    I have the same material kicking around. Great video. I don’t think I can use the bigger hammer method on my new tractor though. Lol

    Where did you get that steel mesh. I'm getting ready to weld up a grill guard for my tractor and yours is the best I've seen.

      Thanks! I’m afraid that mesh may be a one of a kind. I actually found it buried in the yard of our previous house and have been holding on to it for something great!

    That is probably the best grill guard I have seen! Very heavy duty! You going to be able to anchor the bottom?

      Thank you!! All the ones you can buy just didn’t seem like they would stop much and are really expensive! I should be able to anchor the bottom. I’ll get that figured out before I get it printed this spring. Ground is too cold to lay on ha!

    Thats awesome! Wish i could find that weaved material. I just busted up my grill on my kioti 5510.. 280$ to replace..

      Ouch! At least you didn’t go through the radiator. I found that piece buried in the backyard of our last house. Never knew what I would use it for until I got the tractor. Maybe check a scrap yard. I feel like it was part of a soil screen at some point.

      Well hopefully you find a good mesh grate in there!

    Did I miss where you pull the pins and fold the pushbar forward? Or it that just hanging loose at the bottom ?

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The grill is hanging loose at the bottom. I can still open the hood without having to move anything, so it works for me right now.

      I am just finishing up the top half it's cut out behind so the pins work and I did relief cuts in the angle iron to form to the bend of the push bar then re-weldeded them all, I will paint it all black when finished

      Welding is fun and not very difficult for simple welds. Best thing you can do is get a welder, watch some TH-cam videos and just practice.

    Careful welding against your tractor if it has the battery still connected. Many an ECU have been fried because of voltage/amperage spikes. Nice job and an upcoming project for me.

    Hi, could you have pulled the pins on the spring-loaded latches and notched the side near the radiator and reinstall so you rotate them to the tractor? Might be to late now but I like how BEEFY it is. Also maybe tack weld the top and bottom pieces so if anything hits them they won't unravel. Keep the videos coming.

      Thanks! That might work. I'll have to see. Definitely need to add a piece to the top and bottom. Bottom piece is probably how I'll mount it to the bottom of the tractor so nothing slips up underneath the guard. Thanks for watching and thanks for the input!
