Sick of GGO vlogs? Absolutely not Steve. I'm in the UK and love to see you trudging through the Teton woods. I am becoming obsessive about that beautiful bird now. We have been lucky enough to visit the Tetons and Yellowstone twice, in 2017 and 2019. We travelled with a long mental list of wildlife and have seen it all EXCEPT the GGO. We so need to get back! Keep up the good work.
Steve, please keep shooting those beautiful great grey owls! We will never get tired of your enthusiasm while you are out tracking and shooting these majestic birds of prey! And seeing owls and bears at the same moments is just unreal!
I absolutely love the photo of the owl walking along the log - - cracked me up - - thank you so much for all of the information and the wonderful photos
You REALLY did that owl justice!! You made him a portfolio to sell any where!! GREAT shots, all!! I enjoyed how you followed him there. My only problem was the bear. Were I there, we would have answered that age old question of who poops in the woods!! ME!! You caught so many wonderful views of the owl and illustrated so many facets of him it is amazing GREAT photography. Love every shot!! Thank you SO much for your work here. I felt they joy you felt in doing this and I enjoyed it even more.
Superb photos of that awesome owl, loved the one with sunlight through outstretched wings. What a wonderful afternoon for you and thank you for sharing it with us. Always love coming along on your adventures!
Beautiful creatures. Back in the 80s I lived in a small town of 5000. Everyday on my way to school I came by a private property. On that property there was a house and next to the house there was a tree. A spruce or pine tree only a few meters away from the street and the sidewalk. On that tree there were sitting 10 to 20 owls basically every day - I don't know for how long. Must have been years. Almost everyday I took a short break there and just watched those amazing creatures. That tree became well known as the home for owls. Long-eared owls if remember correctly. So beautiful. I've never seen anything like that again in my life. One day in the late 80s the tree was gone just like that. Never saw an owl again in and around town.
Thank you, Steve. I appreciate the videos where you take us on your hikes in the woods to look for owls! Beautiful pictures. I look forward to seeing more!
I had one do that when I was on my belly photographing a cardinal flower with my 100mm macro. He was a little guy and far too fearless for his own good, came right up to see what I was doing and hung out for at least a half hour. It's not often I have to backup to get a bear in the frame.
What a beautiful day ! Thanks for sharing. A lovely series of images, and i love the picture of the owl prancing down the fallen tree best. It oozes character. Cheers.
I always love the owl footage! The GGO walking down the log was my favorite bit. You got some wonderful light on the bird and what a treat to have so many hours with the bird. Keep up the great work, Cheers!
I love the ‘hunt’ for the owls almost as much as the images, it shows that you make your own luck through your knowledge and persistence. Curious though as you lose light and have to push your ISO up to 2800 on a couple of images, do you have to do any extra post processing work? They look so clean and sharp, great work as always. Keep up with the owls and taking us along on the hunt. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.
I love your owl vlogs. My daughter recently recorded the call of a saw-whet owl outside her home in Brooklyn, of all places. I wish I'd been there to shoot it.
Never get sick of GGO vlogs! Your enthusiasm is infectious! Three hours of incredible images that some people spend a lifetime getting just one! Awesome!
I love owls, please don't stop with the owl content, I can't get enough. wish I could get some good photos of them here in Florida. They never seem to be out during daylight, of course we don't have great grays either.
I'm not tired of the owl videos and you have done justice to them. I especially liked the owl moonwalking down the branch, the 1st one more than the 2nd one. The ones with black backgrounds are also good.
I love watching your owl hunts. I'm a little jealous since the only owl photos I have were some I took on my phone a few years ago when an owl had perched itself in a tree right outside my office. I've tried going places that I know others have seen owls, but I never see them.
Just love the video clip of him walking down the tree trunk….. slightly undermining the “majesty” of great grey owls 😂 Really enjoy these out in the woods videos - one day I will make it to your area! Thanks Steve.
Never tire of these vlogs. That is a magnificent bird! Loved,,loved, loved seeing the toptoe ( walk) down the log. Without your vlogs I would never have even known about Great Grey Owls. Thank you for sharing. The bird had your back!
I know how nice it is to be out in the forest enjoying the quiet solitude. All you hear is the sound of birds, wildlife and your own breath. Please be careful out there. If that were a grizzly it is likely we wouldn't be enjoying those beautiful videos of yours.
Looks like maybe one of your best “owl outings” of the year - for the subject, the perches and backgrounds and the light. I imagine you got a bunch of wall hangers from it and look forward to seeing them in your 2022 “best of” vlog. We’re on the left coast right now but can’t wait to get back to Calgary to hunt Snowies in the wheatlands east of the city and great grays in the foothills west of us. I loved your instagram shot posted recently of our foggy bull. I got some very similar silhouette shots I’m really pleased with. Thanks again.
sick of great grey owls? NEVER, you keep posting them, i'll be watching, your work is absolutely amazing....i'd love the opportunity to shoot one of these
An owl and a bear in the same spot? What a treat. It's a special place and you are lucky to be there. Like all your other vlogs, loved watching this. The shots are amazing as always. I am actually stunned that the owl lets you get so close. You must be considered to be a friend :)
Not at all sick of these! Love seeing the amazing shots you’re able to get. You’re doing something I would love to be able to do, but am no. So it’s very fun to watch! It’s the next best thing to doing it myself.
So, so beautiful; your images made me weepy such is the beauty! I thought it was a surprise to turn the other day and there's a coyote 30 metres from my tail end; you get snuck up on by a black bear! Thanks as always for inspiring, entertaining and most especially beautiful content. Cheers!
Great video Steve. The great grey owl vlogs are terrific and I hope you keep doing them. In Minnesota we have them in the Saks-Zim Bog if you are lucky to find them. When you do it is a great experience.
do not ever stop making videos of Owl's as they are special wildlife predators and i like you enjoy when you can locate and shoot. My love of the owl comes from my Grandmother and my Mother. You must have had a little jump when your friendly owl noticed the Bear before you did, and it actually showed your viewers that they are just as scared of us as we are of them when he turned an ran when you spotted him on the log. Thank you for the content you put out and thank you esppecially the Owl videos. Happy Thanksgiving and dont eat to much that you are down and out for days lol. We had our Thanksgiving up here in Canada a few weeks back so I hope you enjoy yours.
Love the GGO videos. Makes me want to get outside. It also makes me look forward to getting after the Snowy Owls that come South each winter. Thay should be arriving shortly (I hope).
Not sure I'll get tired of owl videos. I really got a kick watching this one walking down the log. In my mind it looked like he was trying to sneak up on dinner😂 Wonderful images👍👍

Just a man treading through the forest talking to himself, love it!

Steve don't even think about quitting on the Great Grey Owl photography, it's so great.
LOVE the owls Vlogs, don't stop. I LOVE it when it's on the log, how precious!!!
When the Owl walks it's feathers look like some giant cape. I've never seen one walking around in all the videos I've seen.
We won't call it the Jackson moonwalk but the Gray logstep. Thanks for the forest dance.
The owl walking on the log was totally awesome! Very cool.
Steve, please keep shooting those beautiful great grey owls! We will never get tired of your enthusiasm while you are out tracking and shooting these majestic birds of prey! And seeing owls and bears at the same moments is just unreal!

That last shot was epic, he turned around as much to say "what are you looking at" lol, great video great shots and a lesson on perseverance.

2800 iso isn’t high….I’ve shot clean images at 12800 iso with my Sony A1. Topaz DeNoise helps.
Imho, people make a big deal about noise when they don’t really need to.
I love your owl vlogs. My daughter recently recorded the call of a saw-whet owl outside her home in Brooklyn, of all places. I wish I'd been there to shoot it.

Love what you're doing with these outings. GGO's are amazing critters. Thanks for sharing.
Just love the video clip of him walking down the tree trunk….. slightly undermining the “majesty” of great grey owls 😂 Really enjoy these out in the woods videos - one day I will make it to your area! Thanks Steve.
Great video Steve! Grey Owls are the hardest animal for me to find in the Tetons. Way to not let the bears sneak up on ya!
