@@josemorales5117 I think he's talking about a character in some video game, check out the screen name. Other than that, have no idea who this person is talking about. Do go on sir.

+Hemant Karasala this was tv gold! what are you talking? Bill was the one throwing childish insults seriously, i still don't know who the heck is "Steve"
+Hemant Karasala What insults? I'm genuinly curious what you thought Stephen said that was insulting? Because I did hear references to 'cave men' and 'intellectually embarassing', but those weren't coming from him? In fact, he tried to explain that he didn't think Maher and him were all that different, but it was Maher who said 'opposites' because apparently religion trumps everything else...
+Kikifoun Unui Only a filthy liberal like Colbert would bring on anti-moral, anti-religion, anti-god, bigot like Bill Maher... AFTER THE TRAGEDY IN PARIS! Colbert should be suspended!!
Stephen Colbert is a Genius, Bill maher didnt like him n thought stephen wouldn't understand politics but wow stephen Made it funny and never let Bill put him down , great Interview 😀
Its Me Colbert Report was nothing but politics for almost a decade and Stephen was(maybe still is) under Jon Stewart, so it's is very unlikely Maher thinks Colbert doesn't know about politics. Both are liberal but doesn't mean they agree on all subjects. Religion was one of them.
This is what sets Colbert and Stewart apart from Bill Maher the first two never took themselves too seriously while still being able to satire serious subjects, Maher cares too much about winning the argument to his own satisfaction and gives no room to us the audience to figure it out for ourselves
+Yankee Drummer Thank you, you nailed it. Whomever doesn't need to be right ends up looking more secure and centered. Being an open minded bigot its a contradiction and Maher does end up looking very angry.
+Yankee Drummer Stephen is probably used to being on the losing end of the argument, being religious. So there's that. Maher is def a much poorer host though, no doubt.
+GamonKills It doesn't have to end for there to be a losing side. It's 'losing' side, not 'lost' side. The positive claim has to do the proving. No one has ever come even a little close to proving god. The religious side is the losing side.
+Night Guy That sounds like a sweeping generalization, especially given that there's roughly 4,200 religions in the world, and over 80% of the world's population claims to practice some kind of faith. I'm not saying religion makes people better or worse, but if you're going to suggest that all "religious" people are self-aggrandizing, the numbers suggest you're wrong. That is, unless 80% of the world's population actually ARE selfish twats, in which case, you've made a surprisingly astute observation, and bravo.
+cerniglia65 Yeah I'm a bit tired of it myself, but I get why it would be a decent starting point for a conversation with someone like Maher. I read it as an easy way out of a sensitive question. I'm curious just how much of this interview aired on live TV.
+cerniglia65 its not a stupid thing for a rational...besides, i think atheists fall for the same fallacy as theists, if you cant prove god exists you can also not prove god doesnt exist...so the only rational thing is being agnostic...
+nemesis7884 The amount of claims that could never be proven is infinite. With anything other than god, you would probably dismiss it outright then forget about it, and it wouldn't be irrational in doing so as such claims aren't worth worrying about. Nobody would ever consider themselves a tooth fairy agnostic.
+Jerry Vang What Stephen did was essentially bullying an old person for being slow :| And it's not like he was slow because he is slow. That's his delivery style.
I don't know if this was a "fight" But I think what happened is both of these guys are excellent political comedians and both are unused to sharing the stage with each other. Colbert in interviews is great exposing people who he has interviewed in the past for the inability to reason or making them look stupid. Well you can't do that to Bill Maher! And what really happened here wasn't because Maher is not religious and Stephen "Steve" is its because they have different comedic styles that don't really mesh well Stephen is all about subtle exposure and Maher is about shock. Both are great styles in their correct environment but they can't be used on each other. These men probably agree on near 100 percent of issues. Maher goes after Catholicism Colbert says he is not very good at it. See that's funny but Maher does not engage in playful banter and Colbert is not used to someone who doesn't or when they don't he is used to making the person "look stupid" which again he can't do with Bill Maher. So that means that Colbert comes across like he is being attacked or at least challenged when he isn't That's just the way Maher talks. This was really a "battle for attention" and a clash of conflicting comedic styles like both were vying for the attention of the audience to laugh at their chosen style of humor. I am sure after examining what happened both men would be like "What the hell happened?" and apologize if the other really did feel offended which was probably not the intention of either person
+Robert Baur Or maybe it's just that Colbert wouldn't shut up! I don't think he wanted an intelligent conversation. He wanted a comedy skit. Bill is more serious about what he makes fun of. He likes to make fun of the stupid antics of politicians.
Julie Paterson yeah that's another way of saying that they have different styles. Both are known for their political monologues done in different styles
This explains exactly how I felt watching this conversation. At times it’s even a little hard to watch cause I like both very much. But maybe in their minds everything was cool just trying to get the joke out.
I like the back-and-forth sparring with these two, very entertaining! I like them both and never saw this until today. I haven't seen them together since this time.
+Kylo Ren How was this funny? Steve is short for Stephen. Stephen only said "who the fuck is Steve" cause of the tension in the interview. He was against the fence after all the passive aggressive remarks Bill was throwing out there. Stephen couldn't think of anything to insult Bill so he pointed out the fact the he said Steve instead of Stephen, which only a child would point out.
+Gar Funkle He called him out for being a condescending prick. His back wasn't against the wall. Maher couldn't keep up. I like Bill Maher and I'm a faithful watcher of Real Time as well as his comedy shows, but he was no match for Colbert and he's a poor sport. He couldn't go with the interview, when his "passive aggressive remarks" didn't work he started to pout and quit talking. It was poor.
+justmemadison No match for Colbert? Were we watching the same thing? Maher could make comedic mincemeat out of Colbert if allowed to. Colbert comes across as a juvenile hack on this show. Ugh, how did he even get hired? He won't even let Maher speak, keeps interrupting him with his inane quips that ARE NOT remotely funny. Dear STEVE This is how a talk show works: You ask a question, then listen to your guest answer. That's all there is to it. Now STFU. When you have one of the best talk show guests of all time in front of you, it's hard to fuck it up. But you did.
Djoaw Oawed He tried too hard to be funny especially that last "joke"... I think I had the same reaction as Bill did on my face. Bill is extremely cynical about religion so trying to get some light-hearted humor about it from him is not possible. Bill prefers to ridicule and offend rather than attempt to reason with religious people since that is not possible.
An Evolving Ape Yeah I see where you're coming from. My take from it was that these guys were very opposite in the direction they wanted to go. Maher leading it mostly to seriousness(too much politics) and stephen failing to bridge it to good humor. But other than that I did like it
Bill was disrespectful. He clearly doesn't know the difference between satire and reality. Colbert or Colbert. I love at the end Bill was taking a while to set up a joke and Stephen just ran with it and finished it for him LOL Bill didn't look to pleased
Wow, this is great TV, especially since I was raised Catholic also but I no longer practice my faith like Bill but I did learn a little humility like Stephen and I love jokes. Big fan of The late show with Colbert, The Colbert Report and Real time with Bill Maher. I really hate the whole party system in the US, and Im torn between the ideals of Bernie Sanders and the experience and plan effectiveness of Hilary Clinton.
Are you some kind of prophet or what? We don't know that....besides it's kind of like that for any president nowadays no matter which party because of the senate and the unwillingness of congress to come to decisions any president is going to have a hard time, including Bernie Sanders. There's no way that Bernie Sanders can do 90% of what he says he want's to do either because of politics and the corrupt system so your comment equally applies to Bernie also and that's why it's so hard to choose between the two candidates, for me at least. Between having the first female president ever or having a revolutionary leading president, either way I think our options are pretty good right now.
shivakrishnarama So she took some money from Wall Street to help pay for the damages caused by 9/11, so what that doesn't make her a bad person. She's definitely made some questionable decisions in her life but nothing that strikes me as inherently evil. Get your brah shit out of my face if you can't think for yourself, I like that Bernie went after her but there is no proof that she has been corrupted by Wall Street funding. Even if I was drunk on Kool-Aid I'm not as impressionable as you are when it comes to a few people making a remark that might not even be true, you have no facts brah. Quit being a sheep and use your own brain, you ain't Bernie Sanders.
***** Brah, Trump's gonna run wild on the Democrips once he wins the GOP nomination. The White House is gonna have a big neon sign on the front lawn saying "Trump House" and Camp David's gonna be remodeled into a World Class golf course. Can't wait.
***** Sure I'm trolling. Truth is I'm Canadian but I do like Trump. All politicians nowadays are bought by the lobbyists and although he is a bit of jerk off at least he's an honest jerk off.
Wow, that's why you want to have two of the smartest and wittiest people on TV locking horns especially if they happen to be polar opposites. You get a smorgasbord of clever quips and snark remarks. Great stuff!
The guy above me is right. One is condescending asshole whom while make a lot of decent points on his show (eventhough some are plain out horrible) and takes himself way too seriously.Somebody in the comment compared him to Bill O Reilly except just funnier and I have to agree with him.Bill Maher is also a terrible guest.Watch his interview in the Ferguson show
+A Mac They were a little bitchy!! I think Stephen was the more humorous though he seemed to be baiting Bill a little. Like he wasn't offended and Bill was. Come on Bill, chillax a little.
I feel like Colbert really let himself down in this one by trivialising a bunch of what Maher said all in the name of keeping it 'light entertainment'. It's such a shame. It could have been so much more interesting and impactful. He was a real go-getter in 'The Colbert Report'. I feel like he's a bit wasted in this newer role of chat-show host.
@@ljclark2177 sure, but if you’re doing a light entertainment show, it’s surely problematic to have some like Bill Maher on at all. Serious outrage from Bill if he talks, trivialised issues if Colbert interrupts. I agree though, Colbert had more room to tackle issues on the CR
@@EmperorsNewWardrobe Well yeah I get it, Bill Maher and light entertainment don't really mix...but I feel like the owness was on Colbert here by inviting him onto the show. If he really didn't want to get stuck into big issues maybe he should have thought twice about inviting him?
+Juan Madero these guys are comedians more than they are social commentators, it's not their job to dissect serious issues when they've got an audience to entertain. I like them both, but I think Bill is sometimes a little too in-your-face serious, so I think Steve is just trying to balance it out a bit.. yin and yang.
This was absolutely one of the best exchanges between two Titans of Late Night television. Both are well-informed, comical, and cerebral entertainers, with a very acerbic interpretation of the political landscape. Amusing and accurate observations from both Bill and Stephen, which provide viewers with something tangible to contemplate.
I find it so funny that Bill Maher is always criticizing religious people for being overtly sensitive about their faith but when Stephen CLEARLY jokes with him about 'welcoming him back to the church' he gets his feathers flustered & starts acting seemingly offended.
Idk if he was flustered. He probably was not expecting that discussion... I'm not trying to blindly defend him but usually celebrities get the notice on topics
+Aoba-kun but if the tables were turned and an atheist tells a devout Christian something like that they would be offended too and people would probably be saying how rude it is for the atheist to say that.
+Aoba-kun That's probably just your bias talking. I saw Bill being Bill, and Colbert getting overly sensitive. These two are incredibly awkward together.
+morticia kot Maybe, but Bill is the guy talking about using just logic and laughs about people getting emotional about ideologies. So he has no excuse to get emotional.
+Sean Cauffiel religion is a very personal topic talking shit about it to someone who believes in it is almost like talking shit about their family. I'm not even religious but at least I have respect for people's personal beliefs.
He's kind of an asshole at times. Unironically, too. Pure unadulterated prick sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I can (usually) say more positive things about him than bad, but I still acknowledge he's very flawed. (I'm not saying this because I'm "offended" either. I concur that religion is stupid.)
I really liked this interview lol. They obviously have differing beliefs, but they seemed to respectfully and comically debate. Stephen Colbert definitely is a good host haha
I like Maher but he looooves to explain stuff, and never seems to understand that a conversation is about interacting, not monologuing away forever. Also, he's not that confortable around people who are funnier than him, like Colbert, the Bill Burr interview comes to mind as well....
+Charles Léveillé He's being interviewed. Have you ever been interviewed before? Its not supposed to be a balanced conversation. Colbert's job is really to make sure the conversation moves smoothly and in the right direction but the guest should be doing most of the talking. The point of the whole thing is to get information out of the guests. This was just a really awkward interview. Not well done on Colbert's part. He needs to shape up because Maher is hardly the toughest guest he'll ever get on this show. As far as their humor goes its a matter of style. Colbert appeals to the masses and his humor is alright for someone shooting for that large of a target. Maher on the other hand appeals to a specific niche of left of center political types. Those people watch him religiously (at least all the Maher viewers I know do) and they find him hilarious. Far funnier than Colbert could ever hope to be. But just for that niche. Maher would not do well on a variety show like the Late Show.
+Charles Léveillé The host has a duty to accomodate the guest. If the guest is being difficult, the host should deal with it well, not do the shit that Stephen just did. You guys are justifying his actions with hate for maher. If it were an unknown old guy, you would see what Stephen was doing was disgusting.
Yeah I know, I've seen interviews before. And usually when two smart people are in this context it's more of a discussion, think of the O'Reily/Letterman interviews. However, Maher likes to control the conversation and he does it on his show as well. And don't think I'm hating on Maher, as I said, I quite like him and have been watching real time for quite a while now...Just a thought.
You also noticed, lol. " My religion teakes...teaches me to be humble in this type of adversary" or something like that. You can see Colbert throw himself back and open his arms and moved them around, that's not your typical Colbert.
+Seth Perry I think it was a nurtured 'Bill O'Reilly' response from his last show, O'Reilly hangs back like that when he's starting to get into tough questions, including those about religion. He suddenly reverted to the same mannerisms, it just tells me that he doesn't take things too seriously, which is better.
This was tough. Stephen is the man, but he wouldn't let his serious guest finish any serious sentences. It's a comedy show I guess, but this could have been more productive I think if the host had handled it better.
+Sean Mugan Expecting a comedian, even if he's a political comedian, to make a progressive point on another comedian's show without expecting the other guy to chide in for reactions of the crowd is the mistake you made while watching this. For the most part, far more important than making a message heard, the comedian's goal is always to incite reaction from the audience. If you were expecting something else, with an interview of two comedians, well I don't know what to say.
+Sean Mugan Bill Maher has plenty of time to do his monologues on his own show. Here he was a guest on a comedy show. I think he was pissed that the Colonel had the serious segment of the show. Bill hates not being the smartest guy in the room, that's why he sucks as a comedian. Ever notice how he waits too long for laughs after every damn joke and the same for applause after making a point. He's vain.

@Regular Gamer Jesus is dead, he can’t love
@Regular Gamer humans can’t live 2000 years
@Regular Gamer in your mind.
@@josemorales5117 I think he's talking about a character in some video game, check out the screen name. Other than that, have no idea who this person is talking about. Do go on sir.
Colbert is the best host on TV.
+Kikifoun Unui You mean the worst. Best for entertaining you folks makes him the best entertainer. The best host on TV doesn't insult and do what he did to Bill. He will accomodate all kinds of guests.
+Hemant Karasala this was tv gold! what are you talking? Bill was the one throwing childish insults
seriously, i still don't know who the heck is "Steve"
+greatgatsb9o921o then why the fuck are you here watching it?
Stephen Colbert is a Genius, Bill maher didnt like him n thought stephen wouldn't understand politics but wow stephen Made it funny and never let Bill put him down , great Interview 😀
Its Me Colbert Report was nothing but politics for almost a decade and Stephen was(maybe still is) under Jon Stewart, so it's is very unlikely Maher thinks Colbert doesn't know about politics. Both are liberal but doesn't mean they agree on all subjects. Religion was one of them.
This was quite the battle of wits! Bravo Sirs👏👏👏
This interview is going to get the most views out of all his videos for a while.
+Hemant Karasala im sorry, but has the religious debates ended?
+GamonKills It doesn't have to end for there to be a losing side. It's 'losing' side, not 'lost' side. The positive claim has to do the proving. No one has ever come even a little close to proving god. The religious side is the losing side.
You nailed it. Maher isn't as gifted a performer so he has to be seen somewhat as an intellectual.
This and part II was so much fun to watch! Thank you to Stephen and Bill for doing this.
Was this a roast or an interview. Damn lol.
+Jaden Yuki Colbert kicked his arse.
+verbatim102 how?
It never made sense to me how religious people claim they are humble. Aren't you guys the ones who think the universe was designed with YOU in mind?
thats what christianity says, thats not what we made up
id recommend reading up on jesus
+Night Guy That sounds like a sweeping generalization, especially given that there's roughly 4,200 religions in the world, and over 80% of the world's population claims to practice some kind of faith. I'm not saying religion makes people better or worse, but if you're going to suggest that all "religious" people are self-aggrandizing, the numbers suggest you're wrong. That is, unless 80% of the world's population actually ARE selfish twats, in which case, you've made a surprisingly astute observation, and bravo.
+Night Guy If it's true it's not arrogant, it's just the truth. We don't pride ourselves on false humility, that's for the self-righteous bigots.
+Nate Armendariz
Exactly. Not arrogant. Just delusional. :)
Bring Bill Maher back. This is one of the best interviews
I like Stephen a lot but Pascal's wager? C'mon man
+cerniglia65 Yeah I'm a bit tired of it myself, but I get why it would be a decent starting point for a conversation with someone like Maher.
+scaryfaced1 that interview was 12 minutes long. you can find it on the regular page. I liked it too. Colbert is sharp.
+cerniglia65 It was just a joking way to tease Maher. That was all. It wasnt serious for Colbert if you look at it.
+nemesis7884 The amount of claims that could never be proven is infinite. With anything other than god, you would probably dismiss it outright then forget about it, and it wouldn't be irrational in doing so as such claims aren't worth worrying about. Nobody would ever consider themselves a tooth fairy agnostic.
lol Stephen finished Maher's joke for him because he was too slow XD, love the raw wit and perfect execution.
+Jerry Vang What Stephen did was essentially bullying an old person for being slow :| And it's not like he was slow because he is slow. That's his delivery style.
So glad I saw this. And I believe this was done with no particular topic in mind. This was just comedic gold framed in platinum.
Good analysis
Robert Baur wow. Thank you for this. Summed it up so perfectly !!!
This explains exactly how I felt watching this conversation. At times it’s even a little hard to watch cause I like both very much. But maybe in their minds everything was cool just trying to get the joke out.
I wish this would have gone on for an hour. This shit is hysterical.
I like the back-and-forth sparring with these two, very entertaining! I like them both and never saw this until today. I haven't seen them together since this time.
Lol STEVE wasn't having that shit
+Kylo Ren How was this funny? Steve is short for Stephen. Stephen only said "who the fuck is Steve" cause of the tension in the interview. He was against the fence after all the passive aggressive remarks Bill was throwing out there. Stephen couldn't think of anything to insult Bill so he pointed out the fact the he said Steve instead of Stephen, which only a child would point out.
I'm always going to refer to him as Steve now.
Gar Funkle this guy
Dear STEVE
This is how a talk show works: You ask a question, then listen to your guest answer. That's all there is to it. Now STFU. When you have one of the best talk show guests of all time in front of you, it's hard to fuck it up. But you did.
This is the first time I've been disappointed with Colbert.
curious to know why
Djoaw Oawed
He tried too hard to be funny especially that last "joke"... I think I had the same reaction as Bill did on my face. Bill is extremely cynical about religion so trying to get some light-hearted humor about it from him is not possible. Bill prefers to ridicule and offend rather than attempt to reason with religious people since that is not possible.
An Evolving Ape
Yeah I see where you're coming from. My take from it was that these guys were very opposite in the direction they wanted to go. Maher leading it mostly to seriousness(too much politics) and stephen failing to bridge it to good humor. But other than that I did like it
+An Evolving Ape Me too. Been loving most of his stuff. But this was pathetic. Bad hosting.
Djoaw Oawed
excellent points.
For two people who clearly don't like each other this was a fascinating interview.
Bill was disrespectful. He clearly doesn't know the difference between satire and reality. Colbert or Colbert. I love at the end Bill was taking a while to set up a joke and Stephen just ran with it and finished it for him LOL Bill didn't look to pleased
+keen Bill is a comedian, I think he's well aware of Stephen's shtick.
SuperRaccAttack it didn't look that way. Bill still thinks the real Colbert is exactly like the fake pundent Colbert
keen As someone who watches Real Time regularly, I disagree.
+SuperRaccAttack Serious question: I do not watch regularly. Has Bill made any remarks about Colbert on his show (positive or negative)?
+Cocoabytes From what I've ever seen, they were always slightly positive. Certainly not negative at least. I would love to see Colbert on Real Time.
Who the fuck is Steve?
+Bernard Czajkowski Stephen = Steve
Are you the third grade teacher?
I literally read this while he said it ::::)
That would be me. Nice to meet ya!
Watching these two ICONS together was a real pleasure. Thanks.
I love these two
"We got another year to go sweetheart" 😂😂😂😂
This is one hell of an entertaining interview. These two guys are hilarious.
+undead797 You're drunk on the Kool-Aid brah, Shrillary Clinton is bought and paid for by Wall St.
shivakrishnarama
So she took some money from Wall Street to help pay for the damages caused by 9/11, so what that doesn't make her a bad person.
They are so funny together
Wow, that's why you want to have two of the smartest and wittiest people on TV locking horns especially if they happen to be polar opposites. You get a smorgasbord of clever quips and snark remarks. Great stuff!
If these two had a show together, that would be gold.
The two of them play off each other in both comedy and honest respect. So much fun to watch.
Great interview!
Bill's face after Stephen's said "Come on back, Bill."
LMAO! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Bill has to do more appearances with Stephen. They are the perfect comedy couple.
That was one of the funniest and most brilliant thing I've seen in years.
AKWARD...the 2 guys i like the most on TV do not get along
+A Mac that's because one of them is a hack
The guy above me is right. One is condescending asshole whom while make a lot of decent points on his show (eventhough some are plain out horrible) and takes himself way too seriously.Somebody in the comment compared him to Bill O Reilly except just funnier and I have to agree with him.Bill Maher is also a terrible guest.Watch his interview in the Ferguson show
+HayteStreet I'm not sure which one you mean
+A Mac They were a little bitchy!! I think Stephen was the more humorous though he seemed to be baiting Bill a little. Like he wasn't offended and Bill was. Come on Bill, chillax a little.
+A Mac You're the "awkward" guy who makes ordinary things seem actually awkward
Moral of this story: if it's on Colbert's show, he will comically limit your attempts to be too forceful
@@ljclark2177 assuming Colbert can influence that decision as such. But yes, if he did have any say, the owness is on him as host
Great interview. So comfortably natural with each other.
"I was not molested but quite frankly I am insulted by it" Damn, I cracked up like a child
back and forth = GREAT VOLLEY
Colbet 15 - Maher Love
I could watch these two go at it for hours
I'm in love with Bill Maher. Intelligent, properly rational and funny at the same time.
He is one of the very few woke comedians out there
Bill is trying to have a serious conversation, and Steven is just doing empty comedy. I liked the Colbert Report better.
+Juan Madero k
+Juan Madero I know right. Such interrupting. Stephen was at his most annoying.
+Juan Madero Bill never tries to have a real conversation.
if it appears as empty comedy i guess hes done his job well, because steering a conversation to be suitable for television isnt easy
They need Bill on more, sort of a great frenemy vibe.
I find it so funny that Bill Maher is always criticizing religious people for being overtly sensitive about their faith but when Stephen CLEARLY jokes with him about 'welcoming him back to the church' he gets his feathers flustered & starts acting seemingly offended.
I still agree with Maher on 95% of the issues though
Idk if he was flustered. He probably was not expecting that discussion... I'm not trying to blindly defend him but usually celebrities get the notice on topics
+Aoba-kun but if the tables were turned and an atheist tells a devout Christian something like that they would be offended too and people would probably be saying how rude it is for the atheist to say that.
+Aoba-kun It's something that religious people probably pretend isn't condescending, when it actually is. So some friction arises.
+Aoba-kun That's probably just your bias talking. I saw Bill being Bill, and Colbert getting overly sensitive. These two are incredibly awkward together.
I could listen to these two talk for days
Stephen is a provocateur. All that religious talk turned Bill red and made him emotional
+morticia kot Bill provoked too. He made Colbert do new mannerisms at around 2:00.
+morticia kot Maybe, but Bill is the guy talking about using just logic and laughs about people getting emotional about ideologies. So he has no excuse to get emotional.
flintmakesmusic hes a pseudo intellectual and actually very emotional about much of what he talks about.
+Sean Cauffiel religion is a very personal topic talking shit about it to someone who believes in it is almost like talking shit about their family. I'm not even religious but at least I have respect for people's personal beliefs.
I love Bill maher
He is an intelligent political commentator.
He's kind of an asshole at times. Unironically, too. Pure unadulterated prick sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I can (usually) say more positive things about him than bad, but I still acknowledge he's very flawed.
(I'm not saying this because I'm "offended" either. I concur that religion is stupid.)
the greatest interview of all time
Bill Maher is the Bill O'Reilly of liberals.
+SAILOREARTH89 haha Maher is 100 times smarter though.
+SAILOREARTH89 as far as them being asshole and talk to people like they are superior? yes.
The difference is Marr is intelligent
+TH-cam User Maher's more smug than intelligent.
Colbert really knows how to wreck a good interview
Man this was *PURE COMEDY TALK!* It's like hanging out with your friends in a bar!
This was when I realized Comedy Central had him play a character because this is what his personality is like.
"Steph" is good... real good, but Bill is still the man... this interview is epic
Truly enjoyed watching stoner-Bill squirm!
Most refreshing!
I really love what Stephen has done with the show and the direction its going! He's a worthy successor to Letterman.
I really liked this interview lol. They obviously have differing beliefs, but they seemed to respectfully and comically debate. Stephen Colbert definitely is a good host haha
These two are so brilliant. Love to watch people with intelligence.
Aw, Bill: you interrupt people all the time on your show. It'll be okay.
Great banter, great interview!
Colbert took that original religion dig personally. lmao
Can't believe this was from a year ago now. Still lose it at "Steve, who's Steve?!?"
Among my favorites. Interesting how they read/play/work together.
There are roughly 4200 religions in the world. Many people don't believe in 4199 of them, whereas I don't believe in 4200
we are all atheists for most of gods just some of us go one god further...
LOL. God is real. TRUST ME!!!!!
Peter Geoffrey Lombardo looooool
4200? Jesus Christ!
And Vishnu, etc.
But, really, where are you getting that number from?
gorginhanson Think its an estimate. Zeus is another one
Donald Trump Became The Republican Nominee
STEVE - 100 BILL- 0 #TeamSteve
OMG, I just saw this. I have tears from laughing. These 2 should do more [bleep] together.
That was extremely entertaining. I hope Bill comes back to feed on the "big bowl of Trump" that "Steve" has brewing!
lol, this was awesome.
out of the hundreds of thousands of Internet comments, i see the one from my buddy joel!
That was a great back and forth.
This was tough. Stephen is the man, but he wouldn't let his serious guest finish any serious sentences. It's a comedy show I guess, but this could have been more productive I think if the host had handled it better.
+Sean Mugan I agree - but it is colbert's show and I think maher let him go - I would bet that there will be a Colbert visit to real time
+Sean Mugan Expecting a comedian, even if he's a political comedian, to make a progressive point on another comedian's show without expecting the other guy to chide in for reactions of the crowd is the mistake you made while watching this.
He's vain.
I hope they are friendly offset, I feel that this banter is good for both of them. Bill don't be offended.
This Colbert character just interrupts continuously. Maher is talking much sense about religion. Well done Bill.
Damn, Bill Maher gets defensive FAST
Watch it again colbert was acting like a crybaby but hiding it lol hillarious
guess who is never coming back to late show?
I love Stephen Colbert! I have watched everything he has done. I am an atheist. I also watch Bill Maher religiously! The two together made for hilarious TV. I celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah because there are family traditions tied to these. Good people can have all kinds of ideas!
“Bill I can’t wait to come back next year to serve you a bowl of Trump” Well that didn’t age well
