Oh good, I thought I was seeing shit. Nice pun too 😅
Rest in peace grant 😢

I love that they are finally uploading these on yt, this was my favorite episode back when i was smaller
It's the 3rd time they uploaded it this month... they will reupload it again next week
I would suspect the cars the rum-runners used to run away from the Law while on alcohol were SERIOUSLY modified: both to run well on alcohol and to go fast.
Nsscar origin 👍
Didn't know I needed 90s goth-grant, but I did, and I approve.
Currently in the United States, there are four states that allow the production of moonshine for personal consumption (Alaska, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Missouri). Additionally, North Dakota law permits the production of moonshine for personal consumption up to the federally legal amount, which is zero gallons; entailing that production of any amount is illegal.
For those who don't know, 156 proof is 78% alcohol by volume. The typical bottling proof for spirits in the United States is 80 proof (or 40% ABV)
if anyone is curious about how to do it properly check out Making Pure Corn Whiskey. You can find a PDF if you hunt around. It's legal to know how to do it, but get the right permits before making anything
drinking on the job? i like it
Classic show, peak 2000s
I think this was also the last peak science show; there has been none since.
I'd be using TIG process to seal those systems. Copper can be welded quite good and it brazes itself with almost any steel easily.
One thing about this myth... Particularly the moonshine car chase... Is that: shouldn't the moonshiner be a car with most of its internal stripped?
Hmmm... Seeing Kari in high boots and a police uniform is definitly that what i needed to see today.
She looks beautifull
To me: Just pigtails and nothing Else 😂
suddenly reminded of the random event in RDR 2 that has a moonshine shack explosing in the New Austin desert .. lol
lol Grants wearing eyeliner/mascara first half of ep~
Good for him!
'90s outfit'
90's were strange
We're all living in America... America... it's wunderbar...
Copper pipe solder melts at 400-500F... seems like a joint failed due to the heat. Brazing the joints probably would have held up though...
Cheers 🍻
I run my lawn mower on moonshine sometimes runs fine just a dry fuel one tank here and there to keep the grass down seems fine. Just make sure you run it dry when finished. Hot motor and carb should evaporate left over water
Try that with a Brazilian car, we've got etanol cars for decades
‘Ethanol burns hotter than gasoline’….mmmm…
those poor donuts
Wohoo!
How did they try and bump start an automatic?
in brazil the cars would work
"inspired by "Moonshiners,"" = production company using it's popular product to promote it's unpopular product.
Using a smart program to promote a stupid program, derp.
the question is can the cars run on Johnny Walker Red! can they!?
No.
60% water.

U have to thank moonshiners because you would have no nascar
You should have tried pickup trucks to run on moonshine. I ran an '03 F-150 on isopropyl alcohol and I ran an '05 Sierra on chainsaw gas (1:50 oil:gasoline). so maybe that would have given better results.
LMAO, who's the idiot helping them? For starters a hydrometer does not measure the proof of alcohol, it measures the gravity of the mash which gives you a potential alcohol reading depending on if if ferments out completely. An alcometer measures the proof of the distilled product! Damn i'm only 6mins into video and already mistakes are made!

Adam Savage is by far one of the most incredibly annoying people I have seen on any show, ever.
Yet you're still watching??😮
there were 2 people in the cop camaro. that little bit of extra weight would have slowed down the car.
they used a modern bic lighter in the old timey 1800's style silent film.
