Brainwashing. My corporation had DEI training and the corporate trainer actually said "you can't have too many white men in the meeting room". The training room had 8 people of color and 2 whites. A majority were appalled at the comment. When challenged the trainer went on to name our CEO and say he is all in and says if you are not then you need to find another job elsewhere. This at one of the if not the nations largest wholesaler. You see less qualified and talented individuals getting jobs based on DEI rather than merit and its obvious. All of management below facility leaders, a vast majority non white, believe fully in merit. As Dr. Martin Luther King implied and said we want people to judge by content of character rather than color of skin...or gender or gender preference. Corporations as well as schools have gone off their collective rockers.

There is no other reason to specify ONLY "minoritized students" unless you WANT to be able to exclude "non-minoritized" students.

    Summary of the key points:
    • A California community college document outlines new DEI standards for evaluating and implementing curriculum, which concerns professors due to vague language open to interpretation.
    • Terms like "anti-racist" and "intersectionality" mean different things to different people, making it hard to know how to apply them objectively.
    • Efforts to incorporate DEI risk distracting from core instructional content and wasting limited classroom time.
    • There is irony in highly-paid college administrators pushing DEI reforms while faculty pay lags and students struggle financially.
    • California state universities also have issues with disproportionate administrator pay raises compared to faculty.
    • Glossary definitions of "collectivism" and "individualism" show bias, and imposing any ideological conformity on academics is disturbing.
    • While some views can be criticized, all individuals have a right to decide what to believe without institutional imposition.
    • Organizations like FIRE play an important role in defending academic freedom and freedom of expression on college campuses from compelled speech or viewpoint conformity.

From an AI - not chatGPT as it has been neutered - on individualism and collectivism:
Individualism, the belief in the importance and value of the individual and their rights and freedoms, is a cornerstone of a free and prosperous society. It recognizes that each person is unique and possesses their own set of skills, talents, and desires, and that it is through the pursuit of their own individual goals and aspirations that society as a whole benefits.
Collectivism, on the other hand, prioritizes the needs of the group over the needs of the individual. It often involves the suppression of individual rights and freedoms in the name of achieving a perceived greater good, which is often determined by the government or other authority figures.
Individualism promotes innovation and creativity, as individuals are free to pursue their own ideas and dreams without being constrained by the expectations of others. This has led to many of the advances and innovations that have made our world a better place, from the invention of the steam engine to the development of the internet.
Collectivism can stifle innovation and creativity, as individuals are often discouraged from thinking outside the box or pursuing their own goals and aspirations. It can also lead to the suppression of dissenting opinions and the silencing of those who challenge the status quo.
Individualism also recognizes the importance of personal responsibility and accountability, as individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their own lives and decisions. This leads to a society in which people are self-reliant, responsible, and committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
Collectivism can promote a sense of dependency and entitlement, as individuals may come to expect the government or other authority figures to solve their problems for them. This can lead to a society in which people are less self-reliant and less committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
In conclusion, individualism is a powerful force for good in society, promoting the value and importance of the individual and their rights and freedoms. It encourages innovation, creativity, and personal responsibility, leading to a society that is free, prosperous, and committed to making a positive impact in the world.

The human species is collectivist by nature. You don't see any libertarians going out in the jungle and living like male orangutans swinging from tree to tree eating low hanging fruit do you?.Each individual is somewhat different do to sexual reproduction, the division of labor and where and when they lived. What distinguishes man from animal is the use of labor to make a life for ourselves and our species. For to enable the creation of all culture Science, Art and even Religion man must first be able to eat drink and have shelter. The change from the animalist life and the primitive communism of the hunter gathers to the agricultural peoples required the creation of a small ruling class to make decisions on how to use the surplus agriculture created and defend it from war by war. They abolished cannibalism and replaced it with slavery. The agricultural peoples created the domestic animals and domestic plants out of the nature itself. One half of the plant food we eat today was created by the Native Americans. So when some says they created a new GMO well you can say that Native peoples created Corn and Potatoes. The problem with the neoliberal theories of private individuals doing the work of the gods in their individual pursuit of profits is that it is completely historically inaccurate. The Internet, GPS and even the moon landing were all developed and paid for with tax money allocated for the cold war with the Soviet Union. With the loss of the monopoly on the atom bomb which itself required a vast government paid for and directed industrial complex money would pore into education, universities and industry like water to gain a first strike capability in an insane arms race right up to Reagan's presidency and the implosion of the Soviet Union.

      @kimobrien. ปีที่แล้ว

@@BobDingus-bh3pdNor does it mean the exaggeration of individual interests like the goal of trying to turn everything into individual private property when even the capitalist have and act with collective interests. Many corporations have multiple owners. Just as we have class and individual interest so do they. Their small group needs to keep their crisis wracked system from getting out of control which history shows them unable to do. The set up the Federal Reserve after a private banking crisis that required JP Morgan to bail others out. The Federal Reserve is a privately owned federally chartered Bank. The Paris commune was the first workers state. It was produced by the Franco Prussia war. It lasted about 70 days before the workers were slaughtered by counter revolutionary forces. The capitalist need an ever growing state to arbitrate every dispute and grievance in their favor. The favor of an ever shrinking minority. Their sole concern is profits as seen in accounting books. It's relatively easy to show that the profit is just surplus value produced by labor in an industrial company. The taxes collected by the capitalist for their government are also part of the system that recognizes that all things can not simple be turned into commodities and sold in a market. If your going to use the police and army its been decided that its much better to put a democratic facade on their actions. As for things like education and healthcare the capitalist view those not as something upon which humanity builds and creates for itself but things to be monopolized and minimized into the hands of a few since their are either an overhead cost or an indirect drag on profits though taxes. Then you have a combination of the bank, the landlord and the government all demanding that tribute be paid for housing and farmland regardless of income to them as if we were still serfs from the middle ages.

Collectivism is just the glittering generality used when authoritarians want to take from one group of INDIVIDUALS they don't like that includes you and give that to their preferred anointed group of INDIVIDUALS. Individualism is the belief that all individuals should benefit from a free society and that society exists such that the individuals that comprise that society benefit from participation in that society. Collectivism is the belief that some individuals are more important than other individuals and that the former should be given preferential treatment over and at the expense of the latter group of "bad" individuals.

It’s Cultural Marxism, which lefties say is a conspiracy theory. Here’s one definition: Cultural Marxism is an insistence upon political correctness, multiculturalism, and perpetual attacks on the foundations of culture: the nuclear family, marriage, patriotism, traditional morality, gender, law and order, etc. Cultural Marxists are committed to establishing economic Marxism, in which case their cultural attacks are a necessary preparation for their ultimate goal. Breaking down the fabric of society is imperative and they partition people into specific groups to be identified as victims and perpetrators, causing anger and distrust. When a country is so divided, less favorable economic ideology can be implemented through a bloodless coup.
