The Sega Aiwa Mega Drive CD Player is interesting. I wonder if Sony saw this thing and thought "the PS1 has to be able play music CD's", and from there a 21st century console isn't just a games machine. It plays CD's, DVD's possibly even Blu-Ray discs as well- was the Sega Aiwa Mega Drive CD Player the start of "games consoles should do more than play games"?

Thanks for actually teaching me something new, thought I knew about all the Xbox console variants after I found out about the Halo one that they only made 10 of that literally looks like someone made in their garage with an airbrush and was heavily debated to be fake for a while until it was confirmed real.
That maziora Dreamcast is gorgeous! I really want to find a Dreamcast somewhere because that console was so ahead of its time and underrated. I never got to have one because I was only like 4 or 5 then but I loved playing space channel 5 at McDonald's.
I still have my purple/lilac psp 3000! 💜 As I recall, I got it second hand from Japan -> Philippines for around Php2,500 (¥5,000/$50) The purple/lilac PSP 3000 was also bundled with different games as a special edition console (PreCure & MonHun Nikki) aside from the Hannah Montana bundle. It was also sold as a non special edition console in other countries.
It looks like if a person REALLY obsessed with soccer smoked a bunch of crack, sawed two different Fifa Xbox Ones in half, and welded one from each half together, and then did it again for the controller.
I wish the FFXII PS2 was released in North America. It was the one of the few console special editions that I actually wanted. I at least had the Silver Slim.

I don't care about Godzilla, I don't care much for the Xbox One(it has some great exclusives), but now for some reason I need an Xbox One Mothra Edition, that thing is pretty.
the hello kitty xbox is especially confusing when you keep in mind that the xbox was catered towards late teens and adults, and had a more gritty lineup of exclusives compared to the playstation 2 and gamecube.
I actually remember Hello Kitty having special edition on other consoles as well, such as the Dreamcast. hahhahhaha As far as the list goes, that Aiwa MegaDrive might have the best price/benefit on this. All in all, I'd probably llike to own almost every entry from this list, especially the Mazziora Dreamcast, the PSX and that FFXV PS4. In fact, that PS4 is one of the best looking consoles I can recall seing of all time.

I have a limited edition Dissidia Final Fantasy PSP. Or at least I would if Sony America hadn't changed their mind at the last minute and replaced the PSP with Dissidia graphics on it for a regular silver PSP-3000. And the Dissidia PSP was released in Japan so it's not like Sony would have had to do a lot of extra work to release one here. Still annoyed after all these years that the only thing special about it was the fancy box. Including a free copy of Advent Children on UMD wasn't much of a consolation.

SEGA was an innovator like that. The Dreamcast was essentially an Xbox, just a few years too early (it even had a web browser).
