I didn’t realize how powerful and impact of a book Ruth was until I watched the series. I think because it’s so short it can be overlooked. But I thank you for giving me a better understanding. Jesus died to redeem us all!!!❤

Reading this 4 chapters of Ruth is full of revelation. Like God loves all his daughters and most of all those who are compassionate enough to take care of their parents in law in theirs very law state and as Boaz who is humble enough to redeem and take good care of his relatives and the foreigner Ruth as her wife. A beautiful story of how we can go to our true God with our emptiness to redeem us. And as for Ruth, compassion through keeping her promise to Niomi till the end and Boaz as a good man offered by God to help Niomi keep their ancestral name. When you let God lead your life, all things work together for good. And from there, blessings came forward as the grandfather of the first king of israel (David) was born who will take responsibility of the land of israel and through the line of Jesus, where our true redeemer came from.

I ran across this video. During the first part of the video, you mentioned that Ruth proposed to Boaz. Where is that in the text? I am curious how you came to that conclusion, which is very important. Boaz speaks to this close relative, who rejects redeeming Ruth, the Moabitess, and instead offers Boaz to purchase the field, and remove his sandal as an Isrealite custom, to comfirm his agreement in her redemption. Maybe yoiu can shed light on that. Thanks
(I read and study from the NASB, NKJV, ESV versions).

In the previous chapter, chapter 3 verses 8-10. Ruth lays at Boaz’s feet and uncovers him which was a proposal sign in that time. Boaz wakes from the cold of being uncovered and is proud of the loyalty Ruth is showing and says in verse 10 that Ruth has shown loyalty by not going after a younger richer man.

This is where I found, but I was wondering this question too. Last episode explained it to me

Hey Adrian! What a great question. In Ruth 3:1-9, Naomi tells Ruth to secure a marriage from Boaz by visiting him while he is sleeping on the threshing floor. Ruth obeys her mother-in-law and asks Boaz to become her kinsman-redeemer, in my mind this is Ruth's "proposal." She proposes the idea of marriage and redemption to Boaz. Boaz then reacts to Ruth's proposal by engaging in the ceremony you described. If you want some further context you should check out this episode of our podcast!
