Seen this movie and it was pretty good. I did not see the original but Professor X did a great job in the movie. This is what happen when Professor X is off his rocker. He basically goes insane. Oscar performance, yea, but will he get one. Probably not.

I feel the remake would have worked better if it was more of a revenge thriller rather than a family merely defending themselves. Given that the point of both films is being more polite, making the third act a revenge thing would give a "passive people lashing out when they had enough" feel and make more obvious the not-so-happy ending the director intended.

Now I have to watch the original! Blumhouse movies are so box office bait-ey now, I don't ever expect much. Really hope we don't see A24 go down that route. Thanks for the review!
