear and 3C Max Terra on the front. Part tire, part luck and probably part skill, but I cleaned a techy climb on them that I had never done in my previous 7 years of riding.

    • @NickandKatieMTB
      @NickandKatieMTB  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That sounds like a great combo! I think I'd really like moving this Forekaster to the front and running a dual compound one out back so I can get a little more loose. The 3C Max Terra is grippier than I hoped for actually haha Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! 🤙

    My favorite tire comb on my Stumpy Evo is the 2.6 Rekon front and 2.4 Rekon rear, both 60tpi, DC(dual compound). Rolls fast, hooks up well, very durable, affordable.

      @@marksandoval5361 that makes sense. It’s crazy how many factors play a part. That’s why I continue running Maxxis. Really trying to figure out their tire line before jumping around. Takes a lot of dialing in to find something that works optimally!

    I bought these about 3 weeks ago for my front and back wheels. I busted the rear wheel a week ago. I don't really like them cos they're not really suitable for the terrain I'm riding...they kinda suck in damp/wet terrain. They're really good in dry conditions though.

    Hi there.
    I just bought a used 2017 Scott Spark 960 and it came with V1 wire bead Forekasters front and rear. The thing is that the tires are quite at the end of their life and I'd like to buy the new Forekaster but I'm not sure if the 2.40WT of the new FK will fit on my syncros x23 23" rim.
    Can u give me some piece of advice?

    Hi, thanks for the video. I’m actually use the rekon rear and dissector on front. The rolling resistance of rekon is good, but I think that had some problems in traction.
    What do you think of comparison of rolling resistance between forekaster 2 and rekon?

    • @NickandKatieMTB
      @NickandKatieMTB  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! Thanks for watching! I'd say the Forekaster is going to have more traction than the Rekon but it's at the cost of a bit of rolling speed. The side knobs on the Forekaster are noticeably more aggressive than the ones on the Rekon but so are the center knobs. Hope this helps!

  • @MichauxGravityRiders
    @MichauxGravityRiders 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @NickandKatieMTB
      @NickandKatieMTB  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just have to proceed with caution on wet wooden features like that. 99% of the time I’m riding dirt or rocks so tires like these work great. Studded tires may be used when riding in very specific conditions like on ice. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! 🤙
