Star Wars - Jawas speak isiZulu! (Turn on subtitles)

I watched the Star Wars movies growing up, then went off to university and majored in isiZulu. One holiday I was watching through the movies again, but this time, hears something different in the Jawa's speech, they were speaking isiZulu! Sped up and out of context phrases, but very cool!

It took me all this time to realize the Jawa talking with pressured and paced out speech patterns is timing them lifting R-2, the same way people tend to count to 3 before heavy lifting

Haha! That’s amazing! They do make three sounds before lifting R2! Their speech is actually sound bites of isiZulu speech sped up and at a higher pitch :)

WOW I have loved these films since I was a child and I have known for a long time that they used a distorted African language for the Jawas. When I saw the film for the first time I wondered what the Jawas were saying? Thanks to this channel I know that it is Zulu and I know that Uthini means "What do you say?"!!! I only had to wait 47 years! Thank you so much:))))
