Damn dude, I'm glad you popped up in my suggested videos. I keep getting surprised to see a fresh take on the movies/games you've covered. It's great to hear something new instead of just regurgitating the same talking points, or just diving really deep in that shit fam. Good stuff
His strongest confirmation of how he really feels is when he brushed death. On the way out the hospital he said the sky is filled with darkness, then says, the light is winning.
On this day of sitting and watching, I feel ever so good about this video posting you have done on the past day. Another good video, I and others can not make argument against. These always make my heart and brain explode with the goodness of all life. I shall look straight into the future and make more time for sitting and watching in biggest anticipation for the next video. Many good tidings for you until next time I see you! :)
I love philosophy. I think finding satisfaction in mere existence has actually been a great boon to me and curbed the stronger aspects of my suicidal ideation. There is suffering in life but there is satisfaction in it as well. life is just as complex and just as simple as every philosopher has ever posited it to be and in that and other ways, we are all one.
@@0The_Farlander0 I didnt touch on it here, but schopenhauer also mentions how this inescapable suffering should also inspire empathy for others, and that we should refer to our fellow man, no as sir or madam, but as a fellow sufferer. So there are romantic elements to his pessimism as well wich I didn't feel fit the overall mood of the video.
@@FreddyDude that's a very interesting twist on the 'negativity' inherent in pessimism, and I guess I should expect no less from someone who is considered one of the greats. I disagree with it, but who knows if my views will ever be remembered after I'm gone lol
Gotta say, I am calling the "suicide help" ... And this Video helps a ton. Thank you very much. And also spot on for ppl who know their situiaton too much.
@@FreddyDude Thanks. But, just a suggestion, it would be easier for viewers to track the source if you mentioned where you got the quote from. Like this one: "Death is the opportunity no longer to be I". As far as I'm concerned, this quote is not from Schopenhaur's essay Studies in Pessimism (1890). The comment section is a good place to link the references to literary works.
@@joykennell335 that quote comes from the world as will and representation, I believe. You're right that I should put sources in the description or smth but I just never bothered because no one is really watching anyway and youtube is just a hobby of mine. I'm not looking to educate anyone especially when I myself don't have any superior education lol. 🤷♂️
Don't you dare mention the misspelling of asceticism
ascketicisissm*
I think you misspelled asceticism.
you misspelled ascendsjanriinsm
And to forget the wich 🤔

@FreddyDude Could you write down which book(s) of Arthur Schopenhauer you used as reference? It's a great video, by the way.
@@joykennell335 studies in pessimism was the only book I used. The rest of my knowledge on him came from Michael sugrues lecture
