You should possibly invest in one of those Small Tracking style/follow behind drones that film from up above. The on board footage was cool, but seeing the Sherp from outside is way better.
When on a trail you have the easy line, the hard line, the bypass and apparently the "sherp". Which really isn't a line as much as it is a state of mind.
Ian Parrish maybe not, but I’m not getting my 8,000lbs truck stuck before I get my 3,000 lbs Jeep stuck. Because who will pull me out then? Besides the truck being 21’ long the Jeep with lighter weight is way easier to yank out of a hole. And I’ve pulled both out of holes and I can say I’m thankful to the people who showed up, but three trucks and maybe 2 hours of digging before they showed up... I’ll take a lightweight anything or a heavy anything anyway when I wheel. Just my thoughts though.
when Osta looks at the camera to clean the lens I always feel like he's checking on his viewers.. You guys see okay? Nah you can't see let me get ya fixed up.
when i was a kid in the 80’s. they made these little trucks called STOMPERS. just turn them on and they would spin all 4 wheels and climb damn near anything. This Sherp is a life size Stomper!! love it man.
@@jaksngreen having spoken to dave aka osta even his reply below its doesnt make for a good recovery vehicle of things being heavy, its all allumimum and hes already had them fix a couple issues already
19:30 hehe that's the Samarai/SJ/Jiimnys party trick, if you angle yourself right you can get one wheel in the rut, and one wheel on the centreline. Which negates the fact that it bogs down on tyres over 28"ish without regearing. Great little trucks.
jeeps: hardly making it though the mud..... David: oh let me run back there and film each one love it man... next time take the renegade to one of those jeep events and show them how its done
The samurais are always last. Not knocking them, they just need enough HP to clean the tread out. Love me an old wagoneer. Yall had a good crew of rigs.
At around 1:55 the camera man starts running thank you for that that shows commitment to the quality of the footage I was just getting ready to watch an annoying segment of him walking through the same wooded area but to my surprise he busts a hustle good job sir
I'm actually pretty amazed at how well the trucks did in those sloughs. I would have never guessed they would actually been able to get through there. That shit is tough on a wheeler.
I love the vernacular English. You learn that "friggin'" basically means "existing", and since that's about every second word, it helps a lot to know that.
Not only a great video but giving the kid a ride at the end of vid was pretty awesome bro. Goes to show you when doing something you enjoy to share that feeling is a given.
Most of those guys have over time, built their rigs. All while this guy just shows up in something he purchased for way too much money. It's like taking a hoverboard to a skate park.
You seem like a pretty awesome guy. Most people who post a video with a name like this will come to show off their vehicle and how superior it is. You come and focus on all the other guys because you know the sherp can do these things with ease. But it's not all about that! It's about going out and having fun with other people who enjoy the same thing!
Just looking at that Samurai/jimmy made wish you did your next project around that platform. Would probably be cheapter then your bike builds as well :P
I love that newer 4 door Wrangler @ 11:05 that bottomed out on that first ditch only for the beat up 90's xj right behind it to crawl over with no problem lmao

Gotta be careful with some of the follow behind drones when under trees/vegetation. But great idea hope to see some more crazy footage!
@@Harley831 Check out the skydio r1. It's insane what it can navigate around autonomously

true that
Bringing a Sherp to a Jeep rally .....is like bringing a tank to a knife fight LOL
well to be fair he wasnt Challenging anyone, just along for the ride, but yes a bit over kill lol
Cool comparison 😂
You could see it that way. To me it looked more like bringing a life vest on a boat ride :P

Yes but Jeeps used to come with pintle mounts for M1919s and M2s.
@@davidtuttle7556 A tiny bit of tube welding can fix that lol
@@Lofi.z34 yes but unsticking an original Willys much easier than a Sherp, and easier though more expensive to fix nowadays.

There is a commercial about that the guy said how tight they are and crashes into a lake and turns around and cruises out

I love the tiny little Samurai just making everything look easy
Samurais and Vitaras can be built into insanely capable offroaders.
Honestly. Unless it's something like a Sherp. The smaller a car is, the better it is for offroading. Less weight, less chance of getting beached etc.

Your good mood alone makes it wonderful to watch
Thank you my friend
I know there is a ton of other rigs but with a sherp there everyone gotta feel good about it. The sherp would easily be able to recover anyone.
It's too light, my cruiser is 5200-5300 lbs likely not going to be able to get me out......
However seeing it in action is amazing
