I don’t see the point in having a bigger house with a guest room because someone might want come and visit, that’s what hotels are for. We built our house to fit our daily needs not for just incase scenarios that don’t serve us well financially. I also tend to believe that people think they need a bigger house because they have to much crap and need someplace to put it. Thanks for another great video.
I feel so much better when I listen and watch your videos 😊I calm down and realise that I don’t have to chase success. Recently felt stressed out when my friend kept telling me that I need to get out of my comfort zone but what if I like it
That's great to hear! I think that totally depends on the context and what getting out of your comfort zone means. If you know your life would be better on the other side, it can be good advice, if not, I'd reconsider taking that advice
Hi Seve, I am from the Philippines and been watching your video a lot about Minimalism and I have learned alot as someone who loves impulse buying. THANK YOU🎉❤❤
Generally good advice, Seve, but I would caution that having a larger salary is not always the solution because most people I know would just spend it on a larger home, expensive car, expensive vacation, and so on. Investing can be perplexing but I m a member of a good credit union (not sure what the equivalent is in Finland is but in the USA a credit union is like a cooperative financial institution owned by its members) and they provide me with free easy to follow advice on investing, which I am grateful. I can write a lot more but i will stop now to make a cup of tea. Thank you, Seve, for your channel.
I love how you broke down these common money mistakes and offered practical advice for saving and living frugally! Thanks for sharing your wisdom-definitely learned a lot from this one! 💸💡
I have been budgeting for years and it does get easier but it can be difficult when you first start out. If you are feeling discouraged, remember it is a skill you have to work on just like every other skill. You are not going to be perfect when you first start. And the more people in your family, the harder it is!
Your videos are relaxing and helps remind me to align my life towards simplicity, doing important work without hurrying, frugality and low consumption 💜 P.S. Everyone should do envelope budgeting imo. YNAB is famous but expensive. There are cheaper alternatives like Buckets.
Off topic, but is that a white piano? Do you play and would you be willing to play for us? Playing music is a great way to combat bordem, hence limiting emotional spending .
It is a piano yes, my mom & sister play but I actually don't (this was filmed in my mom's place where I sometimes film). I have tried but it requires so much practice to get good haha 😄
No I haven't, need to check that out. Hope my library has it 🙌 My list of books to read starts to be endless now though so can't promise a video about that sorry 😄
personally I am looking at 65% needs, 25% savings, 10% wants (which is a few thousand a year still) Wants only really include things you don't need such as snacks, alcohol or sodas, pre-maturely replacing a product (upgrading a perfectly fine phone, replacing a perfectly fine couch/dishwasher/etc), going out, and other things you don't need Needs includes a functioning Laptop capable of doing the basics (more if job requires it), a phone with ongoing software support, membership/equipment to exercise all body parts, food, housing with a bed, depending on climate cooling/heating (because health), etc Many people consider a computer and phone a want, but we are legally required in many places of the world to have a phone number and be able to access certain sites, emails, etc same story for the gym or AC/Heating, which unless we throw our health out the window is a necessity as it is terribly unhealthy to be overheating or undercooled, or being stationary and not exercising certain body parts.
An ethical look at managing your finances: If you get yourself in a financial bind through mismanagement of your money, you will be tempted to lie, cheat others in order to keep your head above water and perhaps steal. If you get caught at this (and you probably will) you will lose one of the most precious things you possess-your reputation.

I agree, while what he said in the video is correct, it really doesn't matter when people continues to over consume.

A lot of the time getting a smaller house is much more expensive than staying in your current large house. Kind of trapped.
I never buy anything full price

Hi, Save. Have you ever read the book The Art of Being Alone by Renuka Gavrani? I’d like you to review that book and share your own perspective on it.
